Buy, sell and store real cryptocurrencies
A major way for bitcoin to be globally accepted is if governments all around the world accept bitcoin and create regulations and laws guiding it's practices. This way, more people will be able to openly buy and sell bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies without fear of arrest or detention. Untill then, bitcoin will still be treated as scam and fake money in those countries

The government's role in the development of bitcoins is very important. If the government of a country does not accept Bitcoin for that country, Bitcoin can not operate the country legally. Also, a country's government can contribute a lot to Bitcoin development. Bitcoin makes it easy to use, helps to increase acceptability etc. If the government wants Bitcoin can take many effective steps for it to play a big role in the development of Bitcoin.

Obama once said this about Bitcoin..... "its like having a Swiss bank account in your pocket"....he is correct.  Since Banks are already in bed with many governments, Banks will never allow for a government to embrace Bitcoin.

I witnessed in my country form last crypto ban ( Crypto currency became not legal tender currency anymore) . Then After i have seen lots of depreciation in market . Couldn't able to sell most of my holding . Even government started to harass crypto companies . I think government also plays major role like community . I think both plays equal role community as well as Government .

That's true, I somewhat had the same situation in my country. I think a government's role in the proliferation of cryptocurrencies in a country largely depends on its governments together with the big and trusted business that are the primary movers in one locale. I say that because a government moves and, at times, controls the mindset and thinking of people in their locality about how people should view and take on some business ventures, and that includes on their dealings with cryptocurrency. In many countries before, if their government would show some disapproval and doubts on using cryptocurrencies, many people have viewed it as somewhat a negative imagery, thus, affecting their acceptance of doing business with it. However, on the other hand, if a government openly supports cryptocurrencies, then it's a big boost for the market to be recognized in that country.

There is no question that there is a big and important role of government for the existence of Bitcoin, especially the United States. Just follow up the Huawei case. The US instructed US companies to stop dealing with Huawei. Google obliged and will block Huawei phones to Google apps. Imagine the US government going all-out war against Bitcoin.

I think this depends.

I mean there are a lot of things that the government is focussing right now, the same with our country and I don't think the development of Bitcoin is one of them. I mean they can't develop Bitcoin but they can make it legalized in the country. The only one making the development are the developers, we use it and the government legalizes it.
If there's already lots of end users the government will begin to learned and try to work with it, might be legalizing the system or try to regulate and
have a full control, assurance will be ranted if the government will legalize the system without interfering the whole process.

In my opinion the government has very big role in the development of bitcoin. The same as with the security exchange trading that has been brought to the next level with the government promoting it and anticipate the demand from the currencies all over the world. If only the government will meddle and take charge also the bitcoin system then for sure many will going to trust the system.
In my country the government does not carry out development that can increase the use of bitcoin for the community, because in principle bitcoin is prohibited as a means of payment.
But bitcoin is not prohibited for investment because in my country bitcoin is included in futures trading. For more information, trade in bitcoin is taken from overseas sites, especially those from developed countries.

Governments have a big role with the development of bitcoin. One example is the support that the cryptocurrency network got from Japan. Soon after the adoption of bitcoin by Japan there is a big change in the entire market. In my understanding when governments help with massive adoption there will be more number of users making it function perfectly and the scams can also be eliminated. Here only complication is the decentralization, when governments support the growth automatically they try to take it into their hands which completely destroys the market.
It takes for granted that governments have powerful in terms of bitcoin development. However, it seems like almost many governments in most countries in the world oppose cryptocurrency industry, they even impose a ban on using it. It's fortunate to have bitcoin accepted in some countries, which pave the way for bitcoin to gain in popularity and also accelerate cryptocurrency growth a lot. Hopefully, bitcoin may be accepted widely and officially in most places in the world.

Undoubtedly, the government of any country plays the most important role in the development of anything. This also applies to the circulation of digital money. The government is developing laws governing the high-tech business and giving it the opportunity to grow. Any community involved in the development and promotion of cryptocurrencies is important, but it all depends on the government decisions that regulate projects in the field of blockchain technologies.

I wouldn't say that governments are playing the most important role but definetely the significant. Ny the regulation and framework they give they could influence the development of cryptocurrencies in positive or negative way.
I think that with time their influence is becoming more and more positive because they are aware of importance of implementation of new technologies into society especialy economy and that new high-tech technologies including cryptocurrencies could contribute to prosperity of countries.

The ironic fact is that a centralized government can affect a decentralized cryptocurrency market in a good or bad way.
I agree with this. Yes, government plays an important role but it's either positive or negative. Our country's government, for example, has nothing against blockchain and cryptocurrency. In fact, its finance regulators announced last year that there will be a soon-to-launch nationwide educational campaign on digital currencies. However, they still make sure that the cryptocurrency are well-regulated. With this, people will know the benefits of crypto and will lead to adoption. (That is, if what you mean in 'development' is 'adoption'.)

What do you think, the Government or the community who play an important role in the development of Bitcoin?!

For a government to adopt the bitcoin has to be responsible for everything that can come, that is, have to support their investments, can not only buy and buy, because many holders of bitcoin have millions of bitcoins and if they decide to sell them all , the government of the nation has to answer for these massive sales, it would be fabulous for a government to take bitcoin as an alternative option to its traditional economy, but not to adopt it totally, because it could happen those events, and a government is always handled in Regarding returns in a safe way, you can not take risks where you lose money.

The government surely palsys a vital role in the development of bitcoin and the entire crypto market. If the governems should announce the legal approval of bitcoin and other major cryptocurrencies as payment methods it would help in the global use of cryptocurrencies as a currency.

The state has an impact on the development of bitcoin. It's the truth. Especially if this country has authority among other countries. People trust the government of the country in which they live and therefore if it approves bitcoin, then they will treat it well and use it.

Bitcoin has grown so far without the influence of the government so I guess they have nothing to do with its development unless they will approve its adoption as a currency. We all know that the government is against crypto and Bitcoin so I believe that bitcoin will continue to soar even without the help of the government.

If governments endorse bitcoin in their countries, it would be much more popular than nowadays, however I think there is zero chance of happening in most countries. Not only because it's a decentralized currency that can weak the local economy;
But also because it can give arguments to the opposition: just think if a government suggests their citizens to buy, hold, trade, invest in btcs, then some time later there is a serious dump, these people will lose money, and who does the opposition will blame? The government! As they advised people to enter bitcoin market.

It is definitely, if government announces it that bitcoin is legal in our country then no doubt, in a short time, bitcoin price will be increased more than our imagination. But behind the reason, most of the countries where bitcoin is illegal or ban, the reason their governments not like bitcoin, and they know that if they announces bitcoin in government level then they can't control bitcoin price.
