Although Bitcoin is said very risky so far and many people don't like Bitcoin, in fact, many communities or people are happy to gain money from Bitcoin.
lucky that we are all involving and trusting Bitcoin because we know how beneficial and what gives us now.

They can still work even during this pandemic, they can rise up their income from Bitcoin and many others.
Even Bitcoin may be not available as the payment method in a country, at least, this is legal to be used in order to earn money.
Maybe there are still not many local communities that know or understand about this, but it may be spreading to the real world again and again
in totality , Bitcoin and the crypto market is helpful because it is not only bitcoin that represent this amrket but the whole.

Since the introduction of cryptocurrency, Bitcoin the king of all crypto has been soaring high like an eagle in the sky.

Presently in my local community, Bitcoin investment has been of great help to the youths in which it has helped to reduced the rate of unemployment and poverty to some level through various Bitcoin investments most especially during the covid 19 period. Youths now rather invest in Bitcoin than search for Job that pays peanuts because they believe that the more they hold Bitcoin the more the gain.

This is the true nature of the potential bitcoin has to give back the power to people.

Is this what it means when Bitcoin claims that it gives back the power to the people? Or this is really how Bitcoin empowers the people? I don't think so. Your example is nothing about Bitcoin really. This is the way capitalism works. This is happening even outside Bitcoin so this is not really the empowerment that Bitcoin distinctly provides to the people. The kind of freedom and empowerment that Bitcoin provides is in financial or monetary terms, particularly that people don't have to depend on intermediary banks, governments, and central banks anymore. Bitcoin makes everybody their own banks. Their transactions are done directly to the person they're dealing with, without the intervention of third parties.

we can't deny the fact that during this pandemic period, a lot of people here benefited  with their knowledge of crypto. either by bounty programs, or using their skills in programming, artworks ect they used their skills or knowledge how to earn crypto during these challenging times and augment their source of income.
what the OP gave an example may not be important to others but for these Navajo people it is their saviour during tough times. and if they continue to expand, it means more people will get their employment. and this is true to other stories like in 3rd world countries, where their people start to learn how to deal with crypto and how to earn them.

With the price of Bitcoin getting more and more expensive, this is an opportunity for people who do have knowledge of the crypto world to make
a profit. Even if we compare Bitcoin with other assets, Bitcoin has a better performance. In a pandemic situation where there is a global crisis,
Bitcoin provides a solution as a source of income. Therefore, I have felt the benefits of Bitcoin, trying to help other people in my neighborhood
by educating them about Bitcoin. Because the majority of people in the world do not know Bitcoin properly.

I've always thought the best thing about knowing Bitcoin is that you can control your funds yourself and I still stand on that, thus when people have control of their funds all to themselves, then they can in turn use that advantage to create wealth, and that's the way Bitcoin has been helping individuals for a while now.
Creating new sources of wealth with bitcoin also requires new innovations that need to be made. Every individual who owns bitcoin assets now starts to make some investments or trades to double their assets.

Local Communities start growing with the help of bitcoin or cryptocurrency. Like El Salvador or in Africa that have adopted bitcoin and made it a legal payment to overcome their economic problems.

I'm responding base on the caution or topic sentence of this thread..." How Bitcoin can help local communities" from my own point of view, i understand that bitcoin does not help a community or can not help a community except a situation a community have particular funds of investment and also have a place were they assemble their funds for investment and possibly agreed to invest in cryptocurrency especially bitcoin.. bitcoin can only help individual base it's method of investing in bitcoin, because since i started observing people investment i never seen joint cryptocurrency investment.

In my opinion, the best way Bitcoin can and has helped local communities is by giving them a different sort of currency that puts control in their hands as they are their own bank, I do not quite see the presence of the mining company in Navajo as a big plus, the only thing I consider as being an advantage is prolly for the people who prior to this event didn't know about Bitcoin cause this is a sort of exposure to them as they can take time to understand what the network is all about and how it operates.

I've always thought the best thing about knowing Bitcoin is that you can control your funds yourself and I still stand on that, thus when people have control of their funds all to themselves, then they can in turn use that advantage to create wealth, and that's the way Bitcoin has been helping individuals for a while now.

Navajo are being benefited by bitcoin indirectly, because they just profit from the rent the company pays in order to operate the mining farm inside their territory. The impact would be much more positive if the native americans were being taught to adopt bitcoin individually and directly, having access to exchanges, virtual jobs, investments and any other kind of crypto related site. This way each Navajo could chart their own path in crypto universe, without having to wait for the good will or success of third party companies to get some pennies from that.

While it is cool that the Navajo have a mining farm on their grounds now, it is hard to know how it'll help those people get to a better future. It is like any other venture that will provide jobs (to only 11 people).

The part about financial inclusion also doesn't seem very convincing if those people don't already haven't been able to get out of poverty despite the existing support. Crypto is all the more self-driven. You have to be above a certain level for it to be able to help you. I am not sure that small, local Indian communities have that kind of access. You know things have blown out when Zuck comes in to claim metaverse.

Bitcoin is empowering local communities a little bit around the world. Native American communities have been stripped from their land and are struggling hard to escape poverty. This time is Bitcoin who is helping the Navajo people. West Block a Canadian mining company requested the Navajo nation to allow them for energy for a Bitcoin mine on Navajo land back in 2017. The company is currently employing 2 workers but has grown and is looking to have its operations increased to have 11 workers which will be hired among the community. The company is not only generating wealth for the community but is also providing them jobs and financial inclusion. This is the true nature of the potential bitcoin has to give back the power to people.

Not just the small community but we see that El Salvador which adopted bitcoins as legal tender also is helping and hoping that bitcoins would help them boost their prickliest economy where 1/5th of their GDP   came from people sending money from abroad , this transaction had high transaction fees since there are few banks and the money would be considered in international exchange ,
The country was paying a huge amount in transaction cost and less than 35% of the whole population had bank accounts,
It is said that every citizen were offered $30 which they could use for paying at shops or government taxes .

We see here one of the main reason for adopting could  be elimination of transaction fees in international transfer of money .

Every business will definitely involve new jobs. So it's good to have an impact on other communities as well. and also on the other hand bitcoin also helps a lot to expand one's business. and simplify online payments. when it comes to specifically helping poor people I haven't really seen anything happen in my country because of bitcoin. mostly middle and higher class people get benefit from it .

I think Bitcoin (Lightning Network) can make a huge impact on local (rural) communities, if the Internet infrastructure is there to support it. We have seen how M-PESA has been used successfully on mobile phones in Kenya in Africa in rural communities.

The same can be implemented from Apps and wallets on mobile phones with FREE Wifi hotspots in smaller villages, where small retailers do their business. This will give them the benefit of much lower fees and also instant transactions without intermediaries.  Grin

Actually, crypto is a chance for poor people to earn money. Even if you don't have capital to invest, you can invest your time and play NFT games or participate in different airdrops, bounties, ambassador programs. It all requires time but if you need money and don't have opportunity to work in other places, it will be the best choice for you. I have heard a lot of news about people from Africa who earned a lot thanks to Axie.

I would not call your methods reliable to raise your financial condition.
In the absence of work, sitting on the net for participation in bounty programs or games is, in my opinion, a waste of time, nothing more. But of course, different countries have different needs, and I also see a lot of people here participating in bounty programs who hope to earn something. But as practice shows, almost all works are often in vain.
A better way out would be a deep immersion in the study of bitcoin, and the further acquisition of a profession that will always be relevant on the Internet.

I don't think it's a direct help, but entities see bitcoin as an opportunity to make money out if. Just like what you said, the mining company requested the Navajo people to used their land for bitcoin mining. 2 workers to 11 workers? I don't think it will put a big dent on their local economy, unless they are like 20 people in their neighborhood. Yes, I know that bitcoin has open a lot of doors, but this is just an exaggeration to me.

When I was reading the news I was thinking the same thing. They paint it as a great benefit for the Indian community but who really profits is the Canadian firm. It may be a little helpful but it's an exaggeration, starting with the title of the article that looks like they are all Navajo mining with PCs from their homes.

This is the true nature of the potential bitcoin has to give back the power to people.
They used the land to build a workplace and employed the people living there to get a job as a sort of "compensation" for taking their land. While I appreciate the fact that the people were given jobs, it did not change the balance of power towards the people. It also depends on whom you include in the word "people" - the owners of the mining company can also be included in it because they are also using bitcoin.

So my opinion is that using this topic to conclude that the natives got "power" is a wrong conclusion - rather it gave them a job opportunity to work somewhere and earn a living - that is more appropriate.

Owning a land and working on previously sold land as a day worker - these are different things. One would always want the first one and that is what the Natives have been deprived off for long. I am not saying that the mining company is bad, they need to grow and expand too.

I mean maybe not in a direct way, i don't think that actual bitcoin or mining facilities will such a significant impact on the regain or the local community itself, it may create like a dozen job positions, but not at the point where it solves unemployment or bring huge income to them, however in places where renewable energy could created and used to power the mining facilities could make for a significant change to the region, for example for communities who live in the desert region of Africa could benefit from projects that use solar energy to generate electricity, where it could open jobs for creating, maintaining transporting power and even manufacturing solar panels, which could also lead to crypto mining facilities set in those regions the same way we see geothermal being used to mine bitcoin.
