I wish your financial stability will further progress into financial freedom for sure because you realized that information is wealth which will give you the enough knowledge and help you to get out of the 9-5 trap in the upcoming years.

Most of the people who had bitcoins in the past never imagined that bitcoin will grow this much in the next few years now everyone regret about selling their crypto assets at some point in 2020 and later.

Atleast from now on the crypto users will start to hold and reach their financial freedom at much better rate than the current traditional investment sector.

I was going through all the comments on this topic and it seems Bitcointalk has not only helped most of us financially but has also been a knowledge source.

I hate wall of block but to tell you i read every inch of words you wrote and honestly this is a good story. Everyone have their own and yours is quite interesting. Investing is something we cant just do just like that and with ounce of courage we could earn a lot from it. Yes there are risky way but when we encounteres something we failed then thats the part where we get matured and learn from it. Thumbs up OP.
Thank you for your kind words, I tried to arrange my text and make the story as interesting and appealing as possible. This is an appreciation thread for what I've learned through the forum, it has really made a huge impact, words cannot describe it.
Knowledge is power indeed! You have come a long way and showed that desire through your story and this should be inspirational for those that have read this but of course let's not treat the forum more like a cash cow, this is place to learn and share ideas and we grow the community together.

Btw you talking about faucets just brought back some old memories  and I myself was so addicted to them it was one of the easiest ways to gain crypto at the time, men time moves so fast....
Those faucets, I wish there was a way to know how much they would be worth now. Thanks to them, I was introduced to Bitcoin and this forum, despite not having most of these funds, it was a great experience nonetheless.

A good lesson so far for me as well. Seems somehow you have been getting benefits from the forum by learning. Sadly before introducing myself to the forum, I lost a lot which is unrecoverable. Same as you, once I joined the forum and start learning about cryptocurrency then somehow I am getting benefits from here. Gain some trading skills, manage a couple of campaigns, and by doing the signature campaign. I have to admit I have earned a decent amount of Bitcoin from the forum although it's not life-changing but quite helpful.

I believe your story will motive others for learning about cryptocurrency. We always should keep in mind, the forum isn't any marketplace from where you can earn, but by learning from here we can earn definitely. Should learn and apply in life.
This website is the absolute tool to gain knowledge, experience, which may lead into an earning opportunity. There's a lot of knowledge around here and has even inspired me to delve deeply into Digital Currency and Blockchain.

After quite a while, playing with faucets, I had acquired myself a semi-decent amount of BTC, which I unfortunately spent buying game accounts, such as Minecraft and a few other stuff I don't remember now. On the other hand, some BTC was left untouched till now, we'll get back to that later on.
Very nostalgic.

I remember when I had a lot of BTC in legit faucets and now I don't have access to them because I forgot about them. Imagine if I still had those faucet accounts; I already have a lot of money because of BTC, and the price is pretty high right now in comparison to when faucets were a thing.

You are not alone, maybe not faucets but I know I have some altcoins in the past that I was not able to recover anymore, the coin has pumped pretty hard during the last 2018 bull run, and I keep recovering it but I ended up accepting that I already loss that big money.

What I did is I just move on, forget and learn from my painful experience and I stay positive that one day I'll make money again in crypto.

Bitcointalk is a nice forum, I learn a lot here including how to earn bitcoin, so I would never forget or leave the forum.

Ever since I joined bitcoiners,my life has not been thesame.Things have changed,my financial stability has been enhanced,I have had savings I never imagined to have between a period of time.
Bitcointalk discussion group does not only enhance learning, but it also facilitates an individual's finance level, making one have a boost in finance.

Bitcointalk have given so many financial breakthrough,it has built broken marriages that were on verge of collapse through financial incapabilities.I joined Bitcointalk and my life switched from bad to good, from brokeness to greatness, from being financially handicapped to being financially bouyant. Turn to Bitcoin, and your life will never remain the same.

Exactly, the Bitcointalk forum has changed many people's life. This forum can really give more than awesome things, not only the various information about Bitcoin and all cryptocurrencies but also much more about it. And, I also started my journey in crypto through this forum, learning from topic to topic, trying to get as much as information.
This forum can teach us many things, about crypto and also how it can be one of the ways to earn money from here.
Although my experience is not as astonishing as yours, I am aware and also very thankful to this forum. This is awesome experiences, getting earning from here, getting new friends, knowing many people from around the world, discussing and also exchanging ideas with each other, getting more and more knowledge about crypto.
This is true, this forum really can make better financial stability, I also have this here.

I read the whole story of the author completely, and even touched a little, because many people are the same as the author, study, try, lose, nl in the end, the most persistent get what they want, so you never need to stop and look for new ways and methods, as the author describes.

Well we kind of started the same, OP. Though those faucets didn't became really much of a role for me back then in introducing cryptocurrencies as I was late already in earning those like many have mentioned that these days, they are pretty much waste of time anymore.
I imagine if there was like an ordinary Joe back in the days that got rich due to faucets. Cheesy

This motivates me, maybe I found out about this site too late. But from this forum I learned a lot about crypto. Even though I know bitcoin trading since 2015. But I know this forum is only 2019 and I am not very interested in this in the early years. My friends always encourage me to join, and I only joined around May 2020. In the process until now I have had to fight hard. But thanks my struggle didn't fail I got appreciation from many friends and got the responsibility to write in the campaign that got me BTC. This is a fortune that adds to my finances as an honorary teacher who gets a fairly small salary.

Honestly, I have a goal to make quality posts, but it seems that Covid is taking up a lot of my time. I am an teacher in my country, until now my students are still learning from home, this makes the evenings I usually spend studying in forums, have to be changed by assessing and researching student assignments.  Cry
I might have found this site early, but I was inactive for quite a few years. Fortunately, I have the privilege to remember the early days of Bitcoin, back when it was worth $200, although, there are people here who were introduced to it before it was even worth $10. Don't regret what you didn't do in the past, because I've got plenty of things to regret too. Keep moving forward.

I started out with faucets, back then, they would pay more than 1000 Satoshi for each roll, which is an extravagant amount for our current standards.
Yeah, isn't it crazy how much bitcoin you could get from faucets just a couple of years ago?  And I think faucets are--or at least used to be--a lot of people's introduction to bitcoin.  That was true for me back when I first started getting interested in crypto, as I didn't know how to go about buying it at first (or even how it worked exactly).

Thanks for sharing that story, OP.  I thought it was going to be a bloated shitpost at first, but I actually enjoyed reading it.  This thread should probably be in Reputation or some other section, though.

Thank you for your kind words, I really appreciate feedback from reputable members of this forum. I wasn't sure on where to post this, and decided to post on Economics because I was talking about financial stability, I see that it has been moved to the appropriate category already. This thread is a way to say thank you, in return, for what this forum has provided me.

Returning to the main topic now, faucets were really paying great amounts in BTC back then, I was also in MoonDoge and one more which was paying in Litecoin, can't even remember its name. They definitely used to be the first portal to cryptocurrency, I wish I had abused them to the maximum potential, let's also keep in mind how many they were back then, literally hundreds of different ones.

This is a coincidence, my brother who is in crypto longer than me was talking about
these faucets yesterday, press a button and you got multiples of Bitcoin, crazy
to think that Bitcoin was given out free at a certain stage to aid its adoption.

Good OP @Ultegra134 this is a common story as @jackg posted. I enjoyed your story.

What is commendable is that you remembered all your passwords, you returned
to the forum and are planning for the future.
Faucets played an important role in introducing people to crypto. Unfortunately, most have shut down, with only few remaining. Wasn't too much of a hassle to recover my account, even if I had forgotten the login credentials.

Lucky for you as you experienced having account in a faucet which I read after I joined this forum. It is said that faucets can help you earn btc little by little until you'll get a semi decent amount. Even though I didn't start learning crypto at a young age like yours but I am also like you. Don't have a job and also don't have funds to invest for example. Spending 10 dollars is already a pain in the ass so, if owning/having 600 dollars is already a big amount of money in my country. Learning crypto even if it's years later still not too late in learning crypto.

Always give gratitude that's one life hack to receive more blessings (assistance) in life. I read your thread to the end as I wanted to hear your story. After I saw you entered into the industry at a young age, I immediately have to view your profile and you registered way back in 2014 nice, just trying to visualize how the forum was like back them. It would had been a privilege if I had such experience.

I also have benefited handsomely from the forum and involving myself in Bitcoin in general, I think there isn't another out there that's doing it right whether with bitcoin or on the forum that hasn't been rewarded. The forum offers numerous opportunity that it would be foolish not to profit form your engagement here.

The content here only are top notch and free meanwhile it would have cost you fee hundreds of dollars to access elsewhere. One can basically be a noob without any knowledge in the industry and within few months of engagement on the forum will be equiped with some basic knowledge to begin his/her Bitcoin journey. The forum is such a blessing and only those that realize that benefits from it.

Ps: seems like I'm the only one that lost to Defi .
Indeed, if you're passionate and focused, there's a lot to read and learn about here, gain information and knowledge which may lead you to a passive income in the long run. The amount of content which is 100% free here is astonishing.
All this DeFi and altcoin investing is basically gambling. You might win big in short term, but if you continue doing this, there's a huge chance to lose it all, because you're always one step away from a huge crash. DeFi's get hacked often or can have bugs that crash the price, altcoins are subject to pump and dump schemes, and so on.

IMO you should focus on developing skills that would support you for the rest of your life instead of trying to get rich quick with crypto.
It's extremely risky for sure, these DeFi projects are a pure gamble themselves. I was lucky the first time, I'm not sure if I'll always be lucky, thus, I'm trying to be careful on where I invest. There are quite a few instances of rug pulls or even hacked (Experienced myself too but wasn't affected luckily).

I'm really interested in learning new things and developing skills that can aid later on, however, I'm not sure on where to look, haven't thought to myself about what I'd like to do, what I'd like to study further and what skills to develop. I'm really on a mental block.

I have to admit that at first I didn’t take the earning potentials with bitcoin and crypto so seriously.
At first, I looked at everything as fun and a hobby  in a free time.
Now I look at everything differently, from a different perspective.
By reading and following all possible information on this forum, I slowly became a serious investor in various crypto projects, and made significant money.
I'm slowly approaching the achievement of my financial goals and financial freedom and this forum has played a very important role in that.
