If we talk about the possibility you can buy a hardware wallet without getting any trouble, there's always a way, but it's not something that you should since you still has an option to create your own cold storage.

I agree with the above users, just use your old device or buy a new cheap device which never connected to internet and run Electrum via offline.

For me self created cold storage is better than produced hardware wallet, you can read this Ledger Recovery - Send your (encrypted) recovery phrase to 3rd parties entities

In most developed countries you are usually free to buy drug accessories but not the drug itself. So even if crypto was banned , the hardware wallet wouldn’t be banned. However where you are from I don’t think that applies.

My advice just use something like Electrum offline. As long as you got some old laptop you no longer use you can create an offline wallet which signs your transactions on your online computer. Just go to the Electrum section of bitcointalk.

I am from a country where crypto currencies are strongly legalized. I know about the hardware wallet security it's best for the long-term bitcoin holder. Now is there anyway to import a hardware wallet to any country where crypto currencies are illegal ?
And one more things I wanna know that how can I chose a best budget friendly hardware wallet?

I would recommend you to go for a cold software based wallet instead of a hardware wallet because the software cold wallets are also very safe and one can use those without any issue. As far your cold wallet is not connected to internet your security is far higher than those hardware wallets, and in a country where Bitcoin is banned one should opt for software based wallet instead of hardware wallet.

I suggest you to go with Electrum if you made your mind to go with a cold software wallet because this wallet is open-source, and is currently the best wallet most of the investors use. I'm quite sure that most Bitcoiners who use Electrum are very sure that this is the safest option when it's used as a cold wallet. I highly recommend you to go with this wallet instead of looking for a hardware wallet, and yes, you should still be careful because there can be legal problems for a citizen if he/she is doing something that's banned in a country. Do it at your own risk my friend!

If you still want to go with a hardware wallet then try to build your own instead, and for that you can find many tutorials online which teach you that how you can built such a wallet yourself. I would recommend you to watch this video whose link I will post below because I think this video can be very helpful for you.

What do you mean by import a hardware wallet to any country?

You can buy a hardware wallet and use it to store cryptocurrency or send cryptocurrency to other wallets which can be hardware wallets or hot wallets or cold wallets or even online accounts like centralized exchanges.

Hardware wallets are not your only choices as you can use free open source non custodial wallets. You can use those wallet softwares to set up your multi signature wallets or cold wallets. They are free so if your budget is not enough to buy a hardware wallet, you can consider alternatives.

If you want to find hardware wallets.

[Nope]No hype delivers more than hope
Request for advice is almost the same as: How to buy a hardware wallet anonymously

I think if the government bans crypto doesn't mean they ban crypto related accessories as well, then buying a hardware wallet should be fine. If it is assumed that it is also prohibited, the clear legal risk is when shipping from abroad where the goods must go through customs inspection.

I remember that the Ledger wallet allows buyers to customize their wallet orders. Maybe with this trick (plus doing some of the suggestions in the thread I mentioned above), your item will be delivered without any problems. Anyway, DWYOR.

Don't think it is hard, if you own your key, then you don't worry about anything even if crypto is banned and very forbidden in your country. What thinks make you worried is if your Bitcoin assets are on an exchange and online wallet. Because if you have an asset where the country banned crypto then your asset on exchange and online wallet will be banned and frozen also. About hardware wallet, Now it's getting cheaper, you can choose a hardware wallet that many people use it. Or, if you don't enough money, you can use electrum where you can use it offline and save your key in anywhere.

Hey, buddy why you do wanna get in trouble?I am seeing you are from my local community, Don't you know what is going on Bangladesh? You should know how people associated with cryptocurrency are being sent to jail.
Even then you wanna take risks the illegal way are opens for you, but it's contained huge risk. Moreover, you can buy some of your relatives or friends when they come to the country from abroad I pray that they are not caught at the airport, moreover you can bring it from India through roads.

As far as I know, Bangladesh is a country that still holds a hostile stance towards cryptocurrency and anything related to it.  I also have a friend from your country and he said that apart from investing or using cryptocurrency, buying hardware wallet is also not possible in your country.  my Bangladeshi friend can only buy hardware wallets through friends studying abroad, they will purchase hardware wallets and pass them on to his relatives in India, and he has to go to India to get it. he said it is the only way to buy hardware wallets because the government is very aggressive in blocking cryptocurrencies.

The only way I can think of is go out of the country and then purchase your hardware wallet. Or if you have a friend outside that lives in a country wherein crypto is legal or at least government are crypto friendly then you can ask your friend to purchase it for you. But still, it's either your friend take the risk of bringing it into your country by concealing it, or you yourself going out of your country and you are the one carrying it when you come back.

As for the hardware wallet, it's either,

Why would you use hardware wallet in a country wherein crypro is banned? Also why would they still invest if they're from that country? Your money would be on deep sleep if ever the restriction won't be lifted by the government. Also, this technology is not the only investment option so don't push it here. Let's say you are able to invest, but how would you pull it out? Let us not be too optimistic, there'd be a time you'd need to pull your investment out. If you are still that eager, I guess electrum wallets would be enough to allow you from doing so. It just depends on the ctual situation whether it is toatally banned or just not supported by governments.

As long as you're using a decentralized platform, no one can stop you because there are no intermediaries involved in the Bitcoin which is purely decentralized.  You may encounter problems when you mix it up using decentralized and using centralized platforms.

Here's a big list of what you need, [BIG LIST] Hardware wallets (80+).
But if you have a large amount of Bitcoin, I rather spend a hardware wallet that has good security features to secure my Bitcoin.
Always purchase hardware wallets directly from the official website or authorized resellers to avoid potential scams or tampered devices which is commonly happen.

Governments generally don't ban everything about crypto, they only ban trading it for fiat currency and using it for payments. It's most likely not illegal to own a hardware wallet. Although buying one could attract attention of authorities, but I'd say even that isn't very likely.

As for how to buy it - ask people in your local community, every country is different in terms of international shipments.

And remember, there's always an alternative way - using old PC or laptop as cold storage by never plugging it to the Internet and signing transactions offline.

I do not know how you're going to do that in such a way that it won't be risky for you, but if you can't get a hardware wallet and you need a strong security for your funds, set up an Electrum wallet on a completely air-gapped device [1], this will give you as much security as a hardware wallet if you do it correctly.

If you can manage to get a hardware wallet, then you should be looking for a secure and open source hardware wallet [2]

It could be a possibility we can’t say. The government sometimes are too stern on their rules and any attempt to break the rules are mostly treated like committing the crime it selves. So it would be better to not get in there way.
does this mean that they will also arrest people that own a hard wallet despite the hard wallet not having anything in it just because it is associated with cryptocurrency?

Hey ~speedx~ l would say take the advice of crypto Library, because your personal safety is always paramount to everything. Aside hardware wallets. I have read about how all this non custodian wallets like electrum wallet can work almost perfectly when air gapped, why not try that way instead and then if your country restrictions towards bitcoin lessens you can buy yourself a hardware wallet

May be not or may be yes. Because surely no one will use or order a hardware wallet who is not associated with crypto currency?
And if the ordered person is identified once, maybe atleast inquiry will be conducted against him? My point is what is the need to get into trouble or identify as a crypto currency user.
For now, even if you use cold wallet without thinking about hardware wallet, may be it works ?

does the hard wallet contain cryptocurrency? if not, I don't see why there would be trouble to get one or import one. but just to be sure, you'd better read the country(seems like to are from Bangladesh) law against cryptocurrencies.
