First of all choose your altcoins. You can reach all details on coinmarketcap. And define that, which market's price is better for your altcoins. And care about market volume, it is very important for a safe trade.

If the altcoin is already on coinmarketcap website, it has a tab called 'markets' which details the exchanges where you can trade the coin.

However, in most cases, particularly for the smaller exchanges you'll need to get bitcoin or ethereum first to trade for the altcoin.

For these smaller exchanges, you generally can't give your regular currency (us dollars, euro or whatever) to buy altcoins. You first need to buy ethereum/bitcoin from a larger exchange.

The best place to buy bitcoin or ethereum directly with regular currency could depend on where you live. For example, bittrex is used by a lot of people who live in the US.

Hope that helps. But in short, you generally need to get ethereum or bitcoin before you can get less well known altcoins.

Poloniex and Bittrex the solution, the both based in the US and providing a variety of altcoins.
How to buy it, I think is very easy.
Create an account by clicking on sign up, enter email address  and password, find the email verification in your inbox, continue with click link that is in verification email.
Next you have to login crypto exchange that you like (Poloniex or Bittrex). then, do deposit via the nearest bank.
Then there, make a purchase and select altcoin that you like.
(please do not laugh)  Grin.

Poloniex (a US-based digital asset exchange offering maximum security and advanced trading features).

Bittrex (provide individuals and businesses a world class experience to buy and sell cutting-edge cryptocurrencies and digital tokens. Based and fully regulated in the USA, Bittrex is the go-to spot for traders who demand lightning fast trade execution, stable wallets, and industry-best security practices. bitcointalk is not a place of exchange. poloniex, bittrex, binance, c-cex and others it is a place of exchange. trading is not something that is easy to understand, you must first know altcoins, which coin is profitable. the coin's excess from the other coin.

Hi Good Day!

to buy some altcoins you need to register to an exchange,
deposit bitcoin for its the currency needed to purchase coins, although etherium now can also be use,
also one thing you should know is that , you need to learn what to buy,
it is not just hype , study the coin you like before you buy it, because trading is a serious matter unless you just want to buy few once just to have
an altcoin,

It depends on what coins you want to buy
not all exchanges sell ALL tokens

you can go to coinmarketcap.com and if you find the coin you like and click on its page there is a list of all the exchanges that trade it

Hi I am new user in bitcointalk.org and I want to buy some altcoin. I have no experience about trading. Please share your experience.

If you want to buy small amount of altcoin:

If you just want to quickly buy an altcoin like Monero, Ether, Dash, Factom, NEO or other, you can use ShapeShift. The fees are a little bit higher – basically Shapeshift trades on Poloniex and Bittrex for you so that you don’t have to – but if you are looking to buy a couple hundred dollars worth only, it might be a viable option as the fees won’t add up to much.
If If you want to buy larger amount of altcoin
In general, you will be better off using either Bitstamp, Bitfinex or Bittrex for larger BTC-to-altcoin trades. Choose according to your preference:
Bitstamp is the only one that will need to have you verified.
Bittrex has a withdrawal limit of 100 BTC worth a day for unverified accounts.
Bitfinex has the lowest fees

Well first of all grab some Bitcoins. The best places I know of are Coinbase and Localbitcoins. Both simple to use but I prefer Localbitcoins as I've never had a problem using their platform

And then take yourself to other exchanges like Bittrex, Yobit, Livecoin and many more.... Trade your Bitcoin for another altcoin
