Pick exchanges or Peer to Peer marketplaces, without KYC, and buy Monero, Ethereum or Bitcoin.
https://kycnot.me/

If KYC is the main issue then P2P is the only solution OP. P2P deals often come with risk, hence I am warning you to be extra careful while dealing with P2P or private deals. You can try bisq, as it has good customer reviews and many trusted traders are present there, else I have personally used Paxful, they allow upto certain limits to trade, but I guess Monero not available there. So yes try the sites available here, and check all the terms and conditions before starting a trade there.

Is this a phishing site or what? because when I access this site, it says the connection isn't secure.

While xchange.me didn't have such warning.

The website looks like a highly attempt to copy another service which has more reliable background (check my previous post[1] for more information). I actually went ahead and personally warned the user in order to avoid using the exchange but it does seem that there was an attempt to publicize the service even so.

I'm wondering what the best ways to get Monero without linking it to my Coinbase account are. With the lowest fees possible, of course.
There are several non-kyc exchanges that have listed monero, and Bisq is one of the best options as decentralized exchange.
Other alternatives are LocalMonero or Agoradesk p2p trading, Unstoppable swap, eXch exchange, etc.
Some centralized exchanges still have monero listed but I would be very careful with them.

No I am not, why is it not to be trusted? Because they're not the one that pays for your signature?

Works well for me.
If it works well for you (til now) then it's good, but shit can happen. Based on this information, it means xchange.me isn't that anonymous because they could ask you to submit KYC.

I've used Xchange.cx

I tried Xchange.cx and got my Monero. Not sure if it's a copy of a better service, but it worked for me.

I will check out your options as well.
As long as you're able to get your monero there then that's fine. So, aside from actually getting it on p2p like on the forum's currency exchange or marketplace of altcoins.

If there are services like that which have been posted here, you must try them especially if they're suggested by reputable folks here.

I am not sure why everyone on this thread is too intrested in promoting an exchange that is running a signature campaign. When they could have given information about Bisq DEX and localMonero exchange. I did see OPs reply and it looks like this thread is a not for asking question but for shilling the same exchange which as I have said earlier is running a signature campaign.

Using an unknown centralized exchange is risky even though if we say that they are not strict as the known ones and maybe that is one of their tactics to attract people and do something bad with them later on? At this point, a well-known decentralized exchange can be his best bet.
Of course, using well-known central exchanges is much better because they are reliable, but the problem is that all well-known exchanges require KYC and since the OP does not want to link his account to the transaction, so I advised him to use a temporary account in an unknown exchange.

This account will be temporary to carry out this transaction only for the sake of anonymity, as there are many unknown exchanges that do not require KYC, and after that it is better not to use it again.

Members, don't even waste your time. This thread was created to shill a shady exchange.

1. OP pretends to be a newbie looking for a way to get monero using BTC or ETH anonymously.

2. About two minutes later, some random newbie account (needsHELP) recommends  Xchange.cx . Please note that, his account posting history since the beginning of this year is mostly about shilling the suspicious exchange

3. Despite all suggestions from the members. ghostmanx (OP) claims that he used Xchange.cx anyway.

Both accounts are linked and are just trying to shill a shady service in a stupid way.

Works well for me.
I mean they did explain the reason why. If you find a website that clearly imitates a well-known service with little to no history, are you really going to trust it with your money? Sure, you make one or two trades successfully, but there's no guarantee they won't run away/block your funds when you start sending them more money with a made-up reason such as a KYC check. Judging from your recent post history though, I tend to believe you're doing marketing for them as mentioned above instead of really looking for a good place to trade Monero anonymously.

You don't need Coinbase to get Monero, there are many decentralized exchanges mentioned above that you can use easily without KYC.

You can also register with a temporary account in one of the unknown central exchanges that do not require KYC, where you can register with only temporary email information and then buy Monero for cheap fees and send it to any account or wallet you own.
And it's weird on why a fully anonymous coins like Monero are listed on a centralized exchange when it was only defeating their true purpose but BTC is only pseudonymous and many BTC users are not really concerned about their privacy so it's fine for it to be found and obtained there, more with Ethereum because the coin is known to be centralized.

Using an unknown centralized exchange is risky even though if we say that they are not strict as the known ones and maybe that is one of their tactics to attract people and do something bad with them later on? At this point, a well-known decentralized exchange can be his best bet.

You need to use DEX like bisq p2p to convert  bitcoin or Etherum to monero, for privacy. Using Coinbase is not safe because it is a centralized exchange. Or you can use the other exchanges that have been mentioned by the posters above.

This is the best way to be anonymous, since monero is more decentralized.

I've used Xchange.cx a bunch of times recently. They only charge 1% for nearly instant trades, with no signup or KYC required.

I'll PM you my affiliate code, if you don't mind (don't think I'm allowed to post it here).

This exchange that you provided is not to be trusted. Are you their agent.   Grin

Looks like both newbies are here for make-story-believe drama, the site used is supposed to be a phishing site from the site mentioned of @RickDeckard.
With all the replies above, the OP only cares and replies the replies of the newbie. So yeah, it's suspicious enough to think that these newbies came here to promote that site both verbal/written and google ways of SEO.

For privacy purpose only then I will advise you to use p2p to remain anonymous as you may which, otherwise bestchange also has the feature you needed just visit bestchange.com and or exch. Please do your proper investigation on where you are sending your funds to buy the other coin you wanted.
Be very mindful on how you accept pm from any newbie or anyone as they can posse to be a trader or deal and got you scammed.

You are also free to use the service that you'll find in my signature space, which have proven to be quite reliable. They provide both Clearnet[1] and Onion[2] addresses and they do not have any kind of KYC implemented, no registration and they also do not use Cloudflare to host their services. They also run a thread right here on the forum[3].

As of posting this, they don't have reserves of Monero available but I suppose it is just a matter of time until they (re)stock them. As you can see their 24h volume of Monero was ~ 15.198, so I'm sure that they will eventually get more to provide to their users. If you want to know the market of this type services you can also find more listed here[4] (look for swap exchanges).

A quick URL scanner shows that the service was created just 4 months ago[5]. Also it looks to be a copy of a more established service that is actually called Xchange.me[6] that was first created on 2015[7], so I highly advise OP not to follow this recommendation.

Please use the affiliate code I have sent you by PM. It's the same low fee for you, only I get half of it, instead of it all going to the big tech company.
