How can I create my own religion and get followers?

There's a lots of business that you can try OP creating this one would be not so easy, just need to think it twice before thinking of creating your own one.

It's easy to create a religion.  The problem would be getting followers.  You need to be charismatic and a leader and you will be able to convince people that your religion is the right one.

Could we have at least the name of the gentleman? ^^

He used to be sponsored by Kool-Aid Punch flavor If I remember...

Guyana Punch! Hahahha

That is a picture of Jim Jones, he built a cult of followers and moved them to Guyana where they were all led to their death by drinking cyanide-laced Kool-Aid. The whole story is pretty interesting, there have been several films based on it, Powers Boothe portrayed Jones in the main one I've seen - Guyana Tragedy: The Story of Jim Jones.

i have never heart this before.. this case was tragic and at the same time sarcastic.. but what made these people do this stupid thing to their life ? this must be investigated ...

Do not wonder. Everything is possible for religion. Even killing (apparently) smart people.

Bitcointalk is our temple. We have the faithful, the greedy, the liar, the snake and thousands of false prophets predicting the end of times...

You have to first explain what your religion is all about. Next, create a blog surrounding and explaining the practices of said religion. Start fundraisers I suppose. Just do what you can to work it out. Something tells me though that starting a religion isn't just like starting a business.

Or, maybe it is. I'm not sure. I don't know. I don't want to start a religion.

Guess you have to start with you Bitcoin guys as your audience. Good idea then would be to promote using signature campaigns. Well they are a hit arent they. Lol just kidding. I think it all begins with a philosophy. If people start to imbibe your vision, then i guess you have yourself a religion of your own.

Guys, are you seriously trying to promote a religion with sig campaigns? xD

It's a fucked up thing to do, especially for the reasons you listed.  But if you want to start a religion for fun, profit, and getting head then you ought to see how L. Ron Hubbard did it with Scientology, as was mentioned a few posts up.  He did it big and the fucking thing is successful (depending on your standards) to this day.  He was a good salesman and he had imagination, and those two things made him successful.  And he was a fucking degenerate scumbag as well, so if you don't possess that characteristic then forget about it.

Good luck to you.  Don't be a cunt.

Religion is a great business these days.
How can I create my own religion and get followers?

Create multiple threads viewed by 100s of 1000s here, first. Convert everyone contributing to your threads. Set a goal with them. Make them pay for your temple, via patreon or kickstarter

That's it.

 Cool

Ahah!

Not sure Religion would have a great success here though.

We already have the great BTC God with his son Satoshi Wink

Its like selling hope to your audience and if you can make them buy that, sure you can ask for the 10% of their earnings every month.
thats how profitable this business is when infact. the mention of tithes was only on the old testament. the new testament didn't mention of this 10%.

the new testament says "each one must give as he decided in his heart not reluctantly or under compulsion" Smiley
