I think their goal was to unfollow specific threads, to clean up the list of new replies. I'd actually like to know how to do this as well, since as far as I can tell it's not possible.

My "Show new replies to your posts" tab is really messy now.

I tried to edit my watchlist but it just kept notifying me of new replies still.
