They must know that to be interested with bitcoin, indeed it has many advantage for the merchants if they start to accept btc as one of their payment system and the challenge is how to encourage them to use it. i will start with my businessman friend, its easy to explain to him the benefits he will get if he use it because he know and trust me. then if he show interest that would be the start that he will spread the news with his business partners.

Just give them the right websites for them to know more about bitcoin so that they will have an idea to study what is bitcoin. And it's our duty to introduce bitcoin to them, it's given. There's no need for 'a lot of advertisement' because bitcoin is going to become popular for the months or years to come. Tell them the advantage and disadvantage of bitcoin.

the thing that you are talking about, is the biggest issue we currently have with bitcoin and cryptocurrencies overall.
The number of people interested about it is not so big, which literally makes accepting cryptocurrency payments in shops does not give such an advantage above the other companies.

Also, last times we have to pay higher fees, even sometimes up to 50k satoshi per transaction, and there is still problem about confirmation time, as we are talking about micropayments.
I think it is simply to early to think about something like that.

So how can anyone know not the value of bitcoin, when it is just that easy to type "bitcoin" in google to see how much it is worth?
I have to agree with the fact that someone may have never heard about cryptocurrencies, or bitcoins but the value case is fairly easy to solve, it is just going into google.

Without big amount of transactions sent daily through blockchain, and a really big number of people participating in the cryptocurrency world, we won't be able to encourage merchants to using bitcoin as a way to pay for the products, because it won't be simply worth for them. Not enough customers would use bitcoin payments, to consider implementing such a solution into the shop/store, unless it is shop with digital goods.

Bitcoin is not taxed but the sales of your company will still be taxed. You're going to pay the exact same tax regardless if you sold your items in bitcoins or in fiat. There's no chargeback but the transaction time is not instant. You can't close a deal right away. And you can't just say that even without confirmation, the transaction is already done. This is probably the problem that lead other merchants to change their mind about accepting bitcoins. There's also the micro-transaction problem but this problem can be solved by using a different cryptocurrency.

We can never guarantee the increase in bitcoin's price so we can't actually use it to persuade the merchants. When the price of bitcoin goes low, the scenario will be them blaming us and regretting the decision of accepting bitcoins.

Don't see in government website, need personally go reach them. Many country government website no do mention in btc using.

actually tell them the risk they accept bitcoin include their a/c audit.

If they receive bitcoin debit card,
there will be fees on merchant so better confirm more card user then can accept card.

Tell him their revenue will be drop if btc price drop.
If they decided to hold btc then they need enough cash flow which support their business.

always sharing anything of bitcoin to let them feel confidence against bitcoin.

People don't just jump on the boat just because they were enlightened about the idea. I can be a bitcoin user but I will not accept bitcoin in my business right away because it has its disadvantages. First, the authority might think that you're trying to avoid taxation.

Second, there's not that much people using bitcoin especially in smaller scale businesses. I'm just going to waste my money hiring someone to make a system for me so I can accept bitcoin as payment.

Lastly, it's just not going to work out for me. Bitcoin isn't a mainstream thing yet and even if a businessman sees an opportunity on how accepting bitcoins might increase his sales, there will be very little to no increase in sales because the number of bitcoin users is quite small as of now.

They might go with business first, but once they saw innovation has a good factor in their business. It will give them some understanding and they will realize that it will be a good option for their business. Once they've got a bitcoin user customer, that will just go and up suddenly if they want to make their sales go up.

"Profit", "easy money", "Huge Interest", "Best investment" and many more really catches the attention of most people. Who doesn't want money anyway. I don't see any reason how local businesses accepting bitcoins will have profit by doing so. They are going to accept the exact same amount of money but in different form. Maybe by holding the coins, they can get profit. But if they are after that, they should've bought bitcoins instead and then hold it right away.

Holding the coins that they got from the payments of their customers is also quite risky since the price of bitcoin has a tendency to go down and customers might only buy using bitcoins when the price is high.
