a rather difficult question, I think first, it is to teach students about blockchain technology, while also propagating about the application of blockchain in life and opening many cryptocurrencies payment services, especially to community using cryptocurrencies in regular payment we should open many services to convert fiat money to cryptocurrencies, and the conversion method must be the easiest for users.

Actually it is very easy to get people to use bitcoin as a currency, a step that is needed is to increase the place for
spend bitcoin. Try to imagine a big marketplace like amazon, ebay, alibaba and others can accept payment with
bitcoin then automatically many people will use bitcoin as well as a currency. And so that this is realized is needed
the role of the government, if the government legalizes bitcoin, of course many merchants will accept payments with bitcoin.

The actual situation that you said is not easy to complete, agree that we only need to increase the scope of using bitcoin as a payment method in locations that attract many users, one person starts using then two and a lot of users will form a network that uses bitcoin as currency but these big companies have never intended to use bitcoin, its value is volatile and there is no fixed conversion rate. Besides, the government may have a lot of positive considerations for bitcoin but in the end, they are still not officially managing it, they are afraid that legalization will affect many different fields.

One of the fastest and growing innovations today is with the use of digital and now we have cryptocurrency that is a digital money or a money came from real world and converted into online world, now many people are using bitcoin for making investment and trading because they know the capability of the coin to give a lot of profit on them. One of the biggest controversial issue today is about accepting the use of cryptocurrency as a payment to services because we all know that the bitcoin is one of the good transaction fees today because it is easy to transfer funds and does not require too much information, and now there is a lot of people is using it and amending of supporting this kind of payment like for the banks, atm, buying groceries and other kinds of stuff. If we are looking in the future there is a chance soon we will adopt the use of e-payments.

The main reason why people don't like to use Bitcoin as a currency is volatility. Because of that they are never sure how much coins they would need to spend for some goods or services and majority of merchants don't accept Bitcoin directly but you need to exchange it to fiat in some way. Better regulation and legal protection might also help for merchants to get willing to accept Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies more.
For me the best way to use Bitcoin every day as a currency is Bitcoin debit card.

How can we get people to use bitcoin as a real currency and not just a quick way to get cash as a lot of people seem to do? When I say currency, I mean the literal definition of currency as something that is used as a medium of exchange.
Even online, there are only a few stores who are accepting it as payment.

I think people can use bitcoin as currency in case of prices rise. Not all currencies are always profitable. In the case of investment Bitcoin's market is not stable so the price always rises. Buying bitcoin as a leveraged object, but it is not great until the price increases.

I think people are already starting to use bitcoin as a currency. Technological developments in the industry, such a the Tap prepaid card. It is making it as easy to spend crypto as it is to spend fiat.

There is this exchange in our country that handles the payment of bills to a lot of platforms.

A lot of people are using it even though they do not know what Bitcoin is because of the freelancers that I know also use coins.ph but they do not know what Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies are. I am saying this because even though we are paying Bitcoin to this site, we are not really directly paying it since this exchange converts the money we are paying into fiat. Even though Bitcoin is legalized here in our country, there is only limited use of it. Without this exchange, we can't really use Bitcoin like this. From this, we can say that we can't still use cryptocurrencies as a currency nor a payment system unless more and more people use it until merchants will or might accept it as payment.

I think in order for people to use bitcoin as a real currency, we need to ensure its stability. Currently the number of people using bitcoin is not the majority. Many people invite them to invest in bitcoin they refuse. Because the value of bitcoin goes up and down, not investment is successful.

Agree. As long as the government recognizes Bitcoin as a legitimate currency for day-to-day transactions, and merchants accept it worldwide, people will be able to use Bitcoin more thoroughly. Before we can talk about using Bitcoin as a currency, we have to talk about scalability issues first. Bitcoin in its current state is terrible for daily payments. With the Lightning Network, it's hoped this will change in the future. Once instant and cheap transactions become the norm on Bitcoin, we'll be able to get people to use Bitcoin as a currency. It's up to us to ramp up our marketing/promotion efforts to increase mainstream adoption for Bitcoin. Otherwise, people will continue to use Fiat in their daily lives.

Nonetheless, it's hoped that the increasing number of merchants accepting Bitcoin will have an influence over its widespread usage as a currency. If we all work together (developers, trades, businesses, individuals) in maintaining adoption for Bitcoin worldwide, then people will have no reason to look for other options. A stronger Bitcoin makes it a viable competitor against traditional Fiat currencies of today. Just my opinion Smiley
But there are still challenges even the government recognized and legalized bitcoin as payment. Actually in my country the awareness is still low where only few merchants that are ready to accept bitcoin. Awareness is what we need and the government should focus on that. If we want to have better payment system then it is better if we will see bitcoin as currency. I do not want to convince someone to use bitcoin, I just want to encourage them to learn what it is bitcoin and its uses.

Bitcoin BTC can be a currency only if its price is stable.

Not really, it's not Bitcoin whose price should be stable but the value against services. Bitcoin price or let's say alt-coin prices flactuate against fiat but if their prices against gas fees and other such transaction fees inside the crypto market stands fixed then other volatile factors will adjust themselves.

That's a good question because there's a lot of factors involved. Such as the way people perceive Bitcoin. Those at the beginning wanted an alternate way of maintaining their wealth, then those who came after got attracted to the climb in value that it had.

I don't see how you can change the last group.

We must introduce to them the positive side of bitcoin. If they will only understand that the bitcoin will help our community to grow, they will for surely gonna accept it. Bitcoin will help our community to have faster transaction that will lead to our faster movement of the community. It will for surely gonna rise up since we have a faster transaction caused by bitcoin.
It's not enough to just sell the benefits of bitcoin to non-bitcoin users. That's like selling cookies to a thirsty man at a desert. What we could do, or pretty much the developers working on bitcoin's progress can do is to develop a much better system than what we have right now. The system that supports bitcoin right now does its job. But it could only go so far. It's only viable use is to support bitcoin as an asset. Whereas if we have a system that realises bitcoin's monetary potential, it wouldn't be hard for people to adopt it themselves. It's just going to be like the first time you were introduced to mobile banking, so to speak.

Online transactions are still the main thing if it is related to the large market that you mentioned and it has to be done because to use bitcoin as a currency or payment tool at least it can be applied first in the online-based market, we cannot directly apply it in the offline market because of adjustments it will definitely take a long time even though the government has legalized it.

Introducing someone to the only positive side of something that you want them to accept is not morally good,
That's something MLM does where they have to hide the negative side of it which is " 90%+ people are not going to make money consistently "

In my opinion, you should state the positives and negatives of using Bitcoin.

For this, it is necessary that people begin to perceive bitcoin as a currency that has much more convenient functions than regular money or digital varieties of fiat funds.
However, given the specifics of Bitcoin, only one thing becomes obvious, for most people, Bitcoin looks like a speculative investment, thanks to which you can earn.
Or as an asset with which all shadow transactions, including the purchase of drugs, go through.
That is true, most of the people see it as investment and not a currency. They think that it can be safeheaven where it can protect their wealth. I seeing bitcoin as both investment and currency. Actually I often spend my bitcoins through bills and other expenses. Awareness is still the problem why there are still who not aware on it. If we will just share on what we know about it then people will become aware to bitcoin as currency.

I can see that the discussion got diverted from the original topic. The OP was asking how to encourage Bitcoin users to treat BTC as a currency, rather than as an investment asset. First of all, the transaction fee needs to be reduced to a sustainable level, if we want BTC to be used for payment purposes. With Paypal having a minimum fee of $0.30, do you think that a lot of people would be willing to pay $3 per transaction for using Bitcoin?

Completely agree with you mate. Bitcoin cannot be used as a currency with exorbitant fees. It serves well as a store of value than anything else. Luckily, there are second-layer solutions in development with the purpose of reducing fees and increasing transaction speeds for enabling micropayments worldwide. If successful, you could expect Bitcoin to rival traditional payment processors as we know them. The main advantages of centralized payment systems are instant transactions and low fees. Once Bitcoin's Lightning Network becomes adopted massively by people in the mainstream world, it could stay in par with traditional payment processors.

But to drive mainstream adoption into Bitcoin, we need to do our part to promote it as much as possible. Talking about its benefits to other people is key towards long-term success. If we don't do anything about it, we can't expect mainstream adoption to come out of thin air. Right now, most people use Bitcoin for daily transactions on top of the Lightning Network. If we want micropayments within BTC to become viral, we should encourage other people into using the Lightning Network in the first place. Otherwise, people won't be aware that they can send instant transactions at a very low cost.

Nonetheless, as we spread the word about Bitcoin, people will become curious about how it works. Of course, governments and mainstream media have taken their part to talk about the negative aspects of the pioneer cryptocurrency. But that's where we come in as loyal supporters of the largest Blockchain in the world. As long as, devs focus on ease-of-use, people will be able to use Bitcoin as a currency more thoroughly. Just my thoughts Grin
Talking with bitcoin is not god as currency because higher fee I disagree with your ideas because only bitcoin have less payment fees with good service how faster payment using bitcoin as legal currency, just weakness of bitcoin is need time for confirmation transaction and stil illegal in many country for using bitcoin as currency payment.
