I use Bitcoin to buy gold online. It is better than any other form of payment for both the customer and the merchant.
Agree. It's very convenient to use Bitcoin online than credit/debit cards or even payment processors like PayPal or Skrill. Bitcoin is decentralized and operates 24/7, while that's not the case with Fiat. With Bitcoin's Lightning Network, you can enjoy instant transactions and ridiculously low fees. I always use Bitcoin to buy Gold at APMEX and it'd like to say that the process is quickly and easily. By paying with Bitcoin, you do not need to disclose your personally identifiable information (which is a huge advantage against PayPal or credit/debit cards). Based on my experience, Bitcoin can already be used as a currency for daily payments.
The main issue here is Bitcoin's lack of merchants and businesses accepting it as a payment method for mainstream transactions. Not to mention, most people are skeptical about it because it wildly fluctuates in price across the crypto market. While we could still do our part in helping attract as much people as possible into the pioneer cryptocurrency, we have those hard facts which are hard to ignore. Once we see stable prices on the market and more merchants accepting Bitcoin for daily payments, people will flock into Bitcoin like never before.
Some would say that bitcoin is developed to be a great investment in the incoming future or in the near future but it is not always about the investors but it is also how would they be able to make people use it. That is the reason why with the Lightning Network, we would be able to use it for payment as it is faster and more efficient. With the growing use of the internet in our lives, it is inevitable for Bitcoin to be left in the sidelines.
Exactly. It'll be hard to ignore Bitcoin in the future, as it'll be a part of our daily lives. The pioneer cryptocurrency has a proven-track record of success since its inception. With the Lightning Network and several improvements underway, you'd bet people will find Bitcoin much more attractive to use than traditional Fiat for online payments. Of course, the technology may be there but it's up to us to promote it more thoroughly. If people are not aware of Bitcoin's benefits, how could we expect them to use it as a currency? This is an effort of not only developers, but also average individuals like you and me. If we work together as a team, we could help Bitcoin reach new heights. Otherwise, it'll only be known among tech-gurus, anarchists, and libertarians alike. Considering that the recent pandemic has encouraged social distancing worldwide, I believe that it's now the time for Bitcoin to shine in the online world. Just my opinion
