Is this even a question? Airdrops are already free money, and it depends on the market price of it being listed, but that's already profit, IMO. Unless you have a conversion on the amount of money per time you have, it would be easily quantified.

Having airdrops is a way to get people involved in the project; if it's good, people will stay active.

I know that you are already profitable if you put time and effort into the project.
But that's the opposite of what most airdrop participants do. They're on a guessing game trying to get involved in the project with the hopes that they'd get significant reward afterwards when it's already set in the market. It's true that airdrops should be a way to introduce their product in the community and with some rewards on the side for the efforts exerted with participation, that should be just thought as an incentive and not something to live off. And what the participants retaliate whenever they didn't receive expected money on their heads from the airdrops, they'd curse the project because of total frustration. But you said it right that if it's a good one, most people will remain active and won't leave it as soon as it gets listed on many exchanges.

I am still one of those who do not believe in easy and quick profit, so airdrop campaigns have always been for me a means of marketing any failed cryptocurrency more than it may indicate a success characteristic of the project behind. I do not deny that there are airdrops that have been relatively successful in gaining a place for the token in the market, but it remained a very partial success that only the project team really benefited from, or some airdrops that were in the form of rewards for users of one of the services, as happened with old uniswap users.

Currently it seems that the popularity of Telegram is being exploited to obtain the largest number of users by carrying out a free distribution process without any of the conditions of efficiency, and the project itself is a meme currency. Who would have imagined that any of the meme projects would succeed? Especially if they are meme projects and started with a free airdrop campaign? This may be far from reality, and no matter how popular these currencies are and are listed on the largest exchanges, their main driver remains the hype, and nothing guarantees their continuity, whether in the medium or even shortest term.
Some talked about investing and I would never advise him to invest his own money or the effort he will make in order to hopefully profit one day from one of these projects, whether on Telegram or even here on the forum, but there is no harm in getting free coins that will not cost anything if the process takes into account privacy conditions, which is not certain at all.

I participated in the distribution of the Dogs coin and all I got does not exceed $14 (its value at the current price). I might think about getting rid of them quickly if the price drops further.

my question is actually how can you actually be profitable with airdrops? i personally have not participated in one (yet, i am very interested in doing so) so i have no idea how many tokens are given for free for each address? is it just one or two? if so, how is that profitable when a lot of projects don’t even reach $1 and it will just be luck if it reaches three digits.

i got curious because in that post i saw, many said that you can earn two to three digits (in us dollars) with airdrops so how are you profitable if you have 5 tokens from airdrops and its ath reaches just about a dollar?

Can't tell you how to be profitable with airdrops because they are all luck.

Regarding how many tokens are given to airdrop participants, it depends on total supply of particular coin/token and how much of total supply is allocated for community airdrop. For example, some project may have 100M total supply, 10% (10M) allocated for community then rough estimation would be that participants will receive hundred to few thousands tokens each.

In determining price many factors are involved, there is no telling what could be the price.

Why not give it a try? I mean it's easy to do.
i wouldn’t exactly call it easy lol

i have checked out multiple airdrops and it’s not the simple “give me your wallet and i give you the airdrops” anymore these days you need to play their games first, test their tokens and etc

i guess it’s just a little effort compared to the kind of profit you might earn but it can be a bit useless if the project ends up failing

i have seen the word airdrop here in the forum many times but recently i encountered a social media post on a major platform advertising airdrops as a profitable opportunity i realized many people now are recommending crypto related things even in mainstream platforms

I have participated in the airdrop program several times, and I have several coins in my wallet, but almost all the coins I got from the airdrop have no value. Maybe I'm one of the people who was unlucky in choosing an airdrop program. In fact, the purpose of the airdrop is only as a means of introducing newly launched or developed projects. So those who take part in this program are usually tasked with sharing stories either about the project on social media platforms or some users who perform certain tasks for the project owner so that the coin gains popularity. Maybe you can also try it yourself by participating in certain airdrop programs, where you will get some lucky coins.

The meaning of airdrop in the crypto community means giveaway. In my opinion, it is a process of giving out newly launched or developed projects to some users that participated in sharing good words about the project on either social media platforms or some users that perform specific tasks for the project owners so that the coin will gain popularity.

Back then, in the last decade, airdrops have been a god source of gaining free tokens, and the coins do normally do well in the crypto space. As a result, many users use airdrops as a means of earning money and a means of holding some coins, depending on how they believe in the project. Now, airdrops are not as legit as they used to be because scammers have found methods easier to get access to users' wallets to move some of their valuable coins they may be holding in their wallets. Yet, there are good projects that are coming through airdrops, but be cautious about the projects you participate in to avoid being scammed.

If you want to participate in airdrops, make sure you have a separate wallet for your airdrops, and once you are lucky to hit money from any of the projects, make sure you withdraw the coin from your airdrop wallet because the wallets are public and can easily get compromised.

Generally, airdrop hunting is pretty rewarding if you know how to find good projects and be cautious when connecting your wallet for any claim. Personally, my favourite niche is testnet airdrops and that's where you can easily get the "5 digit reward". Some of the recent testnet with huge airdrops are Heroes of Mavia, SatoshiVM, Polyhedra etc.

But having said that, other genuine non-testnet airdrops can be rewarding like Notcoin, ICE and Avive.

Airdrops have gone a long way but most people here didn't know yet that there is only one way to profit from the airdrops? That is you will only like their social media pages and repost one post that they feature. After that, you will just leave your crypto address and wait for it to be delivered later on.
LOL.
Where are the airdrops like the ones that are booming with just the task of liking their page and retweeting their social media after that leaving the wallet and receiving payment? Airdrops are not that easy now, you have to do tasks all the time as long as the airdrop is running.
If you do that and say it on social media X they are just using you to increase their followers.

The knowledge that we can gain on them are only related to crypto and not really a general one but we still can benefit with it to improve our making money potential here in crypto. Telegram or tapping airdrops are the new narratives here in the airdrop world. You can always research more about them if you have a time, in order to familiarize your self about them.
Airdrops now are not easy, you have to have a lot of free time to do research and also chase for a long time while the airdrop is still going on.
Every time there is a new narrative, it will be hype among the community including tap tap airdrops, but only notcoin is successful, the others are still not there.

Airdrop is profitable when you join the project on time and follow rules to participate, before you can earn the project token and airdrop is really paying if you can information on time to join the right one. Hence, they are many airdrop in system, but few succeed and also be tradable. Therefore what one needs to earn airdrop is appropriate information. Airdrop pays.

It's normal for people to fear not making any money from airdrops, because there were thousands of them where people made nothing, but it is also normal that people are hopeful about them because there were very few that made people thousands of dollars.

So in the end, some people quit it because they do not think that it will make any money at all, and some people still do it because they believe even if they do hundreds of terrible ones, eventually they may do one that will give them thousands of dollars. Both are valid, and I would understand both in their own versions, I personally belong to ones that do not apply that much, unless it's a great one I believe in, but I am also not against people who chase airdrops neither.

Usually, in airdrops, the common rewards that qualified participants will receive are only of small value. It's very rare that someone earns from airdrops of around 3 digits,
and the only thing I know is that there are people who earn from airdrops of 3 digits who have participated in uniswap airdrops before, according to the research that I found out.

Besides, no one gets rich from airdrops most of the time; it can even be the owner of the coin who gives airdrops to those who believe in the program like the one we are talking about.

Most people who profit from airdrops do lots of airdrops continuously because they don't know which airdrops will pay out and turn into money later. Most of them get profits after several months or years of doing airdrops. However, because it is easy to do, they always do it. Additionally, there may be many airdrops that don't pay out or have poor payouts. However, some airdrops have paid above $50 or even above $100, although this is very rare.
It also sometime requires us to expend capital to follow airdrop, more specifically the ones that got retroactive airdrop that requires interaction, not to mention most of airdrops right now are point based it literally incentivizes spending of bigger capital and bigger fee so the small shrimp will get nothing.
so aside from the fact that people will try whatever airdrop potential there is, they also will risk their money doing the airdrop, added with the fact that airdrop hunter are really vulnerable to getting their money stolen due to contract breach or scam project.

so in a nutshell, it just like any other ways of making money, which is risking our own money hoping there will be great benefit.

Airdrop is a way to get coins for free and practically, so it is not surprising that many crypto users take part in airdrops, but you need to know that getting coins from airdrops is not as easy as turning the palm of your hand, because not all airdrops can provide payments like that. promised, that's why everyone registers to get more airdrops, because it gives them a great opportunity to get paid from airdrops.

In my opinion, one of the best ways to get profit from airdrops is to participate in as many airdrops as possible, especially since participating in airdrops is a very easy thing to do, so you have the opportunity to get big profits later.

do you means is that you want to advertise airdrop that you participating right? I not yet tried it, but most airdrops have tracking location, IP, etc. So whether the conversion will be in accordance with airdrop, I don't know worth it or not. It's better to try first with a small budget and try on some social platform.

Airdrop was money printer when it's not overcrowded right now. those CT in twitter telling you things about airdrop that could print 5 digits money to you usually just farming engagement and just gonna give you information about the shittest airdrop there is often the overly diluted ones.

currently airdrop is at that stage where most of the project are simply not profitable anymore because dilution of rewards, after knowing that some people making 5 digits from airdrop alone, everyone went crazy and try the airdrop it dilutes the market so i'm torn and kind of pessimistic with the current state of airdrop, not to mention most of airdrops right now focusing more on staking capital. so, if right now you're still seeking for airdrop and become profitable out of it, try to get big capital to stake and see the most legit project that offers their token at TGE in exchange for your contribution through staking.
otherwise you're trying to find opportunity where it don't exist.

To make profit with airdrops you can do following

1) If you do tasks manually, there will be limit to earnings.

2) Do not chase only free airdrops, you will be competing with many in these. Instead, there are airdrops which require you to stake some money or do some transactions, these are more fruitful.

3) You can also hire some VAs to scale airdrop work. But do this only after you have mastered the basics yourself and have started earning from airdrops already.
Airdrops are mostly a waste of time for inexperienced bounty or airdrop hunters, they don't know how to maintain the requirements that bring more stakes to holders. Mostly, airdropped altcoins don't get listed on average crypto exchanges, in such cases, it is not going to be worth even a penny since there is no demand by other investors. I have to agree, to put some effort into getting more tokens or coin amounts but you never know which aidrop is going to be profitable.
It is not only the inexperienced, both the experienced and inexperienced may lose their money or miss out with airdrops, it only depends on luck at times and how the brains behind the project make it easy for you. It could be easy for some people to run their mouths about this as though it is easy or a certain approach to it, but I tell people to avoid deceit, there isn't. Many of them know what they are doing, they only need most people for relevance and social media presence, so when there is a huge marketing presence already, they might start demanding what people may not be able to meet as conditions to proceed.

At the same time, some may even be a scam or too little in reward for the money, time and energy wasted on them.  This is why I do not give in to the airdrops and I even dislike people using some styles to compel me to do their bidding, especially with my social media accounts. I feel so little of myself doing that, which has been helping me to avoid wasting my time. And if I should use a fraction for this, the airdrop that works should be about 1/1000, if not less.
