my question is actually how can you actually be profitable with airdrops? i personally have not participated in one (yet, i am very interested in doing so) so i have no idea how many tokens are given for free for each address? is it just one or two? if so, how is that profitable when a lot of projects don’t even reach $1 and it will just be luck if it reaches three digits
Yes, it can be very profitable and rewarding, and it can be a waste of time and fees that you can spend to interact with a project's platform and engage in activities within the ecosystem, bridges, swaps, minting, and so on.

There are many types of airdrops. Some you can participate in for free, requiring only that you perform some activities on your social media accounts and popular communication applications. The number of tokens you receive in the end depends on the qualifying percentage allocated for the airdrop [ which you will find in the project's documents], the number of participants, and your activities. If you want to start and learn in this field and embark on the adventure confidently, gain the necessary experience, conduct your research, and become aware of the potential scams. Do not trust any posts promoted on any major platforms.

Earnings from airdrops cannot be guaranteed, if you are lucky you can earn big if not then there will be no results, but this is still worth trying especially if there is no money to risk so there is no loss if it turns out to be empty but you will regret it if you don't try it.
It's true, not all airdrops are profitable or can give us prizes, because there are also many projects that provide airdrops but they turn out to be fraudulent projects that don't even launch any coins at all, so there is no guarantee that we will get big income from airdrops.
However, if we are diligent and follow all the existing airdrops, then I also believe we will get prizes and if we are lucky we will get thousands of dollars. As long as the airdrop is free, then just go with it, we just need to take the time to do it. However, we also need to remember that we must use a wallet that is only intended for taking part in the airdrop.
For additional income, airdrop is indeed recommended for us to take part in.

Yes, like that, airdrops depend on the luck we get, but before that you need to try first and that requires more time and effort, although airdrop income is difficult to rely on, especially for beginners who want to dive into this digital stream to get free airdrops. There needs to be a basic understanding of effective strategies for getting free tokens and all of that will definitely continue.

Bitcoin is GOD
i have seen the word airdrop here in the forum many times but recently i encountered a social media post on a major platform advertising airdrops as a profitable opportunity i realized many people now are recommending crypto related things even in mainstream platforms

anyway my question is actually how can you actually be profitable with airdrops? i personally have not participated in one (yet, i am very interested in doing so) so i have no idea how many tokens are given for free for each address? is it just one or two? if so, how is that profitable when a lot of projects don’t even reach $1 and it will just be luck if it reaches three digits

i got curious because in that post i saw, many said that you can earn two to three digits (in us dollars) with airdrops so how are you profitable if you have 5 tokens from airdrops and its ath reaches just about a dollar?
It is almost impossible to become profitable with airdrops these days as a regular user, since most of those that claim that this is possible are either lying or instead they are using hundreds of accounts to receive several airdrops and profit from such an activity in this way.

However you can try your luck and see for yourself if I am right or not, and once you do and you find out by yourself if you can succeed this way, you can decide whether you continue to pursue this particular way to earn money.

To answer your question: yes, I can profitable from airdrops. I just need to keep participating in activities. These activities are starting with retrodrops, staking drops, providerdrops, socialdrops, and many more.  And again, the number of tokens you get from the airdrop varies based on how disciplined you are in the activities that make you eligible. It's not just one or two tokens. You can get tens, thousands, or even hundreds of thousands of tokens from airdrops.

Even though if the token of project doesn't reach $1, but this can be very profitable alas you are receiving a lot of tokens. How profitable your airdrop is determining by a simple formula, which is total tokens you received x price of token at exchange site. For the last, airdrop is very profitable as long as you know how to effectively farming it.

I provide you more data. It is about how much money was already given in airdrops to all eligible participants.

Every year, billions are distributed by projects to the public through airdrops.

Most of the airdrops aren't necessarily just giving 5 tokens free for people, things has changed, the airdrop right now calculate your allocation based on your contribution most of the time and then the project itself will try to allocate certain percent of the total supply so imagine if a project has an FDV of $1 billion, if they allocate 10% for airdrop then they are allocating $100 million worth of token to the contributor or in this case airdrop hunters.

explaining from the case of layerzero airdrop that just happened recently here's the graph of allocation

the first wave of retroactive airdrops according to their article : https://info.layerzero.foundation/introducing-zro-d39df554a9b7

Quote
Retroactive Initiatives: 8.5% of ZRO supply can be claimed by eligible participants on June 20. (More on eligibility later.)

so basically 8.5% will be distributed accordingly to the individual's allocation calculated from their contribution which usually using the guide of eligibility criteria. this example can be used to roughly understand the general landscape of most airdrops these days.
so it's not some project randomly giving 5 token anymore for free, it's more of incentivizing contribution to the ecosystem and protocol by also requiring you to use capital.

Once in a thousands i say, afterall theres no harm in trying as long as the airdrop is easy to follow and need not to invest while on it. Airdrop seems a mind boggling ways here in this crypto world. A lot just seem to take advantage from the participants by making them follow in every social media they had. But airdrop is cool for in my own honest opinion.

Airdrop are just a way for a project to appreciate her community by sharing some of the token base on certain criteria. Anyone can participate and if you are lucky enough you can be rewarded and if tokens trade well you can make good money. There is no special way to partake in an airdrop, you can basically follow a project and do the task required or you follow some influencer that post about it.

Depending on the project and the developers of it on how they're going to figure it out based on the attention and investors that they're getting. Mostly, the airdrops that are given today will depend on the network too. If they're from the telegram gaming apps, I'm not sure how they're getting investors because they're all games to be played by their users, maybe from ads or sponsors and that's how they're going to distribute it to people.

so i have no idea how many tokens are given for free for each address? is it just one or two?
It varies based on their metrics. If you do something with their bridge or you just went through the free way without spending any money. It all depends on several factors or standards that the devs will set.

i got curious because in that post i saw, many said that you can earn two to three digits (in us dollars) with airdrops so how are you profitable if you have 5 tokens from airdrops and its ath reaches just about a dollar?
That happens for some airdrops but out of the many, you'll never know if the one you'd join will give you penny, peanut, hundred or nothing.

Its been extremely difficult to be profitable with airdrops recently. There is very little chance to earn a great amount without having multiple wallets. On the other hand, if you use multiple wallets then there is high chance that you will caught as a multi users. Not only that there is also no assurance that you will get a good reward at the end as all of these airdrop farming started due to speculation and no team made announcement about the airdrop criteria in advance.
The only way I have seen people benefit from this airdrop recently are those who are ready to use their time and money to look for profit from the airdrop community, like new projects that come out either on their own blockchain or under layer two, which might need people to test their service and create transactions, and at the end they will be rewarded with loyalty tokens, which I have seen some people get off with a lot of money depending on the popularity of the project.

There is no sure-fire way to be profitable with airdrops nor are the projects worth investing a lot of time for research due to the lack of significant earnings. Airdrop rewards are peanuts.

Compared to bounties, airdrops do not really require you to do any difficult or time consuming tasks. Just do as many airdrops as you can and that will maximize your profits.
About the significant income in this airdrop depends on the airdrop project being worked on.
There are many daily airdrop recommendations that I see and I join a telegram group that does discuss airdrops every day.

Out of 100 projects, maybe only about 10%-20% will pay and have a pretty decent value and among them also provide quite large rewards such as in Airdrops several tesnets that offer quite large token incentives, Airdrops in the past such as UNI, ENS, DYDX, OP, ARB and the latest ones such as ZKsync and Layerzero and many more.

And for bounties now there is less interest because the rewards are quite small but there are more tasks to do.
I worked on Airdrops and Bounties from 2016 to now, but focused more on airdropping new projects because it was more profitable.

Don't think airdrops are profitable as some people sound it to be on social media. Just take airdrop participation as one of the simple tasks that someone does to get paid with little or no money.

The major problem people have with airdrops is dreaming of being paid big money for airdrops. That's why scammers use that mentality to their advantage to promise to attract payout for airdrops. To receive such attractive pay, the airdrop hunter is supposed to send USDT to them in exchange for the promised airdrop worth in dollars.

You will have many fall to this because initially, their mind about airdrops was that it was profitable, and they could be successful through it, while the chances of that were minimal. And to send USDT to the scammer first is not a big deal since they will later be paid(all lies)

Participating in airdrops is certainly very popular method and highly beneficial if approached with right strategy of choosing high quality projects supported by credible teams offering  projects for testing during the launching of their test net. Recently LayerZero, Zksync and taiko have rewarded their participants with generous amount of tokens for participating in various activities of airdrop faring prior to launching their main net.

If the airdrop you found do not ask for money to investment or does not need to spend money and you can earn an airdrop just by doing a simple task like posting it to Facebook, twitter and tiktok or any easy task then that is profitable because you didn't spend money, the only thing you spend is your time and energy.

Take note of other airdrops that push you to connect their dapps to your wallet some of them are risky they can drain your wallet so make sure you don't have many coins in your wallet maybe around $1 is enough for transaction fees when you receive your airdrops you can transfer them right away.

I am also doing some airdrops these days like hamster kombat hoping that I can earn a good amount of tokens to hold not for selling but waiting for altcoin season next year.

First, write at the back of your mind that airdrops are luck, no one knows it all, and the one you think will deliver the huge money into your hands might disappoint you, while the ones you think will disappoint you could be the one that will deliver the actual results. If you can do some bounty work and various tasks, there is no problem, you are qualified. But you should know that free money will come with some tasks which could be annoying at times as those people are using you for marketing purposes.

However, if you are lucky and can complete all, you may smile but know that many are scams too, so be careful. Such scams will never give you what they promised while some will lure you into involving your money and still disappear with it. Just be careful. That said, the compensation through airdrops may vary, you may earn a ridiculously low amount due to the worthlessness of the token or the amount they give you, or you can be happy with the thousands of dollars depending on the project and how lucky you are. Even if it is $50, it is money if you paid nothing for it.

DYOR diligently!

The days when airdrops were very profitable, I think, were in the past when crypto projects were looking for genuine people to reward their project tokens with and using that means to create awareness for those projects.

Nowadays, out of 30 airdrops that you might get yourself into, only very few of them might be able to give something worth your time, while some might end up giving you a zero-value token, but some actually do distribute good coins.

But it's not easy to see genuine projects that reward people with good tokens. A few have been given real money in the past few weeks, but it's hard to differentiate between a real airdrop and those fake projects in search of traffic.

"5" is still low, some people might joined dozens or hundreds of airdrops to increase their luck.
Looking for few reputed ones is better than joining several airdrops. There are some that are indirect means of exposing oneself to scam and bad people. I do not think I have participated in more than 3 airdrops since 2919 that I know about bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies and all of them were successful projects. But I have heard of people that were scammed through airdrop offers. Trying to scam like sending phishing emails to someone and hoping he can become a victim and also telling people to pay VIP fee before they can receive  the airdrop coins but which is just also a scam.
