Many of the replies here are due to earning opportunities that Bitcoin can offer, while it was different for me. I first heard of Bitcoin due to my internet curiosity back around 2012-2013, due to how dark web works and I found out that Bitcoin is one of the currencies being used at that level of the web, though it was still a myth on if the layers of web below it exist. Moving on, I kept that misconception of Bitcoin being used only by criminals and I looked harshly into it not gonna lie. Until late 2017, one casual conversation with a friend brought up the "Bitcoin topic" and I was like "oh that is a primary currency used in dark web by criminals, right?" and he was like full no to me and advised me to research it more.
From that I did a research to clear up my misunderstanding about Bitcoin, and upon my first purchase of Bitcoin, I also registered here late 2017 as what you can see in my profile.
I, once again, became paranoid and ask if those "dark web users" are gonna be a thread for us Bitcoin hodlers in a thread here back in 2018. I locked the thread as it is irrelevant and it is just me being paranoid too much.

I first heard about it through my classmate and all I ever knew about it is that it is being used in online gambling since he is involved in such. He told us about bitcointalk afterwards and said that it has a potential of bringing us a lot of money in the future. We listened to him that's why after just a few years, we got ourselves into bounty campaigns and it was real, what he told us about the profit which exceeded our expectations. We're forever thankful for him as he gave us the opportunity to learn about bitcoin at a very early time. Now we're still investing in crypto and earning a lot still.
I saw first time when my best friend bought a new bike and he said I bought this bike by bitcoin ,and at that time I shoked and I started thinking what is bitcoin?And than my friend explain me about bitcoin,and after that I started taking interest in bitcoin,and now I'm also one of the person who has bitcoin,and I have earned so much money by bitcoin and i hope bitcoin will be the world top currency very soon.
Bitcoin is an important online currency, it is not equally popular in different countries of the world. However, as a Bangladeshi, I was the first to know the news as a headline news in a newspaper. I don't remember the Youtube channel but I first heard of it in there when I was looking for something to watch and I came across the Ross Ulbricht case, I was a crime fanatic back then so I always watch some insane heist stories and robberies in the history. I have heard of bitcoin there although it wasn't the focus but it was enough for me to be interested in the tool and from there, I started watching videos regarding bitcoin.
I found out about bitcoin in one of my friend's posts on Facebook where he promoted a project that was promised to be rewarded, I started to google it for more details, but my curiosity was delayed because at that time Google was blocking the word bitcoin in the search, until this moment I continue to look for who the founder of bitcoin itself is

I first heard about bitcoin from the facebook forum that I followed initially, and got acquainted with a friend who turned out to be a bitcoin investor, from there I learned to understand what bitcoin is, the advantages and disadvantages of playing bitcoin. I first heard bitcoin through my brother. I guess it was four to five years ago. He's in college while I am working. The first time I heard about bitcoin was in 2014 when an online site reported that bitcoin was a very risky investment, this actually made me curious so I looked for information about bitcoin and made me interested until the first time I bought 0.358 btc when the price 1 btc around $435.
The first time i hear about bitcoin it's from my uncle who told me to look and learn about bitcoin, so after they give me advice i try to find more information about bitcoin and after that i'm very impressed and start to know more about blockchain and here i go right now still learn everyday about bitcoin and another alts.
remembering the beginning of knowing bitcoin,,all can not be separated from the information of friends and now my friend already has a lot of experience in the crypto world and also I believe the assets he has exceed the assets of the rich people in my area if it is cashed..
