Don't give it too much thought! Posting and sharing what you have just learned will get easier with practice as long as you have the drive to learn proactively. Just make a habit of reading and fact-checking before posting to avoid spreading false information that might do more harm than good. And, of course, accept criticism and corrections from other members and learn from them.
True. Take your time in learning. Eventually, when you become more exposed to the forum and its rules, and how the forum works, you will also slowly grasp the ideas on how to be more productive in the forum and become a good influencer for newbies. Remember that there is no competition inside the forum, everyone is fair and is given equal opportunities. And the more you show willingness to learn and open to more ideas and suggestions, the more you become beneficial in the forum.

To be productive the most important step is to read the pinned thread in the following boards. Start here:
- Low quality topics do not belong here.
- Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ
- Do not post off-topic replies

What's your advised to others? Though am not the only victim here but am only the repented soul for now, please deliver me. Thank you

Maybe our steps can say that you often contribute with other members, and you can just participate in discussions with them, but the most important thing to get good and effective posting results is of course you have to understand the topics being discussed by them, and it's good that you too will learn from how other forum members post, but don't duplicate the results of what you learn from other members' posts later.

I discovered am not growing as expect in the forum and I have realizes so many things about my posts and comments, things like; repetitions, off threads, shallow contents, inability to defend your posts or comments, refused instructions, walking out my strength and best field of knowledge of bitcoin and finally trying to beat or become others.
Is this a competitive environment?
This is a forum where people from all over the world can share their perspectives on Bitcoin and cryptocurrency discussions, as well as bring any updates, clarification, and knowledge about Bitcoin and general life knowledge; thus, there is no point in comparing your growth with others; there is no expected time for a forum member to rank up or grow in this forum; some people get their merits very early, while others get it late; it all depends on the individual forum contribution.

You don't have to say all these because no one is here to monitor your forum activity because almost everyone here has one or two things to do, therefore, you did not offend anyone here so far you didn't disobey any forum rules.

Goodnight, ohh Leo!!! 🦅
You got registered barely a month ago and you feel you're you're supposed to make much more impact than these? I'm tryna get what you mean... Dude, it's never easy anywhere... I mean, I could show you the screenshot of my account when I only had 16 merits...Mhannn, my ass began to shrink. It didn't really matter to me at first but when I realized I had some restrictions to my rank, I had to push further ...
You' gotta push harder, cus YOU'LL actually fail in the process.... Don't stop!! It don't matter what you've been through anyways, it all depends on your whole effort. Secondly, be yourself, be real, be authentic... Don't try to force into people's shadow; you can never be me or anyone else in here.

Buddy chill, you might be overthinking about it too much. This is a forum for discussions and not really something of a workplace for "usefulness" or being productive. Just use the forum whenever you like it. Sometimes I just do not post at all whenever I do not feel like Bitcoin-y at the moment (yeah I made that word up, lol).

You have way more productivity waiting outside the computer if you would ask me.

For my fellow newbie, I just started a week ago and this forum was introduced by my friend here that told me there's a lot of opportunity here that I could learn. He'd introduced me the basics on how to control things and the rules in the forum. I guess that if you only aimed is to always have interactions maybe you'll feel that way. I've been learning a lot here by just exploring and reading, I have idea on crypto since my friends were teaching me even before and engaged to crypto. And every topic it enlightens me but due to my schedule I can't keep my eye on the forum for a long time. Maybe I suggest to study more about certain topics for you to have informative communication with people here in the forum.

Op to became a productive user here in our forum ha that you need to find your self and your specialize. Cause when you do that then you can start sharing your useful ideas about bitcoin. Also Op you need to remember all the time that just follow the rules and regulation here in our community in order to prevent loss or being ban. Cause there see some users that they copying other text and post it here without citing the site in order to say that he/she is a good contributor which is what they do is plagiarism and that is the biggest sin here in our community

Some people obviously look at the forum from a different perspective, so although I agree with you that this is a forum where people discuss and exchange their opinions, the other side of the story (financially motivated) still has a much greater meaning for many members. Given that we know where the OP is from and that his life is certainly not easy, I understand that the forum may mean a lot more to him than to someone else.

fair enough.

and i didn't know where he was from.. i do now and i hope things get better for him..

but i also hope that he doesn't turn into a robot here..

like i see many users have, with almost same pattern of posts..

btw op, check out the games and rounds section, u can participate in some contests for free.

I will be very honest, I see a similar thread every day here on the same board. Why not try and search for it instead of creating a new thread?
Even If you are not good enough with basic forum functionality or didn't know "search" exists, you should try a new technology in the market called ChatGPT.

Let me do it for you. Here is the question to the ChatGPT: How do I become productive on the bitcointalk.org forum?
Here is the answer from ChatGPT:

Quote
1. Before posting anything on the forum, make sure to read the rules carefully. This will help you understand what is allowed and what is not allowed on the forum.
2. Determine the reason why you want to participate in the forum. Is it to learn about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies? Or are you looking to promote a project or product? Having a clear goal will help you stay focused and productive.
3. Look for topics that interest you and participate in the discussions. Share your thoughts, opinions, and ideas, and ask questions if you have any.
4. When participating in discussions, make sure to provide value to other members. Share your knowledge, offer helpful advice, and provide solutions to problems.
5. Be respectful to other members and follow forum etiquette. Don't engage in flame wars or arguments, and avoid spamming the forum with irrelevant content.

I hope this was helpful. Good Luck!  Wink

What does a person need to understand if he has chosen the wrong strategy? Regularly opening new topics that do not carry anything new characterizes you as a shitposter, which some users will ignore while others will simply be annoyed by.
---

There is something called thread spamming, and I completely agree that it can be quite irritating for those who are active on the forum and see what is happening. Such people can not only be ignored, but also their posts/threads can be reported (the OP has 8 deleted posts so far), not to mention that some merits can be received just by accident if they do not change something in their behavior.

The OP asked, we gave our opinions and we just have to see if he will accept at least some advice and suggestions.

If I were to give you any advice I'd only give you one or maybe two; which is(are);
Op, take some time off posting, instead of you to continue posting when you know it's not resulting positively in your account just wait don't post for some time, use that time to go through other users' posts and ask yourself; what's the difference between those posts I just read and mine? What can I do to improve my posting style and make it better even if it's not perfect? Am I even contributing to the discussion I engage in?
Just take your time and ponder on those questions; and try to make amends to your posting style and another thing again, your thread creation. Creating multiple threads without engaging in them is a sign that you're only just creating those threads for merits, once you create a thread try as much as possible to engage with those that are commenting in your thread don't just create a thread and then move on to a next one make sure they know that you're interested in that topic that's why you created that thread.
This was what I did in my early days here in Bitcointalk my posting style is not the best but at least I believe I have improved more than when I started the forum and I also believe that with time and constant reading and development, you'll also improve.

Looking at your account you are already doing great here in the forum. I mean this wasn't some kind of competitive or anything so could pretty much post or share what you want here in the forum. I guess you just need to continue your journey on cryptocurrency and Bitcoin from that you can share your experience, suggestions, and tips with other members. Ranks don't really matter a lot these days unless you want to join campaigns in the future, as long as you post a lot of useful content you're going to get merits for sure.

Just be yourself and share your experience and expertise I guess, also manage your time here in the forum you don't really need to be online 24/7 if you have something to share or discover something you could post it. The important thing is you learn here in the forum and other members learn from you as well.

First of all this isn’t a workplace where you need to do the extra ordinary to get appreciated. From your nature of posts I found out your someone that creates too many posts and many I would say they are needless. But maybe you actually are of the thoughts that this could fetch you merits. Excessive post creation will only land you into an ignore list of many because it is termed spamming.

If you really want to be productive in the forum you need basic knowledge about bitcoin and cryptocurrency and none of your posts suggest you have some so I will actually advise you post less for the main time and learn. Through learn you could help others by sharing your knowledge not just by creating new thread but also by answering questions

Going by your forum username, I can't imagine your last few remarks of pleading to be a repented soul; what have you done so wrong in the past here that you're pleading for forgiveness? Or you're just mentioning it to make others provide tips on how to better in the forum.

The forum is a place where you can easily learn and reciprocate the knowledge back here with good comments. This is only achievable if you are proactive and willing to interact here and learn new things quickly. Criticism and corrections are the best methods to improve your interactions here and become a better forum user. Accept the corrections and build on your self-knowledge, it’ll help you become a better forum user here.

So, let's count: from the posts that you have at the moment, you have 76, and there are already 45 Shocked Shocked Shocked open topics! And it's only been a month and a half since the registration.
Your merits come from four people for just three topics.
What does a person need to understand if he has chosen the wrong strategy? Regularly opening new topics that do not carry anything new characterizes you as a shitposter, which some users will ignore while others will simply be annoyed by.
It is useful to advise something to someone who knows how to answer their open topics, close them in time and carry on a conversation in them. You do not belong to any of the people I have described, so all the advice is simply useless.

I see that the post you made is quite good but you are not very active on the local board, (According to Ninjastic, since you created your account, you have only made 3 posts on the local Nigerian board), I see that the members of the Nigerian board have a high sense of helping, there are even many Nigerian members here who have more than 1000 merits. Maybe you can try to be more active on there and build Nigerian local boards to become bigger and more active.
