you can only set/change ur avatar if you are a full member or above.
apart from "those are the rule" can someone give me a good reason as to why this forum has all these childish restrictions and membership levels

you must in full member rank, after that you can change your avatar in here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=avatar
Make sure u dont start spamming just to get posts to change your avatar , mods will delete spammy posts

your rank is decided by your activity.
