It is not something one achieves in a month or two but takes several months of performance results.

You can try paying for advertisement such as signaturw campaigns or facebook and twitter campaign. Your site must have something that people might get interested in otherwise you'll gonna find it difficult to compete with other gambling sites here especially those that jas been establish for a long period. You can try offering bonuses or faucets so those who want to try it can play for free that's I think one of the good strategy that other site offers

2. Add more information on your website and make it look better.
3. Advertise it.

For advertising, there are multiple possibilities. You could simply advertise it on Google, but that's not gonna work all too well, as only as a small amount of the people who see it will actually be interested in it.

You could try advertising it on here too, through signature/social media campaigns or simply start a thread and hope it goes viral.
However, if you want serious advertisers to contact you, you should really post a detailed thread about your site.

See this is my point exactly.

The "newbie" poster basically reads the title and comments which is completely irreveleant.

I think topics where the original poster is gone should automatically be locked after a certain period of time to prevent these old threads from being bumped.

Social media and signature campaigns would really be effective and these kind of marketing stuff would really be expensive but you should really put emphasis or budget allocated on this matter which i have mentioned earlier because this is the most common way on getting bettors or traffic on the site but still you would really need to have a good promotion so that it would be more effective on hooking up players.
