It is possible for the seller to work out an alternative form of payment but it is highly unlikely. Sellers probably won't do anything abnormal like that since they are very wary of scams and negative feedback.
If seller accept bitcoin it won't be risky for him because he would instantly receive the payment. It is the buyer who will have all the risk and getting scammed if he pays with bitcoin on eBay

I have found a few seller son eBay that will accept bitcoin.  The trick to finding them is to do an advance search and look into their item descriptions.  You can almost never find an eBay seller who accepts BTC on the mobile app, you need to go through the website in order to do so.  The problem is that you the buyer have no protection against bad product, etc. because of the non-reversal payment processing on BTC.

Ebay won't be big fans of Bitcoin to start with. They'll be even less sympathetic when you complain to them that you never received your item because you paid bitcoins for it. Better to use giftcards.

To Ebay, there is no difference between bitcoin and fiat. It can recover bitcoin from a user if it wishes. If you owe bitcoin to Ebay, and you refuse to pay volunteerly, Ebay can get a debt administror to chase you. If we pay the bitcoin through Ebay, it will also get our bitcoin back if the seller does not deliver the goods. It can also hold the bitcoin on seller's behalf for certain period to protect buyer.

I  saw some ebay sellers have a note in their listing saying that bitcoin is accepted.

I do not know the actual process of paying with bitcoin. You have to contact the seller directly for the actual process.

You cannot "officially" accept btc on ebay.  They search for listings containing words like "bitcoin" and "btc" and will remove them, they ONLY want you paying with paypal, becasue it guarantees they will get both the listing fee and the paypal fees.

You can try putting in "accepting b1tc0in" or "blt co1n" to try to get around their searches.

i still dont recommend to msg the seller and pay by btc. he would have say yes and give you the address and then when u sent. they can refused to send you the items. in this way, you cant even file a complain against them. ebay will just dismiss it.

Huh thanks everyone

Ebay don't deal with Bitcoin but you can contact the sellers there is they accept to be paid with Bitcoin, but i doubt because it may be a little risky for them (the trade will be out of Ebay)

Satoshi is rolling in his grave. #bitcoin
Ebay sellers have had listings removed in the past if they mentioned BTC as a payment option.

when, and what were the reason?

All the time. And the reason is obvious, ebay can't protect the buyer in cases of fraud or other situations where refund is required.
Also, offering payment option that isnt supported by the site you are using is a violation of tos.

They could easily solve these issues by holding on to funds for 30 days, and then releasing it if no issues are found. Sort of like an escrow.
