I have been a member here for many years. And have made innumerable high quality posts educating and helping my fellow bitcointalk members but I have yet to ever be noticed and recognised for my efforts. I only noticed the merit system TODAY and I can’t believe I don’t have any!

Maybe if you use a bigger size text but this time with red color, for sure that will work...

If you read this give me a merit, other way you will die tonight at midnight.

Pure social engineering mixed with sarcasm!   Cheesy

Now gimme all of your merit so I can pile it up with my Beans. lol

I really find that illegal, it was something like an exchange of Merit Tongue

What a creative signature!
I wanna encode your signature and get the meanings implied behind them.
It is a little bit distraction from the discussion because I want to make you funny in the new year.  Grin

And a little off topic, just for you to see Smiley

This is what his signature says:

Quote
This rather long paragraph consists of exactly 4,000 characters. Spaces, punctuation marks and carriage returns do count. With regard to those spaces, note that if you typically type a double-space at the end of a sentence as I do before beginning a new sentence in the same paragraph, the second space will be deleted automatically, i.e., all but the first space will be ignored. The total number of words in this paragraph is 733 and the average word length is 4.4 characters. The average number of words per sentence is 22. At the end of this paragraph is simply the alphabet starting with the letter A and ending with the letter H, in bold, to make it come out to exactly 4,000 characters and so you'll know when to stop scrolling down in order to see how big 4,000 character is if you want to add a message to the guestbook. Whew. This paragraph begins to repeat at this point, so you can stop reading now if you want to, which I would suggest, or you can choose to read it all again. It really takes my couple of minutes away from me for reading that. It was much more exciting and intriguing to read than the OP.
Though some might say that his signature might be all repeated but that's not the case Tongue

Can we do more to ban all the Indian bounty spammers.

I’m sick of reading posts which are 3-4 lines of utter drivel.

It’s obvious who they are.

Just get a mod to flag and ban every single one of those motherfuckers. Delete their threads. This forum is unreadable.

It’s not rocket surgery. You can spot them a mile away.

That's kinda racist... I'm pretty sure there are spammers from all over.

Now gimme all of your merit so I can pile it up with my Beans. lol

I salute your bitchery, sir.  I didn't think most of the spammers came from India, but you might know better since I don't visit the sections you seem to.  I don't think they're bots, either.  I think there are live, drooling idiots with limbs that move but have only brainstem activity behind the keyboards through which those shitposts were written.  It's as if The Walking Dead got fused to bitcointalk somehow.

That second part of your quoted post above made me chuckle.  That's one way to get merit from me.

Don't even know you buddy, Havent seen your name before during my stay here on bitcointalk for about a year. So how about giving us a proof that you've beenjere all the time and making some contributions that you say it's worth to be Merited.

I guess Yahoo is quite correct about thE OP:

Should thos thread be titled, hi I bought this account how do I rank up?

Well you'll soon be tagged Red if they catch your account being bought from some one else . Good Luck Buddy.

A little condolences for Merits that he didn't even saw you.

Edited:
You: Been a Member for 3years over and doesn't have any Merits
Me: Been a Member for 360 days and received 63 Merits

Just think about the differences and look unto yourself on what you always lack.

You don’t get merits from posting in the altcoins discussion section.
At least not if you speak the truth and tell people they’re Wrong.

I should get a few merits for saving anons from being FUDDED out of buying ETH back in the day. I think I managed to make hundreds of people rich.

To all the 1 year old accounts accusing me of buying his account. Fuck off lol. I was on this forum since you were a twinkle in your daddies eye. No I don’t pay attention to the merit system, I don’t come here a lot recently because the altcoins section got flooded with INDIAN SPAMMERS rendering this forum useless.

If I bought this account do you think I would bait myself out by coming on here and being like “merit wtf lol”. Bunch of girls

as I think of it having those other Ranks to get demoted then I guess we will be flooded again by numerous and countless of posts whining about being demoted.

Let it be. Those whines would start to disappear as soon as they realize it is not really helpful and they won't get their rank back for free but they will have to work hard to get it back. If they can't reach their respective ranks after the demotion, then they never really deserved it.

And some will surely cheat on their Merits again just like what happened before when Theymos implemeted that 1 Merit requirement for Jr. Members.

They can't. They can get 1 Merit by cheating and rank up to Jr. member, but what's next? Such cheaters would never even make it to Member rank-- Full member and above would only become a dream for them.

I think the original stoat (perhaps this guy) will likely be worth millions and millions of dollars by now.
I expect the real stoat did make some big bucks for some people here.
I guess posts that make people fortunes could be worthy of merit for sure but I don't think people look back in time to give merit unless you're satoshi really.

Pick another huge winner and then perhaps ...

I am the original me. What millions of dollars?

the stoat i remember was a hardcore eth fan when it was a couple of bucks if he is not a millionaire then he certainly helped make some millionaires.

I think the time has come to demote users with zero earned merits  Tongue so that we don't feel bad when we see a post like this being posted by a Sr. member who claims to have been a member for many years in the forum but doesn't even know what's going on around.

It's really very funny that a person with such a high rank cries that he can't get merit. I also do not understand why the author uses such a stupid signature.  Huh

We already have that and it started to Juniors. And as I think of it having those other Ranks to get demoted then I guess we will be flooded again by numerous and countless of posts whining about being demoted. Though its still a good thing to let us see those high ranking spammers across the whole forum.

One of the things that is important in creating quality posts, mods, admin, and other members is always effective in assessing whether to choose proper or not, in giving merit. merit system is a policy, for other members based on the qualifications of posts very useful and high insight, and quality, which is fair and reasonable. Fair and reasonable means regardless of political background, race, color, religion, origin, gender, etc. if you feel confident to do the best you can for other members and the Bitcointalk Forum.

Even if you post a quality one , when a user do not want you give a merit it is only a normal one because giving merits to someone depends in the users of this forum if they will give you or not. There are post that are that quality but some users give them the merits its because there is no definite users to give merits. And even the post you made is helpful but they do not want to give merits in your posts you cannot do anything about it.
