Welcome to these fantastic forums, where you may discover everything there is to know about bitcointalk.org. Now all you have to do is read the forum rules and guidelines.
Hi guys, i'm a new user in this forum and I just wanna know, how do I get merits on my post. Is it just by writing or are there any other task involved.
Although after we join the site, we constantly require merits, as a newcomer, your focus isn't supposed to be on where to obtain merit from your first post. I'm not sure, but we need to familiarize ourselves with the forum's workings. By publishing quality content, you can earn merit. Furthermore if you put your mind in only how to gain merits you may end up without the basic knowledge of how bitcoin/cryptocurrency works
Also if there's any other thing I need to know about this forum rules and regulations Maybe, that'd be appreciated. Thank you and happy holidays
There are numerous things you should be aware of.
1. Avoid engaging in plagiarism; if you steal from a contest or steal from the internet and post it here, your account will be permanently banned.
2: Read up on cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin to gain better knowledge about the currency so that you can respond to posts with insightful content.

First of all my dear friend welcome on this forum. Everyone is on learning stage. And if you are here and you want to learn so you can learn many things which you don't know. And you are asking that how you can get merits on your posts. There are many merited posts you can see that posts and you will learn that how they get the post.
Before Posting some points which you should keep in mind that are.
Is my post is a Quality post?
Is this post is helping others which they don't know?
Is this post is according to the forum rules?

And after posting you shouldn't think that this is a Quality post and deserve merits. Means your first priority should not the merits. Your first priority should be a Quality post.

If you are new in forum, it's strange to know about merit.

Sounds pretty much like an alt account to me. It's just a hunch I have, which I wouldn't use as evidence in a trial, but it's certainly someone who knew the forum from before in some other way.

Why are you too hasty discuss merit in the first post.
I think you don't need to create a new topic to discuss how to get merit for Newbies, all of that has been discussed by Lauda here.
When you come here one thing you should not miss, namely reading. You can find ways on how to get merit without creating this topic, after all, this kind of thing has been discussed a lot before. One of them is like the topic made by Boy_tilap and the discussion is still active there too.

Your intention must first change. Joined the forum not only for the purpose of merit. You have a lot to know and a lot to tell from this forum if your main objective is to get merit then you will not know anything from the forum but you can tell something to someone.

First of all you imagine in your mind there is no such thing as merit in this forum. Your goal is to share important information with everyone as per forum rules. And try to know the things that you don't know. There are various threads open for you to know about different topics, you can share your opinion in those threads and express your interest to know. You will always try to post constructively in the forum and not share anything irrelevant. If you can follow these things then you will see that you don't have to worry about merit. Constructive posts already qualify you.

Hallo Op, this is your first post since registering on the forum. Start reading some of the pinned threads on the main board, there you will find what you are looking for. You have to think about how to make quality posts or answer questions from other users that indicate you can contribute to the forum by helping other users.

One of the mistakes that newbies make when joining forums is being lazy to read. The forum has several rules that must be obeyed by anyone who wants to exist here, at different times you can ask questions when you feel confused about something that you don't understand properly.
I thought some of the threads @tranthidung recommended could serve as a reference for your progress while on the forum.

Getting merits is always the easiest thing here but you won't just get merits by posting, what you needs is to develop yourself to start making good quality post and contribution to the forum than just focusing on the merits earning. Your sole purpose shouldn't be focused on the merits rather you could get yourself familiarized with forum guides, also trying to read through most of these thread here there have been several people whom have asked this same questions so to avoid being ban you have to develop the mindset of reading to know when to post and not.
All the way, Welcome to the Bitcointalk.org forum a place where you meet a new families that are all ready to help you out with any form of questions concerning the latest happening around the digital system.

The first task of getting merit to your post is to create valuable unique posts that will help or solve the issue of others, participate in the community, particularly in the meta, and make contributions to the forum, particularly in the technical and beginners and help area.

Welcome to the forum! Merits are rewards for good posts, so if you want to get merits you have to make valuable contributions to current discussions. I wouldn’t worry much about merits on my first day, search for knowledge and your time here will be worth something.

Many topics allow you to read about how to rank up. This means that there are many guide topics in this forum that can lead you to answers to your questions.
Don't focus on rank and merit. In particular, my advice is for you to try to develop your potential here because everyone who is active in the forum will see and judge us, if it is valuable and useful for other people, then other people will also appreciate it.

Let's learn together for something useful for our progress and the forum.

LOL

how come if you want to get merit when this is only your first post? You have not thought about how to do the basics in the forum as rules and some prohibitions have you read all that?

@tranthidung has spelled it out for newbies just starting out in the forums.

When you have lots of posts and give lots of good and useful posts, the merit will come by itself, you don't need to think about merit coming the first time while you don't do anything, so keep working and then see your own work and let other people judge his.

See other people's suggestions it will help you.

i'm a new user in this forum and I just wanna know, how do I get merits on my post.
Is this really your main concern? You've joined Bitcointalk, the oldest and most knowledgeable Bitcoin forum on the planet. You could read and ask anything about Bitcoin, but you're worried about Merit? I think you may have joined for the wrong reasons....
We really can't help when someone introduce and teach Cryptocurrency to someone else who doesn't know crypto yet. Oh no, I am worried about merit and I would like to ask on how to earn merit  Grin. I think OP had enough answer and yet didn't reply again on how to become knowledgeable about Crypto. If I am wrong then, it could be a second account from a bounty hunter since the first thing to ask is about getting merits instead of how to make good posts.

Learning on how to make good/high quality post is needed in order for you to post good/high quality posts which many people will find it helpful especially those who are still at learning phase. Sharing knowledge or information that haven't shared on this forum would also help you receive merit. Anyway, don't focus too much on earning merit. If you do all those things then merit will come on your way without thinking too much about how to get merit. Not to make someone affected or being criticized by me but asking for merits is already kind of having a negative side which most likely won't get merited. I suggest you make research yourself and then ask here later on.

Hello and welcome to the Bitcointalk forum. Jimmycrooks, we are delighted to have you here in this wonderful forum, and we all wish you a wonderful learning and interaction experience because I am confident you are in the right place to learn so much about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general.

Hi guys, i'm a new user in this forum and I just wanna know, how do I get merits on my post. Is it just by writing or are there any other task involved.
As a new user in the forum, I believe you should focus on the forum's importance and go through the forum rules and regulations before requesting to know how to get merits; although it's not a bad idea to be hungry for merits at first, you should be calm and study the forum first.

Nonetheless, there are several ways to earn merit in this forum, which can be broadly classified as the quality of your responses and interactions in the forum.
- Making quality and educative posts
- Given correct and appropriate answers to a question asked in the forum
- Sharing useful information in the forum that helps the forum members.

There is no need to worry about merit at the moment. Merit will look for you when you do the needful in the forum. How do you do the needful? It's simple! Make quality posts that are educative and helpful to the forum members, offer helpful comments on other people's post. However, while trying to be helpful, please abstain from plagiarism as it is a serious offense in this forum that will lead to temp or perm ban. I can see you've been offered some links to forum rules and all you need to know in the previous comments. Go through those threads and read in order to familiar yourself with the forum. You'll be surprised seeing merits following you if you stick to the forum ethics.

You don't need a merit OP, this is your second post on this forum and you are already asking for merits, that's not cool, use your time to learn something on the forum, I will like to know why you come on this forum,
some newbies may make annoying questions. but if they don't know, what's wrong with a question?
indeed they are all there, and the OP only needs to search the forums. but it's perfectly natural for a newbie to ask.

OP, you've got enough answers already. I hope you can get the answer to what you want. read more information in the forum, it will give you more knowledge. then you can look for other information on this forum. it's free.
