3 months, is how much I am in this forum, usually posting my own post, very little to reply in queues. That might be an issue, but I would definitely want to post pictures, that's why newbie stat is bothering me...

If you have been postings in one style (as I can see from your post history) and it's not getting merited due to meriters not considering it useful/quality post, why don't you improve then. Improve your posting skills and you'll get the one merit required to rank up to jnr member status (plus activity) and get the privilege to post images. Also you can bypass the ranking up process and buy the copper member status, with that you can just post image

Just keep posting
He is right, you shouldn't worry getting out being a newbie instead you worry getting out of jr. member and so on as there is requirement and that is merit. If you have skills in creating good quality post then you don't have to worry getting your rank up. All you need to do is post until you reach 30 post and rank to jr. member for now, there is a thread created already about requirements needed for you to rank. Here is the thread link and i want to share it with you.

You need to get your activity up to a minimum of 30 first to get out of your Newbie status, which then you become a junior member.

Everybody knows that, and you don't have to bump old threads to clog the board just to try to scratch a few merits and activity.

I've put you on ignore for doing it, so no merits from me ever.

Haha. LOL

Epic fail. The quest to get more merits.

If you always wait for it will not raise your rank, you need to post at least 2 every day, then in this case the post will not count in raising the calculated rank is our activity, and the count is given in the activity of 2 weeks, it will raise your rank

To get out of newbie status all you have to do is keep posting quality post inorder to level up and to become a jr. Member. In posting, its not easy as what you think, be researcheable person and try to read  diffrerent topics in this forum and you will get a lot of information,, in real life we undergo some failures to test how strong and determine are we, so same here in bitcoin world, we cannot achieve our  goal easily without any trials just be yourself and dont give up if you want to become a rich person,from time to time you found out how bitcoin nice is.

As i see your activity, it is not enough to promote you to the next level. We have to post at least 30 in 4 weeks to become a jr member.

Thanks for the info! Is there anyway to bypass or skip ahead without posting 30 times?

I am looking to post an announcement thread with images but the newbie status has limited my ability?
There's no bypass on that unless you will follow below rules,

To uplift your restriction about posting thread with images, you need to become a copper member.
You need to donate below amount;
•   Copper - 0.00208333 BTC

Read here about it;

In what topics are better to participate in order to rise quickly? Huh

If I understand the rules correctly every topic has the same weight so it doesn't matter where you post as long as you follow the rules of the topic.
Black Mamba is right, the topics you are posting in has no connection on how fast you will rank. You will only have 1 post count for every post you will make on any particular topic, it doesn't matter whether your post is a spam or not.

But just a friendly reminder, always make sure that your post is not off the topic, avoid spamming and make good quality posts (not single liners as much as possible) because if you don't, it will definitely reflect to the credibility of your account resulting to a tendency of being rejected when joining signature campaigns.

If there was, the rule to make 30 posts would have become useless.

You can donate 10 or 50 bitcoin.

Interesting - I see that page hasn't been updated since April 2017 when Bitcoin was around $800-$1000 - I wonder if they have any plans to adjust that?

Here is the new rank requirement released 3 days ago

Rank   Required activity   Required merit
Brand new         0                       0
Newbie         1                             0
Jr Member         30                        0
Member         60                        10
Full Member    120                        100
Sr. Member     240                        250
Hero Member  480                        500

You can find how you get merit here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/merit-new-rank-requirements-2818350
and how you get activity:

The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

Activity is updated every hour.
