Learn the fact about gambling first.

1. Gambling isn't a way to make money quick.

2. Gambling is not a source of income, it's completely all about getting lucky.

3. You need to use some percentage of the money you make monthly or weekly on gambling, not all you have on you or in your bank account.

4. You will most times lose your money, and you will win when you don't expect it, this is why gambling isn't a reliable source of making money.

5. Get a Job first this will make it easier for you to take risks, start making money, and consider gambling with a fracture of your monthly income.

6. Choose your gambling days in a week, from Sunday to Saturday, and on the days you choose, either you win or lose, once you reach your threshold amount you should take your leave.

7. My last advice for you is to avoid chasing your loses, once you lost all the percentage you can afford to lose per your gambling days, stand up and leave, until another day.

Hello senior citizens and my fellow newbies gambler's, now I gat a straight forward question for you all.
How do I prepare myself for my first gambling experience?
What are the things I should expect as a first time gambler?
How do we react to my first gambling results be it winning or lose?
Thank you all for your helpful opinions.

Allocate a fund and promise yourself to not reach for any money outside of that gambling fund. The allocated amount should be so low that you would feel comfortable with losing it. You should also see the test games which every online casinos offer. You can test out the games first, without having to do so with real money.

You should not see gambling as a way to make an income or a get-rich-quick scheme. Otherwise you might start lying to yourself about your losses and that will lead down a dangerous path of gambling addiction.

Personally, I only bet with tiny amounts of money. I find gambling more fun that way. And I won't stress out about losing large amounts of money.

Your first gambling experience could be bad or good. If you face satisfactory results from your first experience, don't get carried away with it and keep yourself in control not to gamble continuously even when you are on a winning streak - sometimes withdrawing from the game is the best decision. But if you face bad results, don't despair and stress about it, because bad results are very normal in gambling and you should stop if you experience a losing streak. And make sure that the money you gamble with is money that you are ready to lose, because if you still feel too worried about losing that money, you shouldn't gamble in the first place.

That's right, I agree with you. In fact, I think the first gambling experience is usually good, because it tends to lead to victory, but as you said, don't let what happens make us get carried away so that we forget the real meaning of gambling and make ourselves continue gambling, of course it's not a good thing. Hopefully you can control yourself well and not be lulled by gambling because the first experience of gambling is good.

But many gamblers are trapped by this, they become addicted to gambling by continuing to gamble because they get a win during their first gamble. I agree with you, losing at gambling is a natural thing so don't think about it too much or get stressed, I don't think it should happen. Because with you gambling you should be prepared with the money you will lose in gambling. And there are people who are not ready for this, so they gamble continuously because of their misunderstanding of gambling.

First you must put yourself together to take control of your emotions while gambling and don't be overtaken by your winning neither should you be desperate to chasing profits nor eager to recover your lost stakes.
Know when to stop and don't feel too comfortable and relaxed on the gambling board and you must set-up a gambling budget to keep a reputable gambling personality with a sustainable bankroll.

Hello senior citizens and my fellow newbies gambler's, now I gat a straight forward question for you all.
How do I prepare myself for my first gambling experience?
What are the things I should expect as a first time gambler?
How do we react to my first gambling results be it winning or lose?

No need to be too complicated and maybe you already know that the first thing that all gamblers must prepare is a budget as a condition for getting involved, and another thing maybe I will slightly suggest that you must remain careful if you are already involved there because after all this is a very gambling that involves risks that can be far greater than what you imagine. So stick to very good risk management and be assertive there, and also I don't forget to remind that it's best to bring a very small budget amount in the sense that you won't feel too disappointed if it's lost.

I would not advise anyone to put too much hope in winning, because this will only make you feel too disappointed if you end up losing, on the other hand think of gambling as a place for you to fill your spare time when and bored and without bringing any seriousness to the involvement, keep your awareness and understand correctly what gambling is really about, I think this should be able to keep you safe, but if you don't do it then that's another thing.

You've shared quite a strong advice to Op, which contains most of the requirements needed for a newbie to deal with gambling. However, these tips demand experiences for Op to understand them completely. I've watched newbies who have gamblers around them gamble and still made mistakes. I think Op should get hold of the best advice here which is handling his feelings towards win or loss. Then act accordingly with self-control to how much he'd win or lose. Provided he's able to manage his bankroll for a substantial amount of time. His gambling experience will begin to grow. And his meant to have lesser reason to worry about his skills as he's not yet equipped with the right strategies. Truly, Op should expect making some mistakes, and don't rely only on what people has to say about his gambling journey.

The goal of every gambler aside winning big, for some, is not getting addicted. In addiction he should be prepared to know when to end his games, and not chase after the riches. Casinos own the money and carefully observe who to handover few of the money to as a way of advertising their business. Gradually as a gambler, one would get there, but not in a forceful means, which could lead to problem gambling on the long run for the gambler.  What op is to expects as a first-time gambler, would be same with his reactions after a win or lose. That's the primary problem of gamblers, and it has caused lots of players their time and money in gambling. The result triggers the brain like a substance, and the player if not disciplined enough would undergo a series of mistakes trying to get his funds back.

The best recommendation that I can give you is to not start gambling, especially if you've never done it before. Gambling can be addictive, time and money consuming , and it can lead you down the wrong path if you're not careful.

Anyways, most people are well aware of these disadvantages and still decide to take a chance and risk their money. If that's the case then I'll give you a few tips to help you :

1) Set a fixed budget per day/week/month based on your current income and the amount of money you can afford to lose. Whatever happens during your gambling sessions, win or lose, do not modify your budget, unless you increase your monthly fixed income.
2) Do not think of gambling as a way to increase your income. Take it as a hobby and set time limits for your gambling sessions. This way you can always make sure you are in control and you don't get addicted to it.
3) Never chase your losses. Remember, the odds are always in favor of the house so you'll lose more than you win especially in the long run. If you win any money that's great, withdraw it and spend it wisely. If you lose your money, at least you've had some fun and you lost only what you could afford to lose.

Your first experience is probably going to be quite pleasant because most casino games are fun to play at the beginning. If you're winning money, consider yourself lucky and withdraw some of your profit. If you're losing money, it's very important to know when to stop, that's why you should set a budget before starting to gamble.

before becoming a "gambler" I would suggest studying money management, mathematics, odds, events and in general the statistics behind gambling in general.
play without money (likewise you write on a piece of paper your predictions) or much better play with pennies.

ironically the first time you play probably you will win "beginner's luck" we call in Italy.
Pay attention, some games have designs specifically designed to "reward" the casual/first time player...

First you have to settle the fact that, gambling is all about the lose, most times you experience more loses than you thought and expected so make it a part of you to be ok to lose and just have fun, because that is what you are going to get from the very beginning.
Some times, you will be confronted with alot of issues, and choice to choose from either to continue to gamble or quit but my advice is that, you should gamble with an amount that you willing to lose all and still be able to gamble tomorrow just to have the fun, if you build yourself with such mindset, you will be very ok with whatever outcome that comes your way be it winning or loses because those are the two experience that are going to form your overall character while you gamble.

I am astonished that a senior citizen has no gambling involvement in life and is just beginning to experience gambling games. In any case, gambling has no age necessity. Many elderly individuals have additional opportunities to gamble because they are retired from their work and are enjoying the benefits of years of hard work.

I just want to share it again with the new gamblers that they stick to their budget. Accept that there is a tendency to lose and be content with modest winnings. Discipline and satisfaction are important elements of gambling.

first and most important thing is that you have to prepare yourself and your mind to consider gambling as a fun game without having to hope for big wins and you have to admit that gambling is not a place to make money.

this is a very important thought pattern and you must really maintain it to continue to be a healthy gambler without being tempted by anything tempting and then you must always gamble responsibly and always plan your budget within one month by taking 3%-5% of your income. you can bet within one month and use it on games that have the smallest betting amount and don't have a big risk, for example sports betting.
It's quite easy to become a beginner gambler but still be a healthy gambler as long as you really stick to the commitments you have planned and another important thing is never to be tempted by big wins because it's all just about luck.
some things you also have to think about are maintaining your emotions because this is very important when in gambling you will definitely lose more often than you win and you have to really understand this and stop immediately after losing a few times and come back again a few days later.

Start with demo account, free coins or faucet, you will know how it feels when you're lose or win. But don't expect the outcome when you gamble using demo account and real account is same because based on my experience you will win more in demo account instead of in real account.

While gambling, you need to feel whether gambling can bring happiness for you or not, if you didn't feel happy, you can stop to gamble or vice versa.

Has no one else been struck by what the OP is asking? I find the question too banal, and looking at the OP's post history I see that he has written some posts already in gambling discussion, for example:

<...>

Even with just one game selection,  there is still no assurance of the bet becoming a winning bets if that be the case,  so selecting 4 games is already a risk on your bets since your chances of losing the bet will be increased.

<...>

You should always use an amount you can afford to lose and be comfortable with at all time,  because in your entire writing,  there is no where you mention your bet amount. After all, finance is one of the most important aspects that affects gamblers when the loss happens and it has been the measure cause of depression lately.

It is not coherent to write that post and open this thread. If he wrote more frequently I would say that he is trying to build up an account with posts in the gambling section in order to be accepted into casino campaigns in the future.

How do I prepare myself for my first gambling experience?
Depends on the game you will play make sure that you know it or you have an idea of what are going to play, where are you betting and what kind of system it has, also choose the website that is listed as legitimate to make sure that you will not get into scam website and also KYC, see if the website is requiring KYC, remember you can't get your withdrawal money if you didn't pass the KYC.

What are the things I should expect as a first time gambler?
Don't expect, if you don't expect then you will not feel disappointed or hurt no matter what the result of your first gambling is, and also expect that there is a big chance that you will lose the capital you dedicated for gambling. if you win at your first gambling then congrats, don't be greedy secure the capital you have and gamble only the profit you get from your first win if there is.

How do we react to my first gambling results be it winning or lose?
How do you react? as I said don't expect, less expectation means you will not hurt from the lose and also its okay to be frustrated but don't let that got in to you just enjoy your first experience and analyse if you can take the toll of doing gambling.

I will try to answer your question slowly, especially when I first bet on gambling, my nervous pressure and blood pressure were uncontrollable. I always thought that I might win the first bet of my life but the first bet of my life I was totally disappointed and I lost. Since the stakes were very low especially the $10 stakes, I didn't feel depressed even though I lost the first stake in my life with only low-amount stakes.
Since you are new to gambling, prepare yourself mentally. You consider gambling only as a source of entertainment. Gambling should never be considered as a source of income and here you should not go overboard. If you are too greedy and you cannot control gambling then you should not enter here.

Hello senior citizens and my fellow newbies gambler's, now I gat a straight forward question for you all.
How do I prepare myself for my first gambling experience?
Know the games first. Where are you good at? If it's sports then try the sports betting option. I guess no one is better in casino games because most of them rely on the system so it's you against the house and it is not skill-based.
Poker. They are also offering live poker nowadays, you might want to check that out if you like table games like that. There's also the Esports now if you are into electronic games.

What are the things I should expect as a first time gambler?
Expect to win in casino games. As much as possible they will make it appealing to most new gamblers so they let them win. But, once you hit the first VIP rank, that's where it gets tricky. I made good money when I was a newbie although I did not haste to be a VIP rank. Don't chase the bonuses, chase the winnings.

How do we react to my first gambling results be it winning or lose?
Thank you all for your helpful opinions.
Stay calm. Don't let it get to your head. Expect the gambling to take it all back after a win. Stay composed, and change games if possible, after you win. Go somewhere where there's a high chance you could increase it and withdraw if you think it's enough. Stress will sink in when you are losing, try controlling that too.
And my final tip is to have a planned amount when you think it's time to withdraw the money. Also, have a plan on how much you can afford to lose per day, and do not go over that. Stay disciplined.
Enjoy playing.

Are you going to a casino? Just have fun, IMO it's not really that big a deal. Expect to lose whatever money you set aside to gamble with and enjoy yourself.
With all the stuff about what to right and what not to do right, I think that it's kind of weird because people are forgetting the most basic and simple thing to do in different setting and in this case it's gambling, and in the simplest of things it should be that we just have fun and enjoy the experience, there should be nothing complicated when doing that right?

not sure if you are really a Newbies in Gambling because your post history tells different story

I just felt I should bring this up here maybe it will help someone in managing expectations and the entire gambling process.

From experience, I have realised that many people run into problems when they focused so much on winning a particular bet amd when such bet fails, they easily slide into psychological crisis.  Considering that gambling is a game of probability with the chances of losing higher than that of winning, it is therefore expected we work out ways of approaching it so we can remain profitable.
Those who fall into this category pf gamblers that become deppressd if their bet goes against their expectation is because of over reliance on their ability to predict the games and making it look as if it possible to make a sure bet,  this is because many of them think that sportbet os a way of making money through it winning,  and even from your explanation os seems you the ops also have the same mindset on gambling or should I say sport betting.
Quote
One way of approach is to focus on winning certain number of bets in a series of bets. For instance, you can target to win at least 4 bets in a series of 10 bets with the odds being at least 5 odds. This way, you can lose 6 times and win 4 times yet you still remain highly profitable.
Even with just one game selection,  there is still no assurance of the bet becoming a winning bets if that be the case,  so selecting 4 games is already a risk on your bets since your chances of losing the bet will be increased.
Quote
This is my approach and through it, I don't get depress over few loses. This method works for me and I feel it will also work for others. Your opinion are highly welcomed.
You should always use an amount you can afford to lose and be comfortable with at all time,  because in your entire writing,  there is no where you mention your bet amount. After all, finance is one of the most important aspects that affects gamblers when the loss happens and it has been the measure cause of depression lately.

but considering that what you are saying is true here ,I think I will answer the first question as that is the most important part here , don't turn your self into greediness .

and if you have a greedy attitude then never gamble because you will ended being addict that's for sure.

Hello senior citizens and my fellow newbies gambler's, now I gat a straight forward question for you all.
How do I prepare myself for my first gambling experience?
What are the things I should expect as a first time gambler?
How do we react to my first gambling results be it winning or lose?

If you are gambling for first time, then let me give you some basic suggestions. Gamble with the money that you can afford to lose. Gambling is not sure money. There is equivalent risk that you might lose the money. Hence you need to be mentally prepared for that. Gambling is all about pure luck, so no strategy can really help you. All that is needed is pure good luck. Wish you all the best for your gambling career.
