Some of the items can be stolen or illegal. Be wary when you mess around with the digital goods. Always ensure that you will not be an accessory and holding the stolen money at the end of the trade.

Just think logic my friend,
If someone sell cheaper than it should be , you must re-think and make some research before try to purchase it

does anybody know how you can earn different kinds of giftcards? i have heard that there are websites that reward you with different giftcards in return for your work

There are many sites but some are also in mobile apps, but in the past i had used earnhoney, and the reward was in Amazon Gift Card, even though these are legit, you still cant sell at 95-100%

thanks, i don't want to sell these gift cards. i wanted to use them. as long as they are legit i am going to give it a try to see if it is worth the time spent on earning them.

If you can use them then this is the perfect way for you, there are also some websites to fill surveys but at the moment cant remember them, if i find i will send you.

Remember the addage "if its too good to be true then it probably is. There will be manty people who sell goods bought with stolen credit cards etc and this is just a way to launder dirty money into bitcoins. Some people also sell shared accounts to things though so that could be why they're cheap. IE you buy a premium account for $30 and then sell the log in details to $30 for $1 etc and you've made your money back. Just an example.

Music and video streaming accounts are mostly hacked. Such services know that people are going to share the accounts and some exploit that. Hack accounts with easy passwords and sell  the password to others since sharing won't shut the account down.

Many of the sellers there are either selling: RDP, Gift cards, accounts and microsoft keys.

RDPs can be easily hacked and many are sold this way. Guarantees are offered as many would reinstall the OS resulting in you unable to access it again. Guarantee means that a replacement would be offered to you if it is gone before the guarantee is finish.

Many gift cards are bought from stolen credit cards, i.e. Carding. It is easier to hide from the owner than buying Bitcoins directly. Hence, the lower pricing. Some offer guarantees too, to reduce the risk, you can ask them to take a picture of the card and the receipt.

Accounts are usually either hacked or trial accounts. Companies like spotify offer trials for one month and people make use of this to sell their accounts to others. Hacked accounts are quite prone too. Some may make use of carding methods to pay for the account.

Microsoft keys are usually obtained from MSDN. They are not meant to be sold, rather for personal uses. If they discover it, your keys would all be invalidated.

Well i just saw this post and makes me thing how is this possible 20$ for a 100$ giftcard https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/sds-1172229 I don't think that this are claimed in legal way.

It is not going to be a legal way "Replacement/warranty for egifts within 3 day of purchase date if the card INVALID"  Anytime they warn to use in a certain amount of days in that link it's 3 something is up.

Most likely they are from stolen credit cards.  They want people to place order quick to try to get items before company makes gift card invalid.  It is sad but most likely what is being done.

That make them services suspicious, and maybe it can work for 3 days but i have a feeling that you will be contact by the company or police and will get in trouble if you bought this kind of giftcards

well,

*"random" steam games are usually from humble bundle so they are cheap because of this. (and sellers breaching humble bundle TOS)
*various accounts (typically Spotify) are created with hacked CC
*half of the stuff in section is illegal, black hat or tricky

I have nothing against it, but be sure that you fully understands offers and what may be behind. not everything is so crystal clear how it looks like from first view.

I know some of them sell OEM stuff, that is not supposed to be re-sold without the product. I also bought harddrives bundled with Anti-virus software which I would never have used, because I already had AV

software installed, but I decided not to sell it, for this same reason. It just feel like a total waste, when you buy these products and you get the "included software" and you never going to use it. You pay for it, why

can you no re-sell it? Some people do not care and sell these type of digital goods for very cheap prices.  Wink

I think first of all you should research a bit about the product that you want to buy, if there are chances that it can be bought illegally then ask the seller how he gets, secondly search for reviews/vouches and decided yourself at the end.

Exactly this! If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is. So chances are you will probably end up screwed. I have bought once some Microsoft Office keys. There was a huge discount. They worked for a week and that was it.

Lesson learned. After this, I barely ever visit this section. You do increase, our chances not to get screwed if you buy from accounts with good trust rating, but these accounts are not in majority in this section.
Yes, that is the general rule of thumb for buying digital goods. However, just because you think a product is worth $XX amount of money doesn't mean that it is. Many sellers often get their goods for extremely cheap in ways that aren't really illegal, but are just not very known. Then, they can afford to sell them for $X.

I don't know if I would agree with this.  Look at accounts in digital section.   Specifically services like netflix, etc.   There is NO POSSIBLE way they are able to get at prices listed for some unknown magic cheap buying method.

A lot of the accounts for services specifically are gotten in not legal ways, in my view.   But buyers do know this when getting at those extremely low price.

I wondered that myself when I see people selling very cheap (like dirt cheap) MS Keys, Antivirus keys etc. and I came to the conclusion that they're using illegal means to acquire those and they might work for a small period of time but they will stop working when the software agencies identify them and then the money you spent on buying those is a waste, which is why I have never purchased any sort of keys or other digital goods such as AGCs because you can never know whether or not they were acquired legally and you can have repercussions if they are later found to be bought using stolen CCs etc.

Same goes for other stuff, they're selling them that cheap because they didn't bought those themselves but stole from others and it is not recommended to buy stolen items.

Many things in digital goods section are not legit per say, like all sorts of accounts and memberships, and some are aquired as freebies and then sold out later on here.

Also, there are some users that have accounts on many other forum sites, who then make sort of arbitrage by buying things there and selling them here, or just making
selling threads here and when contacted they then buy it from alternate forum for a cheaper price.
