A very strange question, if everyone knew which project was exactly a scam, you think Bitcoin would allow them to create a branch and launch generosity. With cryptocurrency, everything is very complicated, so there are no rules on how to select it. Look at the project, product, team, everything is important.

If you think you can choose a good project from fraudulent projects you are damn wrong, unless you go for old coins, things are difference today as many devs and team are not serious like the old projects team, they want only money and after few months their project become useless

When choosing a good ICO project, I first look for a good ICO ranking. Then I analyze the solution proposed by the project to solve an existing problem and also focus my attention on the project team. The project team is a very important aspect, in this period where there are many crooks who just want to get some undeserved money. Even the rewards manager is important to be known.

Choosing the project to invest in and the bounty to participate, although might be close but are two different things. As an investor, you might need to look at the team, which is also common to bounty hunters, the use case of the project and how the developments have been steady. However, a bounty hunter looks at that, but also tries to put lots of things into consideration such as:
- the bounty pool out of te total supply
- the manager
- when the rewards will be distributed
- the organization of the bounty
- scam free and of good reputation.
and any others.

the way I choose is not too special, I just follow other people, if the campaign has a large number of enthusiasts then I'm sure it's a legit project, I am not lazy to do my own research but I am tired of doing my own research and in fact, the project that I believe is not as expected

get a project that is paid for now like playing gambling, it's a matter of luck  Cheesy

before joining any project you need to research first about the background of the team & developer, the project work map and what products they offer to investors etc. it's important you don't be easily tempted by bounties that offer high rewards then easy requirements. stay alert about that.
If you find the bounty manager as a reputable one and has managed already sucessful projects, then there are high chances that this project is legit. Make a background check also with the staff of the project if they are really existing and had created significant histories in the past. Too many factors to be consider but most of them can already be fooled and copied.

~
We know that trends in cryptocurrency are always changing, and so are bounty campaigns. This year, I focus on joining signature campaigns that give BTC rewards, mostly weekly payments. This is the only thing worth it now. Of course, a trusted bounty manager is also a consideration. To be able to join in a campaign like this, it must really meet the requirements specified by the bounty manager, because it is rare, the selection is quite strict, while many register.

to be able to choose a good project then you have to be able to see the team of the project first and have to be able to see what they are developing and make sure what is developed can be one solution that can be used by many people, only with these two methods I feel is enough to find out whether the project has potential or not.

It's not a gift, it's bounty campaign! Bounty campaign is not a free job, it takes hard work. I see this is your first post in this forum, I would request you at least learn some basic things about the crypto market and about this forum rules! Read pinned topics from the Beginner & Help section!

Well, when I pick a project to support that, I look at their professionalism. It means their website interface, technical things, partners, media coverage, active community (not bots), unique vision, and of course their offering products. If everything looks okay, then I select that project to invest my money and time.

To me no matter what you are told on here, what will be will be, you can't read the team mind and soul, no one can, they can offer you all the good vital points of good projects and still exit scam on you one day, they only things one can hold unto are research and luck
A strong team does have a high chance of dedication and they are unlikely to quit the project and do an exit scam.
But if the team is composed of unknown staffs, advisors and other components, there's a high chance that they will leave it later on.

1. Yes Well-known manager, I mean at least a well-known manager already has broad insight or a good reputation in managing previous projects. but I'm not saying this is a guarantee for you before joining this project.
2. As above, a positive rating on the ICO project is also not a guarantee that the project is feasible. it's just that you can make this a reference.
3. Yes, of course, read in detail about the work map, the background of the team & developers, project partners or investors, what products they offer to the market and also the project funds that have been collected.

in my opinion, only choose projects that have real products because those who offer something big are mostly scams like projects that offer a 10% dividend are certainly scams, remember don't be interested because of bids but look at the product, team and project goals

High ICO rating now is not a guarantee because they (scam project) can buy ratings to fool investors, I didn't read the explanation in the whitepaper, I only read the important points

If you invest in new projects, or participate in their bounty. I think you need to take the risk because no one can tell if the project is scam or not. Scammer is now very smart and they do everything they can to attract investors
This is why you need to know the characteristic of every projects. I don't think the scammer is smart because there will have a hole if we know the characteristic of the project. And this forum have some guidelines to know the characteristif of every project, you can learn them and try to analyst every project that you see on bounties section.

This has been discussed several times in the forum and as a newbie don't you think you were supposed to take a stroll around the forum.

The basic principles to choose a good project and avoid fraud projects is just one; which is do your own research.

Before you do your own research, there are questions that you need to answer which will guide your knowledge about crypto currency.

1. What is your example of a good project?
2. What do you expect from a project before you term it as a good project ?
3. What features do you search in a project when doing your research?
4. Do you need the team details before project validation ?
5. Why are you investing ?
6. What is a fraud project?
7. What features do you expect in a fraudulent project?

Answer the above questions honestly, do your own research and you will get it right.
This is great and very interesting post and very informative to us beginners. I think that I will learn something from the people that will post here in this forum and I am right because I am learning now how to do cryptocurrency. I think that the first thing a beginner should do to avoid frauds and scams it to do a research first on what they want to do and how they will do it. I suggest that they should do a insight that will help them to structure the plan that they will do and create a solid plan that will earn him money. I think that you should ask yourselves for questions and answer it by the answers that they want to achieve. I think that they should create a framework too that can help them to know their plans.

most prizes and ICOs are just scams, so how do you choose the prizes you will participate in?
Did you join the gift because it was handled by a famous gift manager,
Or just because it has a high level in several ICO rankings,
Or do you really read their white paper and spend time looking for a good project.
Hopefully you can help other hunters by sharing how to choose a good project not only for prizes but also for investment.
There is no 100% way to avoid scam projects most especially if you are a bounty hunter, not even your research can safe you here but research do help, it's the only thing we have as a bounty hunter, the rest is based on luck, bounties are now gambling

For you to be able to avoid these scammers, first of all you will have to know the common type of scams that you will see in the cryptocurrency space, although that doesn’t mean the scammers won’t try different approach in the future.

The first regular type of scam you will be seeing in the cryptocurrency space is the imposter websites. Almost every big cryptocurrency site you know, if not all, has scammers that are pretending to be the original. To avoid problems like this, you have to make sure that link you’re visiting has 'https' on it, if not, then you will have to think twice about it.

Another type of scam is the fake mobile apps, this one is similar to that of imposter websites. The next one is the social media scammers; there are many of them on social media and you will see them making some cool offers that you might not be able to resist, but you have to think twice before accepting any offer. Lastly there are email scams; I believe you know about this one , so there is no need going further in it.

I always research more time before joining bounty project. I check their website, how advanced is it. Check their social media Follower, how many investors, team member and Partnership. it is very important for any project.
