Of course, always is a serious matter because it involves money. And if we are losing hope we have done something wrong that we do not know. So, in the face of my discomfort is the improvement of my knowledge.

Last week is not a good week in my trading job. I got some loss instead of profit. I just take it in a positive way by convincing myself that i can earn it soon. It makes me realize that in trading, you should not put all your money in one place for it will be too risky in the part of the investor.

I will not do it again even if i find it profitable for i could be wrong with my decision.
I am pretty sure that last week was tough for so many people, including me. It was an unexpected one and so pretty fast, so many people did not see it coming, most especially long term holder category of trading. Every type of trading comes with their own risk and that is one thing with long term holding.

Moreover, it all still balls down to the kind of coin being held, some will still come back up, while some will stay for so long before they experience boost to where they fell from. Finding a plan to benefit from the fall is what then becomes important.

The last month i lost 0,10 bitcoin with a transaction because the seller took advantage of the marketplace to get my credentials when i started to dispute the transaction, funds were into escrow, and from my mistake i clicked the link wich log me out instant, even with me logged, my big mistake is i werent using the 2fa and the seller were able to get my credentials and cashout my coins. I havent time to cry or get pissed with those, i tryed to recover but the funds were released to the seller adress when i were sleeping, lesson learned now i do avoid trade there, and if i go there i will use for sure 2fa, and avoid click any link.

So in trading how do you deal with loss? For example you've invested in an alt and now it has fallen quite hard and you're on the brink of losing all your bitcoin you invested in it.
How do you actually deal with it? Do you wait and keep on waiting in hope that it will bounce back up and return your investment or you sell and get whatever left of your investment?

before trading should understand the risks and I think, do not put it all for trading, you have to have a backup in case of unwanted things but if I suffer losses with falling prices then I will not sell it I will continue to wait because at some time the price will rise again
In the world of trading, there are likely chances that you will suffer loss in the beginning of your carrier. You need to be well prepared to face any such kind of situation. Profit and loss is the part of business. In case you suffer any kind of loss, then you need to remain firm and strong. Learn from your past mistakes and do not feel dishearten. Stay strong and start again with fresh mind so that you may be able to recover your loss.

Actually losses in crypto, especially in ICO is not to big to care about. That works if you use just one but very important rule: "DON'T PUT MORE THAN YOU CAN AFFORD TO LOOSE". Wink Wink Wink

Cool 8)To be serious, I'm hedging risks and if I start to gain loss, I put some extra money in other assets. Because 3rd law of the nature is: If something somewhere goes down, means something somewhere goes up. So the deal is to find that something at the right time)

Well you really have to experience losses for you to succeed on your trading, personally i treat losses as a good experience that i can use for my trading skill. Trading with bitcoin will surely give you higher profit but of course you still have to be more careful when you are trading. Always trade with a plan so you will surely maximize your profit.
That is true , so you will learn something good from it right?
Experience hold a key role too here in trading , the more often you do trading the more experience you will earn.
And during the proccess you will know every situation such as when you get a loss , you have to be calm down and be patient to recover it all .

I am fortunate not to experience fatal losses, I spend more time trying demo trading and understand the theory more before doing real trading. If I suffer a loss, it is still within a reasonable nominal so the burden of recovery is not too heavy and can be finished in one day.
Loss in trading is normal therefore it's necessary not to risk a big amount when you are not yet an experience trading, you made mistakes and you have to look at it as a positive thing that would help you to learn, if you feel upset that would be the end of your journey. Trading is better than gambling because there are a lot of people who were successful in trading but it's not easy as we think, they work hard to have that success.

Before dealing with a coin, you should really have to strategize and study the coin that you will be dealing with and make sure that that coin is not a shit one. Make plans for your trades and don't just go buy and sell because of the hype and fud's. Upon studying your coin, for sure you will know it's behaviors for normal dips and rise. In that case you will know also if the dip that is causing your losses is normal or not. If the dip is just normal and it has a potential to rise again, buy more coins and don't cut. But if the dip is not reasonable enough and it's causing you a big chunk of losses, better cut it as soon as possible.

Three words  Grin

HOLD  Kiss Kiss Kiss
HOLD  Kiss Kiss Kiss
HOLD  Kiss Kiss Kiss

I do hold only considering that the market may not fall further. If it continue falling than better to sell the coins and later buy at the lowest price and make some profits in between.  Like at present it is a short fall so hold is a better option.

Holding is the right pick, but here to risk is there. I understood it recently after investing into an alternative that was increasing regularly. At some point the price started falling, but I had the hope that it'll increase again. All of the sudden the coin was no more available in the exchange. By such instance we can't do anything just accept the loss.
There is absolutely no level of trading that does not have its own risk, how to manage those risk is what makes a trader good. Just like you said, as much as Altcoins were having a pretty good boom, all of a sudden, we started seeing huge reds on most of them and some even dropped so low that their ability to recover would take some months.
This is what every trader should always expect even though it does not seem like something that could happen at that moment. You know the limit to the loss you can have, set a stop loss and know either you lose this or you win this. Sometimes holding for too long, most especially some shit coins can be bad for the health of your trade.

i have to buy first alt coins and keep holding it. but few times alt coins price also going to down. but next time it had better option. so we try to invest in other coins like bit coin and eth coins and and other coins which has great demand in the present market. so then you have to keep hold it and get rich withing few months or years only. so try to invest in coins. if i get loss nothing to worry i have to give push up my self. next time i have to get better profit. so nothing to worry about this loss and success.

I agree to your statement and this kind of huge profit loss is only happening for every newbies that wants to join the trading industry immediately without a good knowledge or strategy on how they will handle their trading pace.

You need to accept that you will have losses and simply move on. If you dwell on it, it will not work out well for you!

It depends on the altcoin you buy. If the altcoin  you buy has a good team and big community behind, all you have to do is to wait and stay calm. If  the coin you buy is just because you got hyped, better sell it to cut the lose.

Sometime cut the lose is indeed needed in trading whenever we need urgent money such as for daily needs or to use it on other trades which has better possible profit. I experienced it many times, cut lose on coin A then move it on coin B to get profit so I can recover the lose on coin A. But I would not do it if I have extra money, so I will still hold the coin A and spend my extra money to invest on coin B. It is personal choice and personal strategy on trading, so every single trader has their own strategy to deal with loss.

the question is easy to answer but it is not easy to experience it, in my opinion better sell it than have to hold until the price goes up .. my experience is also there like that, when that action I take makes me regret, 1 month then coin price continues up 4 times, but behind that money from the sale of coin is very useful because there is an urgent need, its conclusion whatever actions you take believe in yourself, all will go according to the axis we can only try to change it but can not avoid it
