I found ICO's that I have joined from bounty thread so far. After that, I read their Announcement thread and visit their official website. Also, I try to read some ICO rating like tokenmarket, icorating, and crushcrypto.

I have not been able to find the right formula because all ico in my eyes have the same potential, everything is very good until I confuse to choose which one

I try to get involved after the ico is running, if the sale is very fast and above 50%, then I will be involved to invest, but if the sale is slow, any good project will not be interesting anymore.

but I do not apply to everything, because many ico that run slow but have enormous potential especially about their good products/services in public business.

I have been looking to invest into more ICO's but i'm having some trouble to find the ones that do not scam you. So my question is:
How do you guys find your ICO's and how do you know they are a scam ?

I found my ICO at here at bitcointalk.org i am joining in a signature campaign to learn and earn money.  So if you think that some of ICO was scam dont try to join or before you joining at the ICO kindly please read properly there some suggestion or some comment because im that place you notice or you can know if the ICO was scam or not.

A few red plags to me are:
* celebrity endorsements by people who clearly don't know anything about the market
* enormous hardcap
* working together with known scam websites/companies
* no working product
* no record of the team accomplishing something
* lack of transparancy/honesty
* unprofessional website/social media

I strongly agree, better avoid the ico that as you mentioned above, because it is a scam ico traits, but in my opinion the celebrity that endorse the ico its includes the seriousness of the dev to introduce their product #IMO, look at how expensive it is to endorse celebrity, it's a bit of proof that they have the seriousness to run their project by introducing their project to customers and potential investors by using celebrity

I usually search on icorating when I find a lot of hype around an ICO, but those sites are only assistant guides , you must make your research, reading whitepaper, and checking team members capability.

I actually find my ICO's to invest in here, in this forum and then I do follow ups to see if the developers are active through social media. I try to look for their white paper and see if their roadmaps are possible to have a place in the future or even after the ICO itself.

usually the first to see it in terms of the developer team, be it CEO or his advisor team. we can see it in the official website or in whitepaper or in ann thread.
from there we can see the profile of the developer team, we can find out his track record, if good then the possibility of ICO not scam, otherwise if the track record is ugly then be careful with its ICO

to find your best ICO at least you should do some analysis of the project, from checking their site in detail, their team members, and even reading the feedback that the community will give to the project.

Its very simple to find your ICO . There is a site i know that all the ICO's are listed. You can go to the site bountylord.com.When i do my own research about ICO's , ive found that site accidentally. There is also a place in this forum where all the ico's are found, its in the childboard of the Marketplace(altcoins), the one that im talking about is Bounties(altcoins) .

Steps I follow before considering any ICO to invest:

1. Check the announcement thread here and look how many Hero/Legendary members are actually supporting or against it. The forum comments itself will notify you about any red flag.

2. Check Dev Team (I always look for ICOs which are backed up by Crypto Influencers, Known Names, their LinkedIn Profiles, there experience in CRYPTO, etc.)

3. Goals - Realistic/Unrealistic

4. Check Whitepaper, blogs, medium posts (I ignore steemit posts usually as I dont find the credibility that good).

I am very careful about chosing ICOs to invest in. We see more and more scams each day unfortunately. So it's very important to be picky and careful. I check even the littlest details of the project. I read every piece about it before i put my money in it.

I think that in order to find a good ico it is necessary to look for projects with a strong team and a low hardcap

I'm very fond of certain ideas, projects, and innovations, so when people say try to create an innovative project and you can make money by creating an ICO then I start getting to know how it works. it seems like it takes a lot of team members to create an ICO right ?

I thought ico spheris is good, it was so actively promoted here in the company of signatures, but they collected just a little more than 500 eth
Hello T.Stuart,
We are working full force to make the Spheris crowdsale a success and reach past our minimum target of 2,525 ETH. We have several more weeks for our crowdsale campaign, so please stay tuned for news coming during this time!  Smiley
