I've never really had luck at all with ICO'S and to be honest, almost all of them look like a scam to me. So I generally try to avoid them. However, that's about all that's coming out these days. Everyday I get like 5 notifications of new ICO'S. 4 out of the 5 of them look super scammy. So if anyone has any tips, it would be great since I can't really find many pow coins these days.

I agree, I also feel like %99 of the ICOs are either get rich easy schemes, mere ideas or scams. I follow tokenmarket usually. The last ICO I contributed was 0x and it earned me good money tbh. Before that it was ICONOMI.

Theres a difference between a scam and a failed ICO. Sometimes the devs are really doing all they can, but the products just don't live up to the hype

I think it is all about common sense and experience. Some icos look like scam but they aren't. some look like not scam but they are. It is hard to distinguish one from another. I generally use my common sense and read their intentions with coins. If those are exaggerated I don't join.

There are a lot of sites that list ICOs, like ICO-alert.com, ICOcountdown.com etc. they only list this project but you will need time to do your own research this is very important because there are some good projects in the space but also comes with high valuation than they real worth currently

I am mostly found the ico from bitcointalk. But sometimes there are several ico that did not post the announcent here then we can find it at tokenmarket or token data. Look at the upcoming ICO. Also you can see it at ICO tracker. But when i want to get the data about the coin ICO price i go to token data. And saw the bitcoin or ethereum price when the ico running. Example : stratis, ark Neo.

It is so difficult to know the price when those token ICO

Also i got some info from Reddit.

We actually don't know exactly and with a hundred percent certainty. But just the same, you have to do your basic checking of their website and their whitepaper and then reach out to the team and ask relevant questions. This is not going to be easy. There is a high risk involved.

When i'm looking for ICOs, i'm searching in bitcointalk.org in marketplace section in bitcoin topic and in bounties subtopic under altcoin discussion in altcoin sub forum. To know whether if ICOs is scam, try to join one , if you notice that it is not updating regularly or early, it maybe a scam. A legit one will also contact and instruct you from time to time.

Checking their site, facebook, twitter, slack, etc. To check does they team have linkedin, any previous experience in the ICO area, etc.

And the a google search of the name AND the idea. Are they 1st, is any of team members involved in previous scam projects. And then you use common sense.

Check and read their whitepaper, know about their team, what's their project. These are some of simple way how to know if a ICO would be scam or not.
If you feel something strange with their team or project by hearing it from some trusted people on here (with valid proofs) you must avoid that ICO

To find the good ico you must do the important thing such as analyze the code alreadyu published by the dev, and just try to get a feedback from the community about the project. The unknown dev are mostly running the scam project.
At first finding an ICO which is most legit and worthy to invest is not that easy. Yes but doing analyzation, research, read their whole project will help you to decide on what ICO is good to invest.
