In my country I get bitcoin information from the bitcoin community here. We have groups in social media such as facebook, Twitter, whatsapp, and more. In our group we discussed all things about bitcoin-related, and we also shared knowledge about bitcoin, so all of them can know update from it. Sometimes I also look for bitcoin information from google, of course at the official bitcoin site, because every day the site always displays the latest news from bitcoin.

I access coindesk to get the most updated information. Other than that this forum also has a level of information fast and accurate. For those who are quite busy I think this forum has provided ease and also adequate information. So you do not have to access other websites and just focus on finding information in subforums.

One issue I have seen recently with some of the "crypto tweeters" though is they often just use giveaways to get more followers and clicking like on 10,000 posts. Some are OG but many are not so be careful who you believe on Twitter. Some ask for money to be part of their "group" which I think is ... well -- not cool. Cherry pick twitter people.

These forums are pretty key - if you can sort through all the crap posts that pile up sometimes Tongue

And of course some of the major online crypto publications - but they do often have agendas that you must keep on top of.

Be smart and think before you act on "news"!

I pretty much use everything. Reddit, YouTube (Crypt0, Boxmining, Ameer Rosic), Google News, bitcoin forums, etc. It's good to have diversity when it comes to attaining information from the internet, to prevent possible bias and to have diversified ideas from people.

I set up Google Alerts to send me notifications every morning about the main news regarding Bitcoin.
But I also follow some websites like CoinDesk and Cex on a daily basis (and lets not forget about bitcointalk!)

I always check coindesk for daily crypto news like the others, after that I check the threads here and the bitcoin subreddit. There's also some of my gambling friends who shares some daily crypto news with me and they help me keep up with the upcoming trends.

So I got Bitcointalk.org, of course, I also subcribed to some crypto related Youtube channels so that I can easily get the news when something new happens. That's some way to get crypto related news of mine.
Could you name some of those crypto related youtube channels that you're watching recently ?

The forum works for me more than anything because I just don't know the amount of websites I have to sign up with when they will continue to send news letters both relevant and the ones not relevant to my need but on the forum, I am sure a breaking news to be  posted and most times with the source which makes the search very easy in case I want to read more on it.

I use twitter (just search for $ + the coin, for example $btc, and you will see what people are talking about it, or follow your favorite altcoin to see the lasts updates), you can join the slack of your coins, usualy the devs posts a lot things there, and you can use some apps to see the news, I personaly like the Blockfolio, you can put there your portfolio and see the news.

I'm also using blockfolio but only to keep my portfolio and see how much other cryptocurrencies are. I didn't know that you can check for news there. Thanks. Grin

I actually stopped following the news about crypto when all the soft fork, hard fork, BIP 148, and all these SegWit dramas have occurred. You don't really need to learn all that, or at least that's what I think about the subject. You can simply learn basic things about them just so you wouldn't be so surprised of what's going to happen in the future. I also read an article entitled "How to survive the BIP 148" and it's totally for beginners. I don't have the time to read all the technical parts or read about Jihan Wu's or Craig Wright's tweets. All of those are just dramas.

Definitely this forum is one of the best source for all crypto related updates and discussion. Some media outlets like cointelegraph, coindesk, crypto-news, news.bitcoin.com etc are good source too except some paid press release they used to have.

Following crypto related twitter handlers and /r/bitcoin and /r/btc reddit category can be helpful to get instant update on any crypto related activities.
Forum is quite a big thing for bitcoin spreading of information in all form of topic. Personally I also used bitcointalk forum as my alternative to get know more news or updates about bitcoin because there are daily people who set to inform people on the updates on their campaign or the price of the bitcoin. It can also help for the part of understanding because in forum you can speculate your doubts or thoughts in fact it also allow to form a two conversation of facts and news.

I just followed cointelegraph on Facebook and even newsbtc. There they are always updated me on whats happening on cryptoworld. Also I followed several coins on twitter and there updates are on my timeline always.

I used to follow NEWSBTC, but found that they disguise sponsored items as real articles.  I got tired of weeding through them.

Coindesk, bitcointalk and cointelegraph have been my main sources of crypto news for quite some time. I also follow on Twitter the accounts of major crypto devs. This guarantees fresh news directly from the source. Oh! I almost forgot Reddit! The discussions there on cryptocurrencies can be an eye opener.
