I am also a person who has experienced many defeats and it makes me sad and upset like you. But we don't recover from that loss by getting a big win, although there will be some gamblers who can get it. But still, it will not be easy and it may cost more money to gamble.

What you say is true and is a valuable lesson for us so that we will not repeat the same mistakes and can avoid big losses. So we better try to heal that sadness, forget it, and make it a lesson for us. We will definitely feel fine the next day and no longer have to feel sad.

if you can establish that realization you won't be dwelling with such kind of mistakes and it will give you a better overview not to repeat that same mistake, you can enjoy your gambling activities without losing a lot, if you know how to manage your funds and you already have that knowledge when to quit when you already losing decent amount from your bankroll, there's always another day to play, forget about pushing your luck and trying to recover your losses.

Give time to think and rest your mind to re-create a good strategy and a clear mind when trying to play again. Best to find the entertainment and relax your brain in not to think too much.

A bad loss must serve as a warning and a lesson at the same time that we should put limitations on betting and wager only the funds that we can afford to lose. We shouldn't put too much pressure on our gameplay but rather enjoy it with a positive mind. Losing is already a part of our gambling journey but we should still be smart not to chase it. If we're experiencing a loss streak, stopping or pausing will be a good help where we could breathe and relax for a moment. As long as we know how to manage our gambling funds, we can easily get over our bad losses by moving forward and learning from the gambling mistakes that caused us losses.

However your bad loss might be the loss isnt as great as damage to your live or lungs which other past times people spend money on can do .  Just maintain a positive attitude, anything can happen in life and remember this is just a game you will sometimes win sometimes lose.  Try to avoid relying on a gamble for something certain or reliable, its all quite random often.   1 good lesson is split up your amount gambled over a week or monthly schedule, 1 night is never the best time to bet all.
After so much I have gone in my life - I think the worst thing you do in your life is too much talking and this kills you
After COvid and job loss and all the problems I experienced in my life. I have lost so many friends. It always a good idea not to share your problems with anyone - sleep - pray - eat - watch movie - go out for a walk and forget. Because you can't change your past
We all have many problems and often lose friends in various situations and conditions. But that should not make us sad because there must be a time for us to get up and go back through each day and we want to make the next days better than yesterday. And when you lose money in gambling, maybe you need to revise what you have done with introspection and try not to make the same mistakes. And you've already given an example of trying to eliminate the sadness of losing money in gambling.

It is easier to say than to do. I am also one of those people who get sad and irritated if I lose money because of gambling. It wouldn't help me and wouldn't get back my losses, but there are instances where you feel it so that you can learn from it. I always have a lesson from my big losses, so I can't do it again. We are humans, and we have emotions. Let's feel them, then move on from them since they can't help you if you feel them for a few days or weeks. As others have said, time heals, so for now, feel that sadness, but I am sure you'll wake up tomorrow and realize that you are okay.

Then after a month - I gathered myself and worked for approx 18 hours a day to overcome the loss. Today it's been three months - I am a bit stronger person by now but I have lost so many friends.
that looks a bad idea to recover your loss, Working in 18 hours is look crazy and you don't care about your health. I believe you will makes the money back, but what a point here is you will lost your friends and you will sick. If you sick and bed rest, you can't gambling and you can't back the money back. Man, you have to balance with your life, don't be too force to return your money.

actually that is Insane mate, 18 hours a day? i cannot even stand 15 hours working day because that is too tiring and why need to lose my self or health just because of my stupid mistakes from gambling?

and also Losing a friend because of some mistakes in life shows only one thing , that those people are not truly a friend ..

and also , try not to do the same mistakes again and that will change everything in life.

What's your favorite thing to do when you get a bad loss?

Speaking from experience, the worst thing you could do after tanking a huge loss is dwelling on it. Thinking about the loss over and over again could cause you to spiral uncontrollably into unhealthy practices and habits, such as gambling again in hopes of recovering the loss you took, which is not going to happen most of the time. The best thing you could do for yourself is to go out and touch some grass, meet new people, spend time with your family, and the likes. If you're not into socializing, you could divert your attention to something else, like an article, or that thing you wanted to make a hobby out of but couldn't consistently do because you're "too busy." Try these, you will see the difference.

I very much agree with this.

Dwelling on your loss won't do you any good. You can no longer change what already occurred. You just have to accept the fact that you lost and you must move forward keeping all the lessons it taught you. It will be hard to just forget and move on, most especially if it's your first loss or it's a massive loss on your part. But you can do several ways to alleviate the pain and distract yourself from repeatedly thinking about it, worrying about it, and regret about it.

You might want to try doing your hobbies or exploring new things that will make you feel better to get over from your loss. Distraction could probably work because you'll keep your mind occupied to avoid thinking negative thoughts. It is often the advice even of the professionals to get over with something you can no longer control.

I have recently experienced a bad loss. And I couldn't stop crying for almost a month - I discussed it with many friends and most of them made fun of me.
Then after a month - I gathered myself and worked for approx 18 hours a day to overcome the loss. Today it's been three months - I am a bit stronger person by now but I have lost so many friends.
When you are hit by adversity that is when you see who is your real friend and who is there just faking it, however while it is natural that you are mad for the bad loss you suffered and for how long you had to work in order to overcome those emotions, do not be mad about losing those persons as your friends because they were never your friends on the first place, if anything be happy as you no longer have those toxic people in your life anymore.

Smart is not enough, there must be skills
November 07, 2022, 03:58:13 PM
If we are talking about a really bad loss; I go out and wander around for a few hours... Especially at times like these, it is good for me to walk a little and sit on benches where no one is present. This is my therapy method and when I do this, I clear my head again and continue my life where I left off. That is the best I can do, and that is what I usually do... We live a short life. We shouldn't let things get us down. We shouldn't be hung up on bad things that happen to us. I wish everyone good luck...
That's just not enough let alone wandering around for a while and contemplating so that my mind becomes clear for me it's not enough to stay emotional there must be that's normal even I have to do more than that even days don't go back to the casino because the losses are so bad I can only forget about losing it's in a few days not a moment like that.
I have to be able to read the situation when bad things happen again so I have to understand what way to do so that it doesn't become too late.

I will advise a gambler who love to learn something new especially from their mistakes to give in to reading, developing a reading habit is am essential means to train and build oneself on gambling when we get materials that enlights more about gamblings included in the list of the curriculum we do our daily lives, it's not all about falling but refusing to learn why the fall could have been avoided, there must always be a means to help get over the experience we had with gambling it we truly want to avoid any further reoccurrence of such mistake.

I absolutely agree with you. Reading helps a person develop and learn something new all the time. Also, I would advise each gambler to have some kind of hobby, which would bring pleasure and was aimed at improving health. No matter what it will be, fishing, skiing or running, as long as the hobby helps to distract from the problems, which in today's world are so much and strengthen the psycho-emotional health of man.
Gambling losses arent the only ones or a thing that we could experienced up possible frustrations and anger which there are even certain normal scenarios or situations which could really give out that
kind of impact which could lead into that frustration or rage which will really make even more possible mistakes or wrong step forward in towards your actions.
Getting over a bad loss might sound really that simple but there are people who are really that too impulsive when it comes to these things which
they do make the situation even more worst.Distracting that anger or stress should really be redirected into those hobbies that we could possibly deal off or able to do so.

Frankly speaking, I'd prefer thinking about how to avoid big/bad loss than thinking about favorite thing to do when I'm in a bad loss. Preventing is always better, isn't it? However, in case I'm in a bad loss, it is obvious that I did not play as what I should (beyond my own limit). If this thing happened to me, I'll do nothing except accept it and forget about it by doing some positive activities such as sports (I do like to go to gym and fishing) and stay away from gambling for a while to reduce the greed of loss recovery.

Reflection of things done that leads to bad losses is really a good traits of people who wanted to be in control of their game.  Reflection made us realize our faults and errors and enable us to create a counter strategy to avoid the same mistakes again.  Many successful people often do this stuff since that take everything seriously when it comes to winning or being successful in their venture no matter what kind it is.

Taking a break after a bad loss, and find something that makes you happy in life is a good way. I usually stop gambling when I have a bad loss, and start reading some books or playing some computer games. That means I would be able to just focus on something much better, which will make me happy.

Same here I always take a break after a bad loss to shrug out the unlucky stuff.  I also accept the loss and move on skipping some weeks to at least replenish my bankroll and have a fresh start.

Accepting the losses even in a hard way without doing anything is really a tough thing to do but nothing choice we have.

It's either, stopping gambling to prevent that worst experience to happened again or just being fully prepared mentally and coming back again to gambling after a big loss.

As a gambler for a long, these gamblers should know how to deal with that losing experience.

When I am reading a book it makes me imagine being in that world and takes me away from the world that I lost in gambling, I am not the guy who lost money on gambling I am the guy going to mars to colonize it. Or playing computer games is the same, I am no longer gambling loser, I am Arthur trying to help the wild west get a bit better with my good deeds and helping people in need.

What's your favorite thing to do when you get a bad loss?

I kinda like to get out and doing something to get some happiness going again after a big loss. It could be as simple as going for a walk to get some fresh air or as far as booking a nice holiday as something to look forward to in the future. However I've gotten to the point where it is rare to wager a large amount because the returns are rarely worth the chance of losing it all. I might even divert money towards some other hobby, even buying company stocks after doing some research - to know that at least the next batch of money went into something more productive and less likely to lose everything, with a good chance of going up in value and paying back extra over time.
