Well, I have a saying when I play gambling, or, let's say, a mindset: "Profit is a profit; it doesn't matter how big or small it is as long as I win, not lose." This phrase serves as my limiter or boundary when I gamble. why? so that I don't feel what you feel, like having regret for not raising your stake or blaming yourself for not putting in a much higher amount, because it could be greed, you never get contented, and the result could be bad, like betting more and increasing the amount, then suddenly you lose, then you lose more than what you get from winning. In short, don't be greedy, be happy. What you earn is a win no matter what amount it is as long as you don't lose any money, period.
Indeed, profit is profit. As long as we don't lose, we have won. But what often happens is that we experience loss first before winning. If we compare the number of losses with wins, the number of losses will be greater than the number of wins. And that's what makes gamblers continue to gamble because they want to win more. But it won't be easy because they will only experience loss after the next round without experiencing a single win. But if they can feel satisfied with what they have and are not chasing bigger wins, they have had enough gambling and should be able to stop as soon as possible. If they decide to bet more, they may not win but will only lose more. And then, they might increase their bet without thinking they have been gambling long enough. If they couldn't overcome their greed, they would only suffer another loss, making it difficult to recover from their losses.

In my opinion, what happened to OP is normal and almost all gamblers feel it. There must be a feeling of annoyance and disappointment when we hesitate to raise a bet that ultimately wins, and that is one of the characteristics of gambling and when we repeat it the results are different and we get big losses that should not have happened and only because of curiosity.
It's best to just forget about the incident because if you keep remembering it you will feel like repeating it, which will actually make you lose more often. And bet as you usually bet and with the capital you have budgeted and always be grateful for the wins you get, even though they are not big. Because if you get used to it and master your habits, your chances of winning will be greater than if you change your betting habits just because curiosity will make you regret it if it doesn't match your expectations.

Again why do you regret after putting smaller amounts and it happens the games went as planned and starts blaming yourself for not increasing your bet amount, maybe by now you could have cashed out big time. How do you control this thought over your ends do you keep to your regulations of always placing bets with some limits or you place bet according to your mind and regrets after losing that amount for not following your limits?

It's all about reminding yourself that even the best bets on paper can still lose once the match starts. I sometimes have the same regret when I have a smaller stake in an obvious pick, but I would just be thankful it won because you still can't count out the possibility of the bet losing. Once you go through a long streak of losses, you'll realize the importance of keeping yourself in check and understand that it's better to accumulate your winnings through small stakes. Instead of wanting to win more, you should view it differently and strive to prolong your bankroll.

Alot of strategies for that question have been suggested several times already ...The search engines would do alot of good . Buh, I feel it's really about how Much prepared an individual is, to guide himself strictly, not surpassing the stake limits no matter how good 'em speculations would be.

Perhaps, like in trading, people who bet should not look for a single high yield opportunity in order to make much money, but rather go safe and wisely have a plan not only to analyze the odds of the matches and the history of teams which could be facing each other on the stadiums, but also on setting a high limit on the money they can risk in a single game.

It kind of reminds me an occasion when someone around here went all in for Argentina in one of the early matches during the World Cup, and ended up losing. It was a lesson to remember the rest of his life.

range betting is the reason why you're going overboard. You're setting these arbitrary limits that you can easily break (which you are definitely doing by the way) and this causes you to strip yourself of the discipline that betting on a fixed bankroll would do. I suggest that you only bet on a limited bankroll instead of setting a betting range. This ensures that whatever happens you're only going to have money this much to burn for gambling, anymore and it would mean you're going to kill your budget, which if it does happen is a clear indication as well that you're already at the verge of gambling addiction. I've bet using a fixed bankroll ever since I realized I'm spiraling out of control and so far it has never failed me. It even helped me budget so much that my bankroll lasts a few days to a week without ever getting refilled.

This now made me to come here to asked how do you control your greed with your bet amount, do you go ahead placing the bet as your minds speaks or do only maintain to your limits whether it plays or not doesn't matter.
One of the basic rules in gambling is to never gamble more than you can afford to lose and to always stick with your initial plan before the gambling session started. You can't change your rules on the middle of the session. That is how you avoid greed taking control of your mind and your game.

Again why do you regret after putting smaller amounts and it happens the games went as planned and starts blaming yourself for not increasing your bet amount, maybe by now you could have cashed out big time.
It's normal to regret for not placing a high bet when things go smoothly, but keep in mind you didn't have the information the bet was going to be successful before placing it, so how could you risk so much money without any guarantees? It means you did the right thing and shouldn't feel bad in anyways for gambling responsively. Just forget about it and have the conscience it's part of the game.

Edit: I think at some point, people should get know what works for them and stick to it.. every knows how hard it is to make a 100bucks, and equally how easy it is to spend it.

By being a low budget gambler unless if you are a big whale in the gambling casinos that lead you to bet above other gamblers bets. Greed is nothing but a negative emotion that will only put your funds at high risk when you let yourself influenced on it. So if you want to control your greed, stay betting on a minimal amount so that whether it's a win or loss, your finances will never be completely affected.

People are all greedy most especially when it comes to profits. But we also know that greed would never us lead into right decision making. Instead of sticking to our budget limit when it comes to betting, this greed will push us to bet more because of high expectations to achieve profits. And since gambling will always favor its house more than us, then what we can expect than to end up with losses and bring profits to the house again. That's why we should never cross against our daily or weekly budget for gambling, otherwise it is only us who will suffer huge losses.

First we need to know about gambling addiction. And be well aware of the harmful aspects of gambling addiction. And if you are not addicted to gambling then you can restrain your greed from placing big bets.

I think when you have a lot of money, there is no harm in taking big bets. But when your income is fixed. And if you have to live within a certain income, then you should definitely avoid big bets. Gambling is not bad unless you are addicted to it. And if you are not addicted then it will not be difficult for you to avoid big bets.

I gamble only for peace of mind. I did not choose this as a profession. I gamble in my free time and I don't spend much money on it. I should never take gambling too seriously. Taking it seriously only increases the tendency to play big bets.

Whenever you have regrets for not betting with a big amount, know that that is greed hiding behind the regrets. Be happy with what you win, and be happy that you won it responsibly betting with an amount of money that you can loose. When you think that you could have won a big money if you had increased your bets, remember that it also can be the other way, and you may have too lost money that you know that the loss will be difficult to adjust to, and you would have lost the money because of greed of not gambling with a moderate amount because you want to win more.

Managing greed when gambling is simple. Just assume that you’re going to lose and think about the added enjoyment from playing. If losing that bet seems like it will suck more happiness from your life than winning would add joy, then you’re probably gambling for the wrong reasons and would be better suited pumping quarters into an arcade game.

To mange the greedy in the betting, you should get the mindset of control your emotion in the betting. The handling emotion in the game that involve of the money is the hardest task. The gambler should analysis and accept to get the loss in the following game. Then the gambler loss means,it won’t affect the gambler in any point. But if the gambler win the match means, this will give additional happiness to the gamblers. The gambler also learn to control of depositing money to the gambling site after continuous game.

The main thing to manage or reduce the intensity of your addiction to gambling is to not always think that you will win. Rest assured it is the best way to manage greed because if you think you will win the bet on the next round after you lose, then it will only increase your losing percentage instead of winning.

I know this may be difficult compared to what I am saying, but when you start practicing it consistently and only betting when you are in a good mood, then you may be able to make the right decisions.

Every gambler used to loss control at some point. This can be due to greed, hope of recovering what have been lost earlier and for different other reasons. People easily gets tempted and holding funds beyond the limit should be avoided. One should move the amount with which one have decided to gamble in the particular platform. This could help people stop wagering when the allocated fund gets vanished. Some platforms even have the vault feature where funds can be kept securely and used on need.

As said by one of the user, using multibet is a way. We can try our luck with small amounts for bigger payout. Not everyone wins, but it makes gambling more enjoyable than just getting addicted and losing big money.

Set a limitation right from your deposit. If you have limited funds deposited in your account or to the gambling platform, you’d be pushed not to bet that much ‘coz you will have to deposit again; some sort of a lazy but good strategy in gambling. Think of it; if you have deposited huge amount of money then you’d be more likely to be tempted to bet as much as possible. There are just times wherein we do feel a winning bet or game but since it is gambling we are talking about, it should be enough to tell you not to push your luck that much. Nothing’s assured. There’s no easy way to get rich. Once you master this mindsets, you’d atleast lessen the greed and risk-taking attitude whenever you are betting.

Gambling is played with experience & patience not emotions. And greed is the worst of them. No matter the circumstance, you shouldn't allow yourself be tempted with greed.

I try to bet what I can efford to loss. Not less not more. That's how everyone should do it. Of course, if you did bet more you could have won more. But just think about the risk & frustration you'll get, if by chance you loss. Gambling is not just a game, it's a mental challenge with yourself. You have to bear that in mind.

Gambling greed is like on the edge of a cliff, seeing people around you get a lot of money gambling is just a temporary formality. Maybe the previous trip could result in losing a lot of money until one day the money comes back again. Most gambling players rarely talk about the process of gambling, but mostly just talk about their big wins. rarely talk about defeats and losses of any kind, because shame covers it with a perfect essay. When playing gambling, you have to relax and enjoy it with management allocating money specifically for gambling, so that you don't get carried away by ambition

In my case, I follow my own discipline and do not deviate from it in any way. This is because the moment I deviate from my discipline then I will start making random bets without much sense and without any strategy and when that happens the person will start to put a lot of money in one bet, then in another bet they will put little money, then in another bet, he will put the remaining money on the balance, meaning the person loses control. Even when talking about playing in moderation or playing for fun, in both situations people need to manage their bankroll to avoid losing everything early and having to put money back in to continue playing.

for example in my case, if I put 10$ and I know that each week I will only bet on 5 games, then I will put 2$ on each game and in case I get it right in any game I will keep the same amount of money on each bet , if I manage to double the $10 I deposited, then the following week I will increase the amount of money on each of the 5 bets. If I lose the entire 10$ deposit then I wait until the following week and put back 10$ and do the same thing of placing 2$ on each bet. It's important for me to always follow this rule. I also have a certain odd value that I choose

Sometimes I also make multibet bets with many games to try my luck, but I don't put a lot of money, I keep the same amount of money I put in each simple bet, so I don't get sidetracked and get greedy and lose my mind thinking that when I place more money then I'll make more money, that's a mistake I don't want to make. So op, create your strategy and bankroll management, even playing for fun, you need to have some strategy to at least have some wins and extend the account balance to play for more days or weeks and not have to make another deposit again early

For much long now I have never place bet with a higher amount but there was a bet i placed few days ago and i was tempted to increase my wager from what it should be before, Let say i often gamble with at least 200 Naira and maximum is 2,000 for a multiple bets But recently something came into me to start increasing my wager above my limits due to a game that was predicts to me it gives me all possibilities that I could cash out big time. This now made me to come here to asked how do you control your greed with your bet amount, do you go ahead placing the bet as your minds speaks or do only maintain to your limits whether it plays or not doesn't matter.
I don't know the reason why you trusted the game that was given to you. Why are you so certain that you are going to win? And I want to know if you have ever won with these predictions. Sometimes it is good to listen to your intuition or mind but it shouldn't be above what you can afford to lose. It is better to stick to our gambling plan and be content with your wins. Greed is one of the major causes of gambling addiction, therefore, there is a need to follow our gambling budget.

Lets discuss wisely and if something related to this post please point it out.. Maybe would devote studying to study what has been written over there.
It is normal to regret when you would have won big if you staked a higher some but we have to note that you can also lose the game. It is better to be contended with what you win at any given time to avoid over-gambling. Having the consciousness that you can either lose or win in gambling will help you to forget about the past and keep moving.
