Well, everything helps no matter it is knowledge from YouTube videos or any information from news articles etc. However, just make sure the sources are reliable. The more information OP is able to gather, the better understanding he can develop. It's just how much committed the op is to get the first hand knowledge.

Even I would say that he can browse through the gambling section on this forum and gain a very nice understanding.

There are lots of information on Youtube that is not reliable and is always created with exaggeration and lies just to bait people into watching their videos.
