I know ico review sites but they do not contain all of the icos. Some of low profile icos made huge success. I never knew they exist till their ico ends in minutes. Where to find those icos?
I think it is the easy way to track the ICOs first you have to read the whitepaper and then check the telegram.

I don't have to choose between all existing ICO projects. My friend keeps a table, which selects one of the best ICO. I choose from that table.

I think the easiest way to track the new ICO is to subscribe to the channels of the telegram Smiley

I have prefered ICOBench - because it is possibility to review who have assessed this ICO and who qualified this person. Also you can revie all ICOs marked by expert whom you trust..

the question is whether there is still money to be made in ICOs
I think there is money to be made in ICOs. The more regluation that occurs will eliminate a lot of scams and make it easier to weed through the crap to find strong options. There is no doubt going to be high risk involved, but with that comes potentially high reward.

It's always good to see those ICOs that are upcoming and of course active if you have an ICO tracker. I am actually using foundico.com but not all ICOs that are rated high will likely to succeed.

ICOs can be tracked on bitcointalk. You can also follow through other investors who have participated in such an ICO who could offer useful information.

I usually track the ICOs by checking their whitepaper so that I would know what their project is all about basically if the project is unique and will more likely be a success I usually join them. Another one is by checking their telegrams, you are responsible to be updated so that you will not miss anything about the ICO itself.

Reddit is a good option indeed, but I also think that following an ICO on medium and even its TG announcement channel is a good way of receiving information.

I add ethereum place holders in my delta portfolio. And I just acknowledge that I can not follow or assess my investment completely for the time between investing and receiving the (traceable) tokens. After receiving the tokens, I join their announcement channels on TG, that's most likely sufficient.
