How do you Up your Merit? i have 23 post and none, some have 3 post and 4 merit? wtf?

The number of posts is not the key factor that determines the number of merits you will earn in the forum.

I just checked your post history; your posts are not even up to one line, and they don't carry informative words, and the are also in a section most people here don't visit. That is why you don't have merit, because it seems you have your target of joining this forum, which is why you are doing what you are doing, which is fine if you are certified because that's what we are always after in this forum.

However, read this thread; it will guide you on how to go about this forum, and some of this information you may need will be answered in the thread.

I can see that you’ve been in the forum for a long while now and are still struggling to earn merit; however, the fact is that you put merit in your front. You are not really here to learn; rather, you are chasing merit to rank up, which is why you still find it difficult to earn merit.

Your posts need to be worth merit before they merit you need to be a quality poster; furthermore, the board in which you are active and. Posting the forum members is not much active there; you need to visit boards like Beginners and help the bitcoin discussion board. Make quality content, and you will have people who will merit you.

Now you rest as you have 1 merit.  Grin
You registered in the forum since last year February and you have been actively posting in the Collectibles board since then. However what I observed about that section is that lot of people aren't interested in posting there mostly merits sources). If you want more merits, you need to post more on the general boards and your local board (LB). Not just posting, you have to contribute to the forum by sharing vitals informations and being constructive.

Many of your posts are one-liners in the Collectibles board. You limit yourself to only be visible to people who visit that part of the forum. If you want merits, you will have to put in some more effort. Write quality posts where it matters and take part in genuine discussions. Check the profile of any user on the forum who earns merits, go to their merits page, and have a quick look at what they get merited for. You can then compare their activity to yours to see what they are doing and what you are not. Obviously, you should be yourself and not copy and try to replicate others, but it will give you some ideas.

Merits are not given based on the number of posts members make, but rather on the quality of the posts. So, if you are all after merits, I would say you should start contributing meaningful information to this forum. And you will see that merits will start coming to your account. However, the truth is that you can't achieve that without having some level of knowledge about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general because without that no much valuable things you may be contributing to attract merits.

From your account information, I know that you are not entirely new to the forum anymore because you registered on this forum in February, and it’s getting close to a year now. Therefore, I don’t expect someone like you to be complaining about merits, as you should know by now that you are not doing what deserves merits.in fact, from your post history, I would say you don’t pay attention to the forum, which is why you are finding everything hard.

I think OP only asked an innocent question just like every other curious newbie. OP, the board you visit often which is the collectible may not get you what you are asking about since your posts are mostly single line so you have to be very active in relevant and major boards that merit sources do frequent, they can find your posts worthy of meriting and send to you. However, merit should not be your target for now, put effort in making quality posts and merits you asked about will flow.

You can’t up your merits by the number of posts but you can up it by your quality posts. You don’t need to post much to get merited. A user with less quality post may have to post up to 100 or more before they get merited because only one of those post maybe be worth meriting while another user with just few posts can get as much merit than you can’t imagine, so have a rethink of how you view the merit system because it doesn’t work that way. You should focus more on building yourself to be better in the forum with quality posts and not get disturbed about merits, they will come once your quality post is worthy of them.
Newbies seem to mistake high volume posts for earning merits, not knowing that merit is given based on the quality of the content and not the quantity, I think any Newbie who can look closely and monitor others in the forum and how the quality of posts with the most merits are generated, with time and dedication, ops will start seeking some merit being shared with him by other members who want to appreciate his quality contributions to forums discussion.

Best for ops to just look away from merits hunting because that is the fastest way to become depressed from the inability to generate his expected merits due to his posts failing under merit-able posts.

looking at your post history, you mostly post on collectibles, while there are people there who give merits on that board, they are not many and most of them usually give those they transact with(at least I think so). if you want merit I'd suggest visiting other boards and joining more discussions.

What’s the purpose of you joining the forum? Did you join because you want to be making positive contributions to the forum, or do you join because you want to be receiving merit after posting? If you make more than 23 posts, you might not still receive merit, if you take your time to check the forum, you will see accounts that have made so many posts and haven’t received any merit. You should know that it’s not about how many posts which you have don, you might just write a comment and will receive so many merits. What people are after is quality posts, and not numbers of posts.

I notice that you have received a merit, after so many posts, finally you have been merited, but my question is that, what are you going to be doing with the one merit that you received? I'm sure you joined the forum just to rank up and make money, but from the look of things, you are finding it difficult to rank up, and if you don’t change your mindset, then you won’t be able to rank up, because merit is not gotten the way you think.

How do you Up your Merit? i have 23 post and none, some have 3 post and 4 merit? wtf?
First thing first, do you understand what merit is and how/why they are given to a post? If you have not understood this, that is the firstbthing to learn and when you understand that , the answer to your concerns would have been provided. Merits does not depend on how many posts you make but on the quality of the post. In other words, one good post can earn you many merits far more than hundreds of bad quality posts. But try to resist the temptation of using AI to make post thinking that is how to make quality post. Be original, read and learn so you will be able to follow discussions and contribute meaningfully.

Number of posts does not matter for getting merit. to get merit you must have knowledge. Posts should be made in a place and manner that will benefit others or be liked by a merit source or someone who has smerit. Then they can give you merit. But if you don't know how to post well then you won't get merit even if you post thousand.

It is a decentralized forum where you can easily track who is giving merit to whom on which post and can get ideas from them on what you need to do to get merit.

One can never say which post he will get guaranteed merit.  Here everyone starts discussion, help, research on various topics and gets merit in that.

You are helpful for other people when they ask something.
Join certain task or contest since possibly you can get a merit there.

For sure many more factor and I just list those basic things you need to look forward so that you can earn some merits from people. But also maybe better not to think about getting it just focus on your activity and join lots of discussion since provably that you could just get it if you have patience and eager to improve in this forum.

There is no big deal here, you can up your merit when you make quality post, solve other people's problems and create an awareness on crypto scam, when you do all these things you're likely going to earn merit. The user that have 3 posts and 4 merit,I believe you went through his profile to confirm if what he posted was worth meriting otherwise he was helped by a high rank member.Never beg for merit because if you do you're likely not going to receive it, begging for merit is against the merit rules. What you ought to do as a newbie is to carry out your own research on the crypto community so that you can start making construction quality posts to earn merit as you wish.

There you go. I gave you 1 merit as a "good luck" gesture on your journey for more merit.
I checked your post history, doesn't seem like you're one of the "farming" accounts, so why not. People gave merit for worse reasons

How do you Up your Merit? i have 23 post and none, some have 3 post and 4 merit? wtf?

Upping your merit in the forum has nothing to do with how many posts you have posted in the forum. As long as your posts are not solving problems in the forum, you will always find it hard to up your merit in the forum. I just checked your profile, and I found out that all the posts you have posted in the forum are just two and a half lines, and you will find it very difficult to up your merit with such posts because most forum members will see you as a shit poster. If you want to start upping your merit in the forum, you have to change your posting pattern. If you can be posting posts that are always solving problems in the forum, then you are likely to up your merit in the forum.

This is about how useful the writing you post here is for those who read it or for this forum or for the ongoing discussion. Try to imagine what kind of post would make you feel helped after reading the post. And of course you will immediately be interested in appreciating the writing. And you might immediately give Merit if you already have it. By the way, you should also read how the Merit system works in this forum and the rules therein.

In this section of the board there are also posts that you can read to broaden your insight in understanding merits. Like this one. Newbies - Read before posting.

Or if you feel that the writing or post you have made is of adequate quality but Merit Source has missed it. Then you only need to bring your post to the Topic created specifically by Merit Source to accommodate quality posts that can be sent by each user here in the topic provided so that they can review it and give Merit if the quality of your post is worthy. One that is still active is this one. [Merit] Share your best posts/threads with Fillippone to be merit assessed

But remember to read the regulations first before you make a report containing your post there. But the advice I have for you is to first enjoy your adaptation and learning process here. because quality will be obtained as the insight you gain increases and which you can share here.

You can increase your merits by contributing to the forum. Contributing to the forum means posting constructive posts or high quality posts. Things you shouldn't do are using AI generated content and beg anyone to give you merits. Each member have their own criteria on how they give their merits. For example, my criteria is I give merits to those who post high quality content without using any tools or AI which means they personally wrote it and then they posted it.

You get merited when you deliver quality,  quality post gets people to meriting you as a way of encouraging you to do more becod the value they gw tod your post but then sometimes people may see value from your post and they may not have smertis to share so they will just pass, in that case you cannot see it like they have refused to merit you, they just didn't have but anyways keep delivering good post maybe some day a merit source may notice you and merit your quality post, you can aswell apply on threads where they get to review your best and quality submitted post and they merit it.

~

Everything that others have already suggested in this thread is good advice, so hopefully you learn something from this.  I can understand the desire to gain more privileges on the site through earning merit.  However, simply asking about it doesnt provide much value.  Instead, I would encourage focusing on contributing thoughtful, quality posts that helps the community.  Over time good contributions tend to get recognized. And theres nothing more to it.

How do you Up your Merit? i have 23 post and none, some have 3 post and 4 merit? wtf?

Went through your post history and there was no information there for me to grab. Just one or two lines posts with no quality information to pass. If you continue writing that way, you might likely hit over 1k posts count without any merits. I believe you must have been seeing those posts that earn up to 3 to 4 merits, they have vital information to pass. I am surprised you are wondering why you can't earn merits yet  Grin You should read more and make some researches to improve your knowledge and your writing skills.

Navigate other boards because I can see majority of your posts are only in one board. Read even if you have nothing to contribute, with time you will do better. I look forward to seeing some good posts from you.
