Controlling yourself in gambling is very difficult at times. I became addicted at one point early in my gambling life. When I was losing again and again I got frustrated and tried to take a break from it for a while but couldn't do it. But eventually I brought it under control. I have been able to understand my past mistakes. Knowing the rules of gambling before becoming addicted can benefit a gambler in many ways. Greed is the biggest enemy in the gambling world. Gambling conducted with caution will result in relatively high success rates.

Quitting gambling is hard especially if you have fallen deeply into a gambling addiction. Temptations will be everywhere and we can always see advertisements of gambling casinos promotions and bonuses which can attract us to try out again. If we want to completely leave gambling, then we should really commit ourselves to a real change leaving and ignoring all the temptations to gamble behind. It needs determination, discipline, and self-control to ignore anything that will attract us to gamble again. It will be challenging but once we surpass all those temptations and challenges, good things will surely follow.

If we ban gambling adds because gamblers might see it and feel the need to gamble maybe we should ban models in swimsuits because sex addicts might feel the need to masturbate. Or let's ban food pictures because people with eating disorders will have a hard time.

This doesnt makes sense to some extent, you can't ban food because it is a necessity, though I feel Sex adverts doesnt have a financial effect as gambling does, the reason why some people feel gambling is a headache to people is financial concerns and addiction and we all see how they are been advertise here and there but I can't boast that I haven't seen sex board been publicly displayed without broadcasting agency interfering and I don't think there is anyone here who dislike food or food adverts at least, we all do.

Your addiction is yours to fight and control. You can't expect the whole world to help you with it. Don't ant to see ads? Lock yourself in a room and don't come out until you're healed.

Anyone who thinks gambling adverts should be outlawed isn't a serious person. If you don't enjoy casino games, at least you'll appreciate sports because it's the reward and aspiration of certain fans of football. Gambling doesn't affect you until you've begun or had the fervour to participate.

I was just reading some articles on the web and upon every scroll, there was this gambling ad belonging to a casino that just displays, sometimes even covering parts of the text of the article i was reading, then at some point, i began to imagine myself as a gambling addict who is struggling to quit or reduce my gambling habit, and going online and seeing Ads of different kinds from different casinos, would this Ads lure the gambler back into gambling notwithstanding that he or she is trying to stop ?

If this continues to happen again and again, do you think such a person will ever leave such a habit?
It will all come to you being a disciplined person.
I believe that a disciplined person will not fall into some ads from different gambling websites are there. Even a particular website is full of banners of gambling sites, you as a gambler if being disciplined will just simply ignore it or just exit from that website.

On the other hand, this is hard to do especially if you are an addicted gambler because they tend to have a harder time quitting on what they really want to do. Maybe not visiting too many websites will help. Spending your time into different things like playing online games might help you. As with the habit one, it will be hard because if you always see banners of gambling ads on a daily basis, you will feel the urge to gamble, and it will keep going as long as you see gambling website banners.

And another question is, if you are addicted to gambling and wants to quit but discovers that seeing gambling Ads on the internet is one of the triggers that lures you into gambling again, is it possible for you to stay away from the internet until you are sure you've completely healed from that addiction?
Staying away from the internet? It might help but the question now is can you live without internet.
For me, it isn't necessary to stay away from the internet but spend your time in other things on the internet. Watching videos, watch movies or play online games. Anything that will entertain you might do but just stay away from websites that has many ads of gambling sites.

The main aim of most of these gambling firms is to maximize profit. Some of them don't care about the consequences of their aggressive marketing and how it affects people that needs help. These adverts would definitely lure the person back to gambling. Most of these ads are so attractive that you might even loose control if you are not discipline.

Internet is now an irreplaceable part of human life. The political, economical and social aspect of people's existence have been closely knitted with the internet. It might be advisable to reduce the use of the internet and not totally abandoning it.

It will depend on your will to stay away even if there's a temptation. It's the same as other temptations that we're feeling in this world. But, if we ever feel and want to quit, we will make it no matter what crave is with us and is in our surroundings.
Expect that there will be distractions that you'll see along your way of quitting and it's not their problem that they've been having ads because they need it for their business. What we need is to completely be aware that they could be visible everywhere and for us, we just have to look the other way.

Maybe we are aware that the internet is one of the factors a person is addicted to gambling, be it online or land-based, however, we cannot make the verdict that the internet is totally wrong in influencing individuals to lead to gambling addiction, for me many other factors and certain reasons the individual is addicted to gambling.

Maybe, believe it or not, I think there are many gambling addicts who are not directly involved with the internet, from the information of friends who have won and bet on the gambling site, it is also a factor where people have to bet and get addicted, but if I want to place a bet whether it's slots, poker, and so on, I mostly increase it based on the experience of friends who bet.

It's a harsh way of putting it, but it is true. I can't think of anything else to do to prevent this. You should avoid the internet because most ads you will see at that time are about gambling. Google ads are compelling because they are based on your search results, so you will most likely see gambling ads. Though sometimes we don't care about the ads since this doesn't matter, still, this would be a trigger, so it's best to leave the internet for a while and seek help from the doctor.

Your statement makes sense.

Indeed, there are many disorders and addiction that could be triggered by seeing different images, advertisements, and the likes. Reading various posts that can instill trigger on your end can really affect your way of thinking and your behavior as well. This is because by being triggered, you relive your bad memories, habits, and even the drive to do things you've already given up long time ago.

While preventing triggers could be a good idea to save someone from misery, it should be reminded that your healing is your responsibility and it's not the responsibility of the people around you. You are responsible for your own person. Treatment from serious gambling addiction is one of the good ways to survive with lesser probability of having a relapse. I very much agree that a person's struggle in addiction is their fight. Other people surrounding them could only do so much and adjust to a certain extent, but it won't always happen because as harsh as this may sound, the world do not revolve around you and your battle.
It will sum up on how great you are on controlling yourself. If you conquer your addiction for few years, I'm pretty much sure you can still control yourself from different entities like advertisement whether it is so convincing, having good offer or putting you at the spot of playing. You get pass so many obstacle to lessen or remove your addiction, These obstacle you pass and you acquire will help you to become immune from the lust of trying it again. Advertisements are created to lure you as a potential user into their offerings and it will all boils down to you how motivated you are not to get caught on that advertisement.

Getting away from gambling is never be so easy, there's a lot of temptation along the way but if you really want to change and stop gambling, you can do that.

Some ads are related to your social media account and with your emails, I remember searching for one thing online with my google account signed in, the next day I see the promotions related to that, so I believe that is a system generated promotions which always depend on your activities. All you have to do is to ignore it, or try not to use your previous accounts while you are still at the stage of recovery.

would this Ads lure the gambler back into gambling notwithstanding that he or she is trying to stop ?
This is totally subjective to the individual but likely it's leaning towards the path of getting addicted again if I'll be asked since it stimulates the curiosity again to try even a little.

If this continues to happen again and again, do you think such a person will ever leave such a habit?
For me no, most of the advertisement these days lure you to the very end and it will really hook you to whole new level. It's for those who has great resolve that will likely pass this test not to be lured again in gambling.

And another question is, if you are addicted to gambling and wants to quit but discovers that seeing gambling Ads on the internet is one of the triggers that lures you into gambling again, is it possible for you to stay away from the internet until you are sure you've completely healed from that addiction?
Possibilities are endless, I'd suggest to consult on experts regarding this matter since they are the one that can advice the patient to total rehabilitation. A person that is addicted should seek help.

It may not be necessary to prohibit gambling ads but provide a limit to which ads from advertisers may place ads. But after all, the general public will see it if the ad is posted in public places. There will probably be a special place for gambling advertisements.

But if the ad is on television or even on the internet, the ad provider needs to provide a special place for gambling only for adults who can see the ad. And it would be even better if there was a special place that would give people who access the place not to see gambling ads if they don't want to.
This is a good idea but at the same time I think that companies like Google should allow people to choose what are the ads they do not want to see, I say this because if you were gambler before and then you want to leave it behind it is likely that Google and other companies will keep showing you ads related to gambling, and while this is not a problem for those which can control their gambling, it is a problem for those that suffered from a gambling addiction.
Hopefully, Google pays attention to the convenience of its users and allows them to choose the type of ad they want because, to be honest, I'm also often sick of seeing ads that are not related to what I'm looking for. People addicted to gambling should not use smartphones like other people because it can make them return to gambling and they will find it difficult to stop gambling. If Google can provide comfort, people will not complain and will feel comfortable.

One of the most effective way to gain more players is with the help of the advertisement in different forms today social media is the best and promotional with where we experience right now, and by that it is more easier to them to received the information about the gambling casino exist features and other events by that it is courage the players to why not try another casino and enjoy the perks upon creating an account and make a play of it, that's the goal of the advertisements it depends now on the target audience if they want to try or not it is their responsibility if they want to play and taking a risk.

You cannot stop seeing those ads and you cannot stop from being on the internet and not seeing those ads you have no control over that, what you have to control is your urge and your reaction, if the only way to get out of addiction is to be away in the internet then it's your choice when quitting on something it is always on choice and control, if you don't have these two then you're not really that serious and it will only take a three-second ad to get you on your favorite casino.

Let's not also completely assume all ads werr of good intentions because many have been duped through such and it also appears as a distraction to many others when you're already on a particular content and ads begins troll in unnecessary causing distractions, hit the good side also is that you can be able to get an accurate information about something unexpected which could serve as an important information about gambling or general sports updates.

The ads is made or posted in order to lure people into gambling.  This works best with gambling addicts.  We all know that gambling addict has an uncontrollable urge to gamble so seeing this ads will make him wanting to go to the site and gamble.

If this continues to happen again and again, do you think such a person will ever leave such a habit?

If the person continue to see gambling ads , it will never make him leave the habbit because the temptation would be very strong for a gambling addict to resist.  The best thing is for the gambling addict to avoid the site that has gambling ads.

is it possible for you to stay away from the internet until you are sure you've completely healed from that addiction?

This depends on the will of the gambling addict.  If he is really serious on getting out of addiction he must at all cost avoid the site with gambling advertisement.

When you make a decision to quit gambling, you should also know that it is not going to be an easy decision. With that notice, you should expect temptations that will want to lure you back to change your decisions. If staying offline for a while to avoid gambling ads since you know you can't control it will help, you can try that option, I have met people who have decided to stay offline for even lesser reason.
Anything that you become used to do it will definitely make it harder for you to avoid or to stop from doing so, and gambling addiction is certainly one of it. That is why never do it in an abrupt way, but minimize your gambling activities first until you feel ready not to gamble anymore. And if you are fixed in your decision to leave gambling, avoid all means online or offline, as any advertisement that pertains to gambling will always lure you to gamble again.

It has cone a long way now that you discover people relating their personal weakness as being applicable for general public to also reason thesame way they think, you're right maye, each gambler has to learn how to build himself, behave himself and also control his addicting habit, ads were intended to only pass information across not not a stimulator to gambling should in case you come across one, people do evil not because they found it easier to do but because their mind is already corrupt of evil thoughts, ads were not as bad as it may be applicable to some people referring to it as something bad, they should work on theirselves and not ads, we see caeinos signboards, arts, and many advertisement medium which could ease the interest of people to gamble but yet some never get influenced by what they see, rather they got moved by their determinations.
