Some persons take up jobs because of the money, they do it but they lack personal fulfillment and they end up being miserable. However, when you make your talent your profession, you might not be rich but you will be happy doing what you love. Having said that, the job loss could be the push you need to usher you to your next level. I've heard of some persons after a job loss, they decided to pursue their dreams and later became very successful. I also understand the pressure that comes with joblessness, especially now that you've more responsibilities.

My question is that, how does one go about joining the right community to fulfil a dream after a job loss?
How does one know the right persons to follow and community to join to help them achieve their dream or purpose in this life?
If you've a skill you're interested, then you should be able to locate people who have same skill in your environment that are ahead of you. Reach out to them for advice, guidance and also do some networking.

Your thoughts are welcomed!

I think I've been through this kind of situation, I needed to earn income in student life and then I knock almost everyone of my classmates who are freelancing. By knocking like this, I found a friend who works on this bitcointalk forum or related to cryptocurrency. Then give time with him and discuss in detail. Later one day I went to his house and I got a rough knowledge about what system can be worked or how it is possible to earn later.
The reason for telling the above story is that earning on the go is never suddenly possible unless one has good skills. I had the above story happen to me three to four years ago. So if you don't have the right skills, no matter how good the community you join, earning will not be possible. But to take good guidelines will choose those who are effective and successful in their work. Of course don't choose communities that don't keep up with current standards, or don't update themselves.

It is not that easy, while there are many countries in which the job market is very dynamic and you can find a similar job in a very short amount of time, there are many countries in which this is not true and you may need several months in order to find a new job.

So during that time you will have to survive with whatever savings that you got, and this can really put you on the spot as there are not many people that can get by for so long with just their savings, a circumstance that could cause those people to ask for loans, making their situation even more precarious than what it is already.

Finding jobs is not an easy task because of overpopulation and limited seats therefore focus on saving some amount and initiate a business because in business you will not work under your boss and will work without fear of dismissing from your job.

In amount of saving a person will survive only for month or two so after that life will become difficult for him therefore don't keep quite if you Loss a single job because if you have skills you can create different ideas for getting income.

Your story confused me but that is not withstanding. Losing of a job has nothing to do with joining a community or forum to fullfil your dreams. Is it because of this forum you are bringing this topic? Well let's face the live situation in this case. When you lose a job, it would be painful because at that time you are jobless and probably you are the bread winner in the family and you have the family responsibilities in your head. I don't at that moment you will be mindful to look for a good community to join but it is better you look for another job to do either minor or average to feed yourself and others first before you think of looking for a community to job.

Joining a community to full your dreams is wrong habitation. Meaning your are going there because of money and mind you bitcointalk is to invest and that is the main purpose of it.

If along the line you suddenly loss your job for one reason or the other and now you have to rely on whatever wits and skills you have to survive with a family, instead of trying to look for another job and be doomed to misery, supposing you have some skill of sort that has been hidden and waiting to be explored, how do you hone such a skill, so much so that you earn from it?

This is where playing with your strengths comes into play.

If you have a certain hobby/skill that you are confident with, then exercise that opportunity in order to have an advantage compared to others.

For example, if a person lost their current job but they are good with cooking, perhaps they can start a small cookery on their garage and establish a mini-joint restaurant. Another example, if a person is well-versed with playing instruments, perhaps they can attend different gigs to play music on the street and at least receive some small compensation along the way.

Actually most of the time you do not know which community or persons to follow especially if you are on your own.

In simple terms, it is a leap of faith that you exercise as you will definitely learn and discover along the way. There is this famous quote that says that luck is when opportunity meets preparation, meaning that you prepare for such opportunity to happen by practicing it over and over again.

This really depend on what skills you have. You need to be in the right community based on your skills - the internet can help you find these communities easily.

Simply put - there is a process and hard work that you have to do to find your own passion so that your dreams can be achieved. If you are someone who is an expert in the field of content processing - you can find an easy job to become a content creator, as well as others. After all - you don't need a community in the beginning, but what you do need are good skills and developing them.

My question is that, how does one go about joining the right community to fulfil a dream after a job loss?

Why do you need to find a community that will help you while you can look directly for a job that suitable your skills. There’s a lot of job available on job site or you can go overseas to find a much better job. As long as you have skills, you don’t need to worry about losing your job because there’s always a better opportunity from different companies.

Don’t make yourself limited to your current/previous job.

Following someone or community is not my type, you should do it yourself relying to someone because it’s your life. You should be the one creating your path to success and not by following someone because we have different career path in life.
We all definitely have different career paths and while I agree on not following anyone, I must say that when one is still kinda new in an environment and sure as hell don't speak the local dialect fluently, it might become more of an issue of trying to adapt and reorganize having lost a job and getting familiar with the current territory, rather than spend much time job hunting without a say in the environment.

For directions on how to source for information most times, one may simply get stuck because of not knowing how to go about asking the right persons the right questions.
This is why many have grown accustomed to doing remote work, because once one can lock onto passions and dreams that require one going outside and grow their network of like minded persons after a job loss, and hope to find and establish the right connections that will help them succeed in the path they have chosen to go, career wise, questions like this have to be asked to be the guiding star to making and being the right connection along the right path.

Being fired from your job is not as unfortunate as you think, see it as an opportunity given to you. You need to plan your financial situation and consider the skills you can use in the near future. It's a good idea to make sure your CV is up to date, network with others and not passively wait for vacancies to appear. Not only is it important to secure a new job for yourself, but I find it also applies very well to people who already have a stable job but are still looking for another side job.

You also need to have a positive mindset along with healthy habits when looking for a new job, I find that reflects the employer's attitude towards employees. No boss wants to hire an employee who has a stubborn attitude at work, right?

Before everything happens, it would be better if we had prepared everything. However, the problem is that sometimes we are too comfortable with what we are doing, when we work we don't think about something that might happen in the future, such as losing our job because of something we didn't think about beforehand. So therefore, when we work we have prepared a scenario where we will lose our job, if we have thought about that then we will not be confused when we lose our job because we have prepared everything.
We must have thoughts for the future in any case, because we cannot always be in a good situation. Sometimes things we don't want come suddenly and we never know when it will happen.

For me it's as simple. You should first go look for that which you love most or the skill which you have that you think can earn you a living then go for it. There are a lot of online communities that one could join just like this forum where you will find people like you that has same skill and perhaps via regular communication one can get contacts that might be of help to you getting a better version of yourself.

After from online communities you can decide to join people who have the same perspective as you or let's us my skill for example; I'm a graphic designer and a photographer if I lose my imaginary job right now, what I will do is go back to people who are into photography (community) then begin to seek to offer a service of assistance in my field of work and perhaps from this kind of mind set one can get his or her dream by just following role models who have what you want.

Yeah that's the right approach I completely agree with you but the point here is that no one is explaining how we should get the fear out of our mind that this particular skill that we love will not give me enough money to live a good and successful life.

In my opinion many people fail to go for their dream job because they fear to be jobless at the end because most of the skills that people love don't have that much market demand. There should be a proper counselling course of a good teacher to teach someone from his past life experience so that one can surpass that barrier in his mind.Only then he will be able to pursue the job that he would love to do.

After experiencing a job loss, it can be a stressful and uncertain time. However, it can also be an opportunity to reassess one's goals and passions, and potentially pursue a dream career or path that has been lingering in the back of their mind.

To hone a hidden skill and turn it into a profitable venture, it's important to first identify what that skill is and how it can be monetized. This might involve taking courses, seeking mentorship, or gaining practical
In terms of finding the right community to support and guide you in achieving your dream, it's important to surround yourself with like-minded individuals who share your passions and goals. This can involve attending networking events, joining online communities or forums, and seeking out mentors who have experience in your desired field.

It's also important to be discerning in choosing the right people to follow and community to join. Look for individuals who have achieved success in a similar area and who share your values and vision. Avoid those who may lead you astray or discourage you from pursuing your dreams. Following your passions and honing your skills in a supportive community can lead to fulfilling work and a sense of purpose in your life. It may take time and effort, but with dedication and perseverance, you can turn your dreams into a reality.

Your thoughts are welcomed!

Will your community change when you lose your job? Of course not, it means your community is the same when you work and after losing your job and before you lose your job you can assess whether your community is a community that can have a good influence or not, for example, you think people who have dream will probably leave their jobs because want to pursue their dreams, and of course there will be communication and discussion with your community when you decide to quit from the job because you want to discourage your dreams and those who can provide constructive advice and provide good motivation are the ones who must be maintained, especially when they can support your dreams, for example using your service or buy the product you sell if its a part of your dream.

Actually you dont need one because you could actually make actions to your own or oneself in regarding to this without having those kind of community feedbacks or approach or joining up some groups.
If you have lost your job then dont seek out for some sympathy into other people or looking for a community. You can do it on your own because other people cant help you out on finding another job
or would really be showing up some concern on what happen into you. Into this world then this one would really be survival of the fittest on which if you are someone whose really that
relying too much on what other people would be saying then you wont really be that progressive as much as possible.

As an individual then you would really be that needing to find another job as soon as possible specially if you are someone who does have a family to raise on which
it would be that a common approach for you to have.

losing your job sucks. Sometimes getting the wind knocked out of you is exactly what you need to really start breathing. This is your chance. Not some cliché, but a real, honest-to-god chance to rethink everything. Forget about finding "the right community" for a minute. Look inside. What are you actually good at? What gets you fired up, even when you feel like you're running on empty? Those are your guideposts

Now, the internet; that's your hunting ground. Reddit, LinkedIn, niche forums, wherever your people might be. Search like you're starving; because in a way, you are. You're not searching for a lifeline, you're searching for fuel. The right community isn't just a place to whine, it's a place to grind. Look for the people who inspire you, the ones putting in the work. Talk less, listen more. Learn. Soak it all in. These people, they'll show you what potential really looks like, and that fire will ignite your own. You'll see

Having a positive mindset will lead you to the right path, I agree with what you've said, sometimes we don't need to take things happened to us negatively, sometimes we are taken out of that situation because we are not really meant for it, we always think that when something is lost, there is something better to replace it. That has been my life mantra since then, to reduce my being a negative thinker, but sometimes we can't avoid not thinking negative things, it's healthy if we allow ourselves to be pessimists sometimes but don't let's get used to it. So instead of  thinking about the things that can happen in our future, let's act first and do the right thing because for sure a better opportunity is waiting for you, the one you really want to do and the one that help you to grow as a person.
By having a positive mindset of course this will help us to keep trying to be better than before, because if we always think negatively of course we will not be able to develop and will only regret what we have gone through and we will be lazy in correcting the mistakes we have made and I really agree with what you said, when something is lost from us of course there will be a replacement that is better than before but we must be able to have positive thoughts so that we can try again to repair the failures we have experienced, but if we have negative thoughts of course we will look for ways to justify what we are doing without realizing that what we did was a mistake and not thinking about how to fix it of course this will make it very difficult for us to change to be better. better than before.

From my perspective, you have to hit the ground running immediately. No time for time wasting. If you lost a previous job it means you have experience, so use that experience. Update your CV and cover letter and start applying for more jobs that you fit the role. See yourself as worthy of those high-paying roles if you have the qualifications and experience, don't see yourself as small. Believe in yourself that you deserve the best.

You mentioned that you have a skill. A skill you've not used over the years. What to do is brush up on those skills. I don't care what skill it, is or how good you were at that skill, if you haven't practiced you must be rusty. So start practicing that skill again, start learning again, till when you feel you're better and ready to take jobs from clients. If it's a digital skill you can register on sites like Upwork, freelancer, and Fiverr. The downside is, on these sites you need to have a good portfolio before you can stand a higher chance of getting clients. So I'd advise you to take normal jobs, but at lower rates, and if possible, do free jobs for friends and family just to build your portfolio. You can include jobs like that as your past work.
Then make use of social media. Create digital fliers and advertise on social media sites. You can also use social media advertising like Facebook and YouTube ads. Create awareness about your skills.
Mind you, you have to keep searching for jobs and applying while also marketing your skills. There are different sites to look for jobs like Indeed and LinkedIn where you also get email notification of jobs that fit your job description. So create accounts on these and include your CV. Make it look professional. If you can't create a top-notch CV, get a professional to do it for you. In fact, I won't advise you to do your CV yourself because there are tests that CVs go through and a lot of CV fail the test.

I'm not saying doing these will guarantee you a job, but a perfect CV and cover letter, applying for jobs, and marketing your skills online and offline increase your chances of getting a job.

Now along the way in your job search journey, you begin to meet people and platforms of people just like you or who were like you. Learn from them. There's always something to learn.
Also, you can use the opportunity to pick up another skill, if this is possible. It could be a skill that will increase your chances of getting hired, I mean a skill that compliments what you have on your CV, a skill that makes you stand out. It could also be a different skill altogether. Maybe you picked an interest in it along the way. It wouldn't hurt to start learning it but have a long-term plan. Take it one day at a time, but have a team plan for that skill. What do you want to do with the skill? How does it benefit you? What's the market for that skill like? Do you have the resources to start that skill after learning? Questions like these and more should be answered.

My question is that, how does one go about joining the right community to fulfil a dream after a job loss?
Honestly, I'm currently experiencing this scenario, I already submitted my resignation letter on my current job, my first job, the reason is that the work environment is toxic and the commuting is hard for me, even thou I learn a lot in my first job but still I don't see myself being successful or able to achieve my dreams and goal if I will going to stay in my current company, that's why I decided to resign, but of course with a plan before resigning I already found different and good opportunity from different companies and I know If I will accept one of those companies I will be one step closer to my goal.

How does one know the right persons to follow and community to join to help them achieve their dream or purpose in this life?
Well because I know myself very well, so I know where I will prosper and will become even more skilful and talented worker, but of course I don't intent to stay a worker for my whole life, my goal is to have my own business so I can focus on relaxing in life, that is the path I choose that's why I know what is right and wrong to my decisions.
