OP, I liked how you presented this in a kinda-sorta fun way.  Hopefully any newbies reading it will take all this information to heart, because it's spot-on.

On a related note, I haven't seen many ban appeal threads lately.  I just noticed that; could it be that rules are being broken less?  My noodle will ponder that all night until the coffee is gone.

Let's hope that members act are getting fit to rules because if its so this place will better than yesterday Smiley

I like the effort, unfortunately a lot of the rule breakers aren't unintentionally breaking the rules, they just don't care. They're here for one thing only, and that's to make money. So, they probably haven't even looked at the rules, let alone attempt to do something like this.

It's also probably important to outline that a lot of us probably break the rules unintentionally from time to time. For example, off topic posts are almost common place. I think every user does this from time to time.

I can say that I am glad that the number of people who really care is not small. Others will eventually find themselves left out by respectful members.

-

What they say, small actions will be news of big changes. Even if it has an effect on even one person out of 3.5 million members, it means that we have put another brick for tomorrow.

Thousands of reports are sent every year. Many members are unwittingly breaking the rules here. It may be unnecessary for members with awareness like you, but with this topic, I tried to raise awareness by introducing these forum rules to new members in a functional way.

As long as there are people who are banned, we can say that not everyone can make 10/10 Smiley So I hope this thread will be useful to someone.

+1 or -1, where no additional insight is added is never useful
I don't visit many other non-crypto related forums anymore, but boy oh boy did that used to be a thing--and it probably is still a thing on discussion forums that allow it.  Goddamn is it annoying to have to scroll through dozens of posts like that, and I've just taken it for granted on bitcointalk that nobody is going to get away with just posting "+1" or those other useless phrases you mentioned, but it's thanks to the rules we have here that crap like that doesn't pollute threads even further.

xrp shitcoin is SCAM - get out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1. No zero or low value, pointless or uninteresting posts or threads. [1][e]
2. No off-topic posts.
3. No trolling.

Clearly worthless, off-topic and trolling posts are forbidden in the forum rules. However in some situation, messages such as +1 or -1 may be meaningful, but in this message clearly they aren't.

+1 or -1, where no additional insight is added is never useful, same like "Buy, buy, buy, it's good coin!", "congrats for winning, bro" or "very nice project, SIR" it's outright shitpost and should be deleted ASAP + if it's done again from same member in a new post, newly written after a previous post was already deleted = 7 day ban if account is wearing a paid signature.
If in question, paid signature spam should be deleted.

Goodnight, ohh Leo!!! 🦅
Well, I didn't wanna say anything In here ( for some reasons I'm uncertain about just yet) but it's cool.
I love the effort, the creativity and lastly, the presentation... For sure, it deserves some accolades.. kudos dude.
I'll still tell you that you've mixed up things seriously.... This are two different context in one topic, -- I'm not saying it ain't cool like that but, it doesn't commensurate properly -- yeah I know for sure that "knowing which responses to make each and everytime is imperative" .... Knowing the forum rules is too... This ain't no segregation, take note.
I'll urge 'em rookies -- the ones we've got trooping in lately to please adhere to the rules -- that's what has kept everyone you've seen this far...

Wasn't knocking down your effot; it's a good initiative and would surely help many forum members come to the awareness of the rules and why it's important.

I was a bit sleepy while typing, happens sometimes and the message doesn't come through as it was intended.
Would love to see a challenge to know how may members TUI - Type under the influence. Not necessarily literally  Grin

Many of the questions are general, forum trivia questions and not necessarily related to the forum rules or how to avoid breaking them.

I scored 10/10, which doesn't cause I e been around here for a while.

I scored 10/10, which doesn't mean much, cause I've been around here for a while.
Newbies should have a go and see how familiar they are with forum rules.

Following the forum rules is important for various of reasons. First of all, it helps to create a positive and respectful community where members can have constructive discussions. When everyone follows the rules, it makes the forum a more enjoyable and welcoming place for everyone.  This can help to make the forum a more valuable resource for everyone who uses it. Finally, not following the rules can result in consequences such as warnings or bans, so it's always in your best interest to follow them whether be newbie or legendary it doesn't matter.

For this reason, this topic was created to inform the new members about the forum rules in a different way. It is also intended to remind those who have been members for a long time. I hope you like it Smiley

Some questions have 2 choices and some of them 4 choices. Don't be afraid to make mistakes, mistakes don't take away the true answers in this test, go as far as you can, you are the judge here you can't deceive yourself Smiley

1) If you were to write an answer to the quote below, what would it be?
Is anyone having such issues? I am having difficulty browsing around the pages.

IMAGE

Menus are not clearly loading, the text box tool icons are not loading, index page board icons are not loading, left and right icons (last post) on the topic list for boards are not loading.

I tried to clear cache with possible everything. Ctrl+Shift+R, Ctrl+F5. Cleared my browsing history. But nothing is working. It seems something wrong on the server side, CSS messed up or something.

a) No
b) -1
c) I haven't faced with such a problem. However, there may be a problem with your internet connection. Can you turn the modem off and on?
d) LOL

2) Do you have any problems for opening the following thread?

10th QUESTION

25. If you get banned (temporarily or permanently) and create a new account to continue posting / sending PMs, it's considered ban evasion. The only exception is creating a thread in Meta about your ban.

If you are banned from the forum and you think you are innocent; All you have to do is create a new account just to post topics on Meta. If an account has been banned and you plan to open a new account and continue, remember that sooner or later you will be caught. Also, even if your disrespectful behavior is tolerated, remember that this forum and community is respectful and you may find yourself left out. Therefore if your account banned wrongly just wait for your request handled!

Therefore, the correct answer is "D".

And if you've come this far without any mistakes, congratulations my friend 👏👏👏👏 Smiley

9th QUESTION

30. This includes (but is not limited to) domains, software keys and membership invitations. What's considered similar is up to the moderator handling the situation.
16. Do not have more than one active sales topic in the Currency exchange board. [3]

It may be profitable for you to highlight more than one product, but for the operation and system of this forum, similar content should be offered for sale on a single topic.  And don't forget you can have only one active sales topic in the Currency Exchange Board

8th QUESTION

15. No on-forum altcoin giveaways. [6][e]
29. Sending unsolicited PMs, including but not limited to advertising and flood, is not allowed.
27. Using automated translation tools to post translated content in Local boards is not allowed.

You want to be successful, but the old ways are starting to get boring. For this reason; You can't get anywhere by sending promotional messages to members' private message boxes, opening a giveaway topic in the forum and using translation applications on local boards. Because these actions are prohibited in order to maintain the order of the forum. Also, be more rational otherwise the end of this road is gettin banned!

7th QUESTION

20. There are restrictions when selling accounts and invites for invite-only sites. See https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/sales-of-accounts-and-invites-to-invite-only-sites-134779 [2][?]

Being a member of sites that accept membership by invitation can be really challenging, even I have experienced this situation. People who are banned from these sites or who want to engage in any fraudulent activity continue to act by purchasing invitations. Apart from being restricted by the rule specified in the forum, if these people detected by moderators or admins you may banned too. All your efforts and reputation will gone in that situation.

6th QUESTION

8. No threats to inflict bodily harm, death threats.
Q: Why haven't you banned who is an obvious scammer?
A: Possible (or real, not for me to decide) scams are not moderated to prevent moderator abuse. If we start picking out which ones we call "scammers" and ban, we would make a lot of decisions based on biased opinions.
6. No linking to phishing or malware, without a warning and a valid reason. [e]

First of all, God save us from such people. Secondly death threats and using malware or sth is forbidden due to forum rules. If you try to scam using a phishing or malware, you will be banned sooner or later. The best thing you can do is to warn forum members by posting on reputation!

5th QUESTION

14. All altcoin related discussion belong in the Alternate cryptocurrencies and its child boards. [3][4][e]

If you want to open a topic about Ethereum or any other altcoin, the Bitcoin discussion board is not the right place Smiley

4th QUESTION

9. Discussions in the main boards must be in english. All other language discussions should be posted in the appropriate Local board.

It may be a problem for him to trust the person who says he is Satoshi, but this will not be binding on the forum rules. However, it is unacceptable to open a topic in a local language on the main board Smiley

3th QUESTION

13. Bumps, "updates" are limited to once per 24 hours per thread. Bumping multiple threads at the same time is allowed if it's not annoying. [2][e]
7. No begging. [5]
29. Sending unsolicited PMs, including but not limited to advertising and flood, is not allowed.

Almost all of us have experienced it. We have had messages or topics that we have been thinking about for hours. In fact, when we wake up, we look and there is neither a message nor a merit. However, we are not the decision maker here. Let me give an example, you may not want to send a message or merit to a topic that someone else has worked on, this is your decision. Likewise, it is the decision of the members to send a reply or merit to your messages and topics.

Therefore, if you want to update the topic again in accordance with the forum rules, you should wait at least 24 hours, you should not abuse members via private messages and you should not beg by doing actions such as demagogy.

2th QUESTION

33. Posting plagiarized content is not allowed.[e]

So our trick question is here Smiley If you look carefully, there is a space in a second paragraph. If you press and hold there you will see "Source: Link" the message is hidden. That means this user copy and paste this text from somewhere. The problem is he claimed at the beginning this is his research. However nowadays, many web sites add information with the name of the site in the copying action with some plugins in order to prevent plagiarism. This member didn't notice this, so how did you miss it Smiley

1th QUESTION
