We are thinking about doing a bounty campaign. Is there a post where is explained, what is exactly allowed in a giveaway?
See https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/incentivizing-posting-via-low-effort-tasks-likes-follows-etc-is-not-allowed-3953664:

Accepting signups or requiring proof of participation for tasks requiring substantial effort (e.g. signature campaign signups, weekly social media campaign reports, media (videos, images, articles, etc.) bounty signups, etc.) via a thread posted in Bounties (Altcoins) is allowed though.

I'd recommend checking out the other pinned thread on the Bounties (Altcoins) board.

So if I'm expected to promote, and grow the community for using this campaign as a basis - https://superb.games/campaign am I still allowed to create a thread in the bounty section? We're raffling x amount of the things you see on the website, and to enter said raffle we expect members to complete tasks directed at growing said community.

What am I allowed to do and what am I not allowed when interacting with the forum here?
If entering your raffle doesn't require users to post on a Bitcointalk thread (no "post in our ANN thread" task, accepting entries off-forum (e.g. via Google Forms)), there are no restrictions on whether the task is low effort or not. If you do accept raffle entries via your Bitcointalk bounty thread, you are not allowed to accept entries for "low effort tasks (e.g. signups or proof of participation for liking, following, subscribing, retweeting, tweeting a single tweet, joining a channel or group, etc.)" (from https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/incentivizing-posting-via-low-effort-tasks-likes-follows-etc-is-not-allowed-3953664).

mprep what about airdrops? That are not giveaways or lottery
The name doesn't matter. If it matches the description outlined in this thread's OP or the pinned threads in Bounties (Altcoins) it's not allowed.

Most giveaway threads are no longer allowed in the Alternate cryptocurrencies sections. From now on, posting or replying to such threads could result in being banned. Existing threads will be locked.

Specifically, you are not allowed to give people any incentive to post insubstantial posts in your threads. You can't offer to pay people who post their addresses, usernames, etc. You can do giveaways off-site and link to the giveaway page in a thread, but you can't give people any bonus for replying to your thread.

Similar threads are already restricted to Games and Rounds in the non-altcoin sections, but the giveaway-related post volume is so high in the altcoin sections that I've decided to just ban them entirely here.

This is quite the development.
As a newbie what can you advise a person like me to learn and stick with so that I should be within thy good grace in this forum

in the last few years there have been a lot of links circulating about airdrob, even crypto users are already busy following every airdrob that is launched, the fact is that currently some airdrobs do not pay their participants as promised, even if there are airdrobs that pay, the amount is very It's a little, but I'm surprised that until this second there is no ban at all about giveway in this forum, badal has been a lot of crypto users who have been deceived from giveway or airdrob, but I personally am not at all interested in the name airdrob because I think they are just wasting my time.

I think some new "airdrop" gifts are very close and I'm a little confused as to how the recent Sig / Bounty campaign has been discontinued while some very sketchy airdrop threads have been able to uncheck.

You can give off-site and link to a page in a thread, but you can't give people a bonus for responding to your thread.

If people want to give away, at least give it away on their own site or in a place where it can be done. Create a section to give coins maybe to keep the content in one section and not everywhere.

Actually, but it became packed in there, so Certainly can see why you'd like a secure location for giveaways rather than the risk of a fraudulent reroute, and that's something it can do.

Heya, i wanna do a private airdrop for a asset on the stellar chain. My only goal is to get more people creating a trustline to that specific asset and then answer with their federation or wallet address so i can send them their token.

Is that still ok over here? Wink

Seems like your giveaway incentivizes posting within one or more specific threads ("answer with their federation or wallet address") in exchange for altcoins ("a asset on the stellar chain"). So no, it's not allowed. You're free to post an announcement for your giveaway in Bounties (Altcoins) but accept entries via Bitcointalk PM (either ask users to PM you or PM a user specifically created for the airdrop). You can also accept entries off-site (e.g. via Google Forms).

I see, perfect... Thanks for your quick answer! Awesome. Wink

This news was published in 2014, is it still relevant for 2021? I don’t think so why not remove it. I agree for the blocking, but if this is not spam, but ordinary discussion of the issue? I see no point in blocking in this case.

I agree with this, way back 2017 there are a lot of thread that are non-sense. Is it good that they are lessen those kind of threads and deleted some post that really irrelevant to the thread. It's good that they are cleaning the forum and hoping that it will continue to clean or delete non-sense thread. So we may avoid or stop spamming.
Giveaways are basically not bad, it is good for helping others, but it should be managed in proper way, Now a days giveaways are scamming and spamming. Now Giveaway threads should not be here in this forum.

It takes patience and good cooperation because everyone will have different perceptions, for that a moderator is needed in order to solve and help whether or not it is necessary.
because for the common good it is necessary indeed to update that does not make it look irregular anymore.

Whenever you want to add a site or promotion link with altcoins, it will come to you as a barrier.
Thank you for the warning. I am glad that I saw this post because I do not want my account get blocked because i will not have earnings. I think that the giveaway threads must be stopped because many people are trying to reply onto them and they might get scammed in that post so we should not let the give away threads to exist.
