It can help in a lot of places just that we more or less are not aware of where it is being used. Many financial companies are using the blockchain technology for developing applications and running their systems. Gradually we might see the blockchain developers being a specific niche of software developers - currently the tech industry is seeing this change.As we can see clearly the government do no oppose the use of this tech but they oppose the use of bitcoin. Agree. There will be a lot of usages in the future. Even at the moment, many applications have been made and implemented such as DeFi, NFT or other real life works. However, we are still far from the prosper utilization so I bet the world will be a much better place with blockchain

Entertainment with blockchain? I remember the LiveSeed project and the Viuly project which I had participated in they were doing things in this line. Viuly met a sad ending to its project but LiveSeed after a few years have been showing some signs of life.
Speaking from a customer point of view, mainstream markets are so widespread and customer friendly, that is has become difficult to raise a niche following of crypto projects let aside the government acceptance and legality of cryptocurrency.
The only alternate way to use crypto in them is allow buying subscriptions at the cost of crypto. But then again a middleman service will be there who will exchange the crypto to fiat which goes to the owners of the app.
This is where the problem begins. As you put in a middleman, they will have some commission, so you as a owner would have to raise the price to even out the costs and get a similar amount back in your pocket as other OTT services are getting. Not just OTT, but any other paid service where bitcoin is being accepted needs this middleman. Unless governments start accepting crypto as a usable currency, this problem will remain.

The scope of your question is really broad but I think you were talking about possible real time application of crypto not only as a medium of exchange and payment purposes. Blockchain games already exist and most company are focussing on creating games wherein you could earn money in a form of crypto tokens and make a profit out of it. Enjoying a game while earning money and I firmly believe this is something we should look forward in the future.
Blockchain application in the near future would be vast. I foresee Bitcoin been applied in our general communial interaction on a daily affairs. Business has started adopting Bitcoin as means of payment and different financial institutions are creating policies that would ensure smooth transactions with Bitcoin in the nearest future. Let's consider Matercard for instance that is putting things in place so as to do proper transactions with crypto currencies.

There are more than 100+ applications that would go off in the future but I do think that for me the most important would be : How is it possible to make entertainment - social application with help of blockchain? i need some example.
The usage of blockchain in the governmental sector.
Which would mean that :
All the transactions would become transparent , they would not be able to hide it from the public, ofc they are the ones who ask to do KYC right ? They would also have to do it and therefore the corruption might dissolve slowly and finally we might have a Corruption free society for real and that would be one step closer towards a better future for everyone. I do believe that corruption in the root of all evil in the governmental society and therefore the public would be at peace with each other and we can finally see some improvement......
The Transparency will really reduce corruption, but I suspect the crafty ones would begin to change the meaning of corruption and decieve people they control into accepting them as good, then corruption/evil would become open and acceptable.This is where Immutablity will play an important role.. . every past changes/records have to be preserved and easily accessible to the public. Maybe they will use fear tactics to prevent people from going through the past records, in this case anonymity becomes also important for people who will be looking for truths.
The future is very unpredictable and it's very clear that modification to current available technology will continue to happen we'd be seeing different dApps created out of the existing Blockchain application like using AI to develop games through Blockchain and improve national security through crypto. Everything is possible with science and technology. We can be hopeful that we live long enough to witness some of our expected realities.

well, blockchain has dominated already in many web app these days, they are just not very well known to regular people. i'm looking forward to truly decentralization even the domain names and servers and IPFS which works like the bittorent. someone had predicted this actually i can't remember who but i have been reminded again when i watch the FILEcoin review on youtube.
future alone ? or the future with blockchain and cryptos ? future alone would be bright because we can see how devs develop a pretty useful apps for all but it would become more brighter if with the help of cryptos and blockchain technology . i cant explain the feeling because they are too vast but im sure we all here that are involved in this technology already knew that . idk if what are ideas might be formed but obviously that must be the idea that arent been there before . i have no comment in the succesful blockchain apps because they are already succesful anyway but social media based blockchain apps are not that mainstream although they are possible .
I would say that e-commerce would be the most successful application if it ever were to integrate blockchain on its system. In a free world that has a economy that yearns and is driven by a free market, e-commerce that can directly do transactions with the clients is going to be revolutionary. There might be others that I can't put my head right now but I am pretty sure that e-commerce applications and websites will be the one that will stand on top.
