judging myself would make me feel really wrong.
give me enough money to feed myself and an extra 50$ every week and I'll be happy. am I greedy?

Doesn't mean you are greedy but what happens if you lose $50 every week instead of making $50. You will start betting $100, and then $200 and then $400, and that will make you greedy.

Wanted to know how greedy people actually are , I'am personally not into gambling with the real meaning to be honest
however I see a lot of my friends says "im stupid" and stuff like that , because they start earning a lot on the begining then they get greedy and lose basically all , does it happen to you ?

i haven't lost shitloads of money but i havent earned any profit that is considerable either

every human have greedy inside..
great thing to having self-control of it and this control depends to human's personality and habit..

I vote to I am not , I play it smart..
but i can't say i play it smart actually, because i am not smart on gambling..
on mind-set i am still not a good gambler so i play it safe just for getting fun.. Smiley

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions but not everyone has to agree with your analysis so I will just leave it at that plus who cares about someone else's lost money. Have a nice day.

I may not be getting your strong point but you keep mentioning someone is greedy by betting huge and losing everything in the end

Dont twist it there, Im simply stating an example where someone doesnt know when to stop although he had made a solid profit there and thus keep going on while he cant stop right there and withdraw , enjoy the winning. Greed driven him to bet more , to gain more and it is simple like that . For me this is being greedy, if this isnt greedy for your thoughts than I can simply assume that you are greedy as well and this example suit yourself which makes you going into counter argument like this which is really unnecessary

-snip-
So, how do you measure greed exactly? Is there a formula? An equation?

I have given my answer on this as well, it is unnecessary to do so and it is pointless to measure it , dont push yourself there.

Gamblers are not more greedy than other 'ordinary' people because you perceive them as such based on your own judgement.

Where did I mentioned gamblers are more greedy than ordinary people? I didnt mentioned anything like this but I do posted that most people are greedy which is true and dont confuse yourself more with it because it is unnecessary

EDIT :
Everyone is entitled to their own opinions but not everyone has to agree with your analysis so I will just leave it at that plus who cares about someone else's lost money. Have a nice day.

Again you are confusing yourself again, I dont say that everyone has to agree with my either. Have a nice day as well

I may not be getting your strong point but you keep mentioning someone is greedy by betting huge and losing everything in the end, so my question still stands. How do you measure greed by someone else's actions that solely depend on the factor luck. Some guy may be earning $500k a month running a company. Say what if said mister goes on a friday night out with friends and runs 100k$ into 1 million and then loses it betting on red in a las vegas casino, does this make him more greedy than your friend? What if your friend was earning $5k a month and betting $500 a month for fun and is on the verge of winning $50k with the last hand in poker and loses, then what? he is so much greedy than you because you like to run .01 into .1 and then stop cause you are satisfied.

So, how do you measure greed exactly? Is there a formula? An equation? What? Gamblers are not more greedy than other 'ordinary' people because you perceive them as such based on your own judgement.

All humans have greedy, but sometimes it can bring good luck Roll Eyes
But, you should able to control your greed, so you won't regret in future

Agree!

Don't regret if you lose because you're the one and nothing else who decide to do that.

Like today , because of my greedyness (Correct the spelling for me Tongue) to get some of my loss last GAME 1 of the NBA finals , I bet double to CAVS for GAME2 today and they win. Im happy and feeling lucky. Smiley

Those degens are driven by their greed, some people are very greedy tbh and never had enough of it thus when they lose they are curious on why they are losing it which makes them to wager more and try to win back what they have lost therefore resulting them to lose more than the previous

A friend of mine made a solid run from 0.00213 BTC into 0.541 BTC in bitdice but he is so greedy that he let his greed overrun him and thus lost them all the next roll

Maybe you thought he was greedy but perhaps he was just pushing his luck. How does that sound? How can you quantify greed in numbers?

Greed is an adjective to begin with and there is no way to put it into a number for calculations and that would be pointless because Im simply stating an example here  Wink

Code:
pushing luck

This is what most people thought when he is being greed, they dont think they are greedy but they are "trying" to earn more and "trying" to be lucky again. Seriously someone who made a solid run from 0.00213 BTC into 0.541 BTC and keep on trying to "push his luck" ended up busting it all isnt called as a greedy person than I dont know what is

I am not sure you understand what an adjective is.

Right, I am wrong on this. Greedy is an adjective while greed is a noun , pardon me for this because English is not my native language  Wink

Nevertheless lets leave the noun or adjective argument there but you seem to not be getting my main point there because it would not be needed to quantify greed in number as it will be pointless .
Also that my main point is that Im stating an example on how greed could ruin you , basically people should learn to control his greed because greed is one of the factor that could make you lose in gambling

P.S : and of course you as a gambler yourself would know this stuff Smiley

being greedy is in the nature of all human beings. you just have to use your head, and not let your greed guide you in making decisions.

being greedy is not always a bad thing, always wanting more can make you achieve more bigger goals. but you always have to use your head, and judgement to try not to make stupid decisions which might make you regret them afterwards.

It happened to me. I had a small loss, chased it and lost big enough. And over than I lost all my balance which was enough on my accidental max bet at PD. I quit gambling.  Cry
