The international post promotion initiative started by Jet Cash is now live. You will need to be a member of the Fit to Talk English project, and your post will need to be approved by the tutors there. New members who don't have English as a first language are especially welcome. You will need to make a well thought out and interesting post about Bitcoin or crypto-currencies. The tutors will then vet your post, and work with you to improve your English. If the resulting post is approved, then you can post that in the Bitcoin Talk forum, and you will get full credit for the post. You are also guaranteed to receive merit for the final post.

This is very useful information you gave away to me. May you blessed for being selfless with such information to others

It is truly hard to rank up in this forum…But it is for its quality, before you reach up high, you will need to step one by one to some like ladderized position, you need to reach or require some requirements like how many posts you need, how many merits you need and you need to post a valuable one which of course to help others in this forum and inform new knowledge to others. As other said no easy money here, you need to sweat before you harvest your fruitful work.

I do not think Merit is hard to get , as long as you have knowledge, constructive, and valuable post to contribute  of this forum, it is possible to get Merit easily ,and to rank your position up.

I am replying to your comment so i can come back and see how easy it is for you in a few months time. I have seen a lot of people who make very educative posts but are still at zero.
There has been rumours that some people are hoarding the merits so that others do not rank up and take higher positions for the bounty campaigns. How true this is i do not know but i can tell you a lot of people with hundreds of good posts are still struggling to rank up

I am also a newbie here and it is hard in my part to gain merit that easily. I am still on processing to progress more information and gain more quality and valuable post to conquer that called merit. Thus, it is just my opinion on how to get merit easily.

Just enjoy and read more information and comment that is suitable to the topic or thread so that you will gain any merits.

A little bit hard to gain merits but if you have the point and everyone or someone likes your comment or any thread you post you will get merits on it.

Never felt hard to me, maybe because I never thought about it. What's so special about merit, anyway? Just keep improving yourself and eventually someone will notice you, I do noticed that merits are normally given for the first commentaries or people that starts topics! So here is a hint, make your topic original or very helpful, anything is fine, we are here to share our knowledge after all.

I don't think that it is difficult to earn merit points because if you are sharing your knowledge with others then other members would definitely give you merits if they find it valuable. However, this feature is still new as compared to the age of forum and thus it will take some more time to inculcate the habit of giving and receiving merit to improve the overall quality of the content. The best way for us is to share our knowledge in a best possible way and others will definitely appreciate it today, tomorrow or even after a year in the form of giving the merit points.

Very very hard, almost impossible. I got just 5 in 5 months, like 1 per month on average. Getting another 135 to rank up would take me 11+ years  Grin

Then some smartass can rank up his/her friend or alt in 1 week just because theymos gave away tons of merits to senior+ members naively hoping they will do some good to the forum and help merit sources. Now we have literally thousands of merit sellers/exchangers.

But the merit system will stay nevertheless and the only way to rank up is to write useful articles yourself (don't even think of copying it from somewhere else, you'll be banned straight away if caught).

I'm just thinking also how to get this merit,  but I realize that maybe this is for those  who have a quality post and to those who have a high rank only, because mostly I saw some member that has a merit is high rank.

It's true, rank requirements right now is different than before due to MERIT SYSTEM implemented by the admin himself.
Ranking up will be difficult but you will still rank up by completing the rank requirements if you work hard for it. Just go to META BOARD and read the stickies there about Merit and rank requirements or visit this

Hahaha look on the black market I think you can search for Merit!!! Hahaha
Seriously , don't focus on merit earning... focus on your learning...

I strongly agree with that. as a newbie if we keep on focusing to get those merits and creating quality posts and keep on asking on how do we get one without even having the knowledge about everything is just a waste of time. i think we should focus more on learning and understanding things in here and the merit will just follow, because if we are knowledgeable enough we can construct things in an easy way. we should focus more on studying perhaps.

it is very difficult on this forum these days because of the greed that exist among some members over here. These days you will hear that why should I give someone a merit when I can give it to an altcoin he/she is managing. Nevertheless, there are some good and warm hearted senior members who still give merits based on quality of posts

It is pretty hard to rank up because of the merits point system, once you get to the point where you have to reach a certain number of merits to rank up it starts to get more complicated. You will really need to try and post something valuable in order to get these merits. Because, not everyone gives away merits easily matter of fact they barely give them away Roll Eyes

I believe that now to receive merits to raise the rank from Full member to Sr. Member you need to be some good bounty manager or a famous person with nice posts on this forum

Can I give you a few tips. I didn't read all of your posts because of the structure and repetition.

Don't include full quotes, unless it is really necessary. It builds up your post, and the thread. You don't need to quote if you are close to the original post, a simple reference will do.

You don't need to use 'sir' on an informal board like this.

Replying to each post in an individual post bulks up the thread, and makes it look as if you are spamming for activity.

I am not the best story teller but i am a very lovely person so i hope i meek multitude with a lot of kindness to offer

Truth be told, it does sounded difficult especially for lower rank members which is essential for them to rank up and frustrating to see Hero or Legendary members who are not too bothered about ranking up get flooded with merits with their posts but just like someone have rightly said, its not impossible. I have seen a member ranked individual already with enough merit to get full member and it keeps increasing.

An advice to you and everyone is to understand what they are doing differently and put some serious thoughts into posts and before you know it it will start coming with people noticing you and if you are convinced you are putting your best, apply to merit giving threads and you are sure to be reviewed.

That's it!
You should search those users and get links to their profiles.
Next step, you should create your list (might use excell, or something else) to save those ones to your list.
Next time, when you want to visit to their profile page and get their last posts, just copy and paste their profile links into your web brower.
For guideline on using the forum search, here you go:
[Tips] Guide for forum search

How do i follow the people you mentioned? I may sound ignorant but it is not the intention. I have not seen any follow button. Or do you mean seach them on the platform and keep following what they post?

In addition, you should also avoid using pyramid quotes (or over-quoting in other words).
Here is my topic, which you can read to get helpful tips.

I have heard that is is very hard for people to rank up in here. How true is this?
Shitposters will never rank up with merit system and new rank requirements, believe me. Those sort of shitty users will only rank up if they abuse the system through merit exchanges, merit business, etc. Abusing like this will put their accounts under high risk of punishments (such as red tags, bans, etc.).

For your interest, you should improve yourself first to become a constructive user in the forum.
You should also follow 'famous' users, who ranked up after the launch of  merit system and learn from them (iasenko, zentdex, hugeblack, nullius, alias, slient26, etc.).

Best regards,

Thank you for this useful and wonderful reply. I have rather a silly question to ask. i hope you will understand.

It is not much hard if you have patience and good writing skills, you would definitely rank up.
Your aim should only be to make quality and constructive posts and merits would come your way. Help the forum community and don't just focus to rank up your account.

Thank you sir. I believe its doable looking at your merits you have. I will believe in it that one day i will make it.

Well as of right now its very hard, but doable, you basically need to make good quality posts that are helpful to people. And yes while its difficult even then, the thing is this system sort of became necessary during the November December run as you ended up having massive number of people making spam posts to increase their ranks for bounties.

Even now that would still happen because you also need a certain number of posts to rank up the next level

It's a bit difficult but not impossible. You need to create quality contents in order to receive merits (A point the you received from members).

'm hoping that this system will increase post quality by:
 - Forcing people to post high-quality stuff in order to rank up. If you just post garbage, you will never get even 1 merit point, and you will therefore never be able to put links in your signature, etc.
 - Highlighting good posts with the "Merited by" line.

While we will not be directly moderating this, I encourage people to give merit to posts that are objectively high-quality, not just posts that you agree with.

Do not beg for merit excessively.

I suggest read the whole post not on the quoted post above.

Additionally, I would like to add this (below) too for you.
