I have won many bets in gambling but none of those winning were significant enough to change my life in anyway. I still win some bets and mostly I enjoy the won amount as it's also a way of entertainment for me.
Same here, it only changed my life for one day as I acted like I was a one-day millionaire, lol. Money coming from gambling should be spent because we don't win most of the time, so we have to celebrate when we have the opportunity to get lucky. I won a big amount in the past, but if I were to total my losses and wins, I'm still negative. So, I should not take it seriously as it will only disappoint me.

However, if in future I get a significant win then surely I'll invest the 50% of that won amount into Bitcoin so I can retire early when it reaches $1M per coin.
That's a big dream but it's not impossible though. I also hope bitcoin will reach $1 million but I don't think I'll have to rely my luck on gambling before I decide to invest.

However, I see it as a wrong mentality towards gamble wins because if we look back from when we started gambling till date before the big wins, you will realize that it is not free win but the money that you have being losing to gamble has come back to you, and it will make you take advantage of your wins and invest it.
although thinking like that is quite correct, but I will not use thinking like that in my gambling. victory is still a victory, and defeat will remain defeat. it was a different round.
if I consider all the games and bets I make like that, then all that happens is chasing victory. I would rather enjoy however I will spend the money from winnings. and come again to play with new episodes.
But there are also friends of mine who will spend any winnings just to bet again. I once admonished him not to do that, but it seems like his gambling satisfaction lies in how long he plays. nothing could be done, as long as he didn't regret anything.

This will be more for those who already have tasted what it means to win a very big amount of money in gambling, not for those who are still aspiring for such an opportunity, though it doesn't mean we cant plan and prepare ahead prior the time when ours will come, most of those who won big in gambling needed up wasting the money and got broke back because they never planned for it, ours should not be the same way, we have to prepare ahead and use our money wisely on profitable investments.
But the bitter truth about gambling money is that it actually tastes different as it brings out the other character and sometimes this shallow mentality of the money being free money keeps playing on your mind and that's why most people who experience the bigs never really think twice before spending the money thinking that there is still plenty where the one they are spending came from.
Free money like you said will make one spend recklessly without reserve because he did not work hard to get the money. The mindset will always be there that you will win more and with that orientation the gambler will lose control on spending his wins.

However, I see it as a wrong mentality towards gamble wins because if we look back from when we started gambling till date before the big wins, you will realize that it is not free win but the money that you have being losing to gamble has come back to you, and it will make you take advantage of your wins and invest it.

I have won an amount that I was able to use to buy an airforce one Nike sneakers and I was very happy with what I did with the money even though I do lavish some of my wins.

Hope your big wins, did not just go back into the casinos.  Wink

I usually spend small winnings to get back into betting at the casino. As for bigger wins, I rarely get them, maybe we could call them the biggest wins for every gambler, which of course is different. I will withdraw and spend it. it can run out or leave little to continue the game.
I don't think there's anything wrong with returning to play after winning. even with the winning results that we have obtained. in fact, we will also return to betting regardless of whether we make a withdrawal for our enjoyment or not.
You are similar to me in my gambling expedition, I do not believe it is an avenue where I will make wealth, so I wager little, especially in my casino betting. For this, there is no way I can make a huge return, but I am okay with it. After all, if I did not risk too much, I couldn't lose too much as well. Still, there are times that despite not expecting anything big, the luck will shine on us, that's a big payday for us even if it is not more than $150, we can still do something reasonably with it.

But in my case, I hardly withdraw money from my casino accounts when I win, and the reason is that I do not want to stress myself depositing and withdrawing all the time. Imagine if I withdraw all my winnings now and still come back the next day to redeposit again, that is stressful and not cost-effective because no one will pardon me for the transaction fee. However, if I have enough in the account, I might just withdraw about 30% of it and continue wagering the 70%. By this, I can't be under any compulsion to redeposit quickly.

The winner will want to win more and the loser will want to get back the money they lost . Indeed , controlling greed and emotions in gambling is not easy and I don't see many people who will be able to do it .

I believe that most of us gamblers have a plan to withdraw money after winning big and leave a little to continue playing, this is quite a common plan . But one thing I see is that when people lose the remaining money, they tend to deposit more money to continue playing, so if we cannot control our greed, withdrawing money will not have much effect . So let's focus on controlling our emotions and controlling our greed instead of thinking that withdrawing money is a good plan, IMO.
That's normal if they wants to do like that because their greediness will comes and telling them to keeps playing gambling without thinks that they already gets what they wants. They must remember that winning in gambling is difficult and not many people will gets their luck and wins much  money. They must realizes that is their chance to change their life to better with that wins money so they can have another source of income.

If they can't control themselves and tend to keeps playing gambling, they will see that they don't have a big chance to wins more money because that will depends on their luck. That's why if we wins much money or hit the jackpot, we must quit gambling immediately and not thinks to keeps playing gambling and chase more winning. We can use that money for many things and even we can build a new business that can generates more money to us.

You're on a roll, turning a lucky break into a business. I admire that hustle. Quickly gained money disappears. Passive income sounds great, but chance determines your fate. You learned about risk and experienced the deadly dopamine thrill of gambling

Turning a gamble into a launchpad takes balls. You need guts and an eye for opportunities. The gambling world isn't all evil. It teaches risk assessment, timing, and calculated moves, which are useful in real life. While winning large is great, the ultimate flex is developing a solid foundation without gambling. Don't relax now that you have a safety net. Keep growing and pushing boundaries. Taking no chances is the biggest risk. Make those wins a financial empire, not simply bragging rights

When it comes to gambling, the rule of thumb is not to let the winnings get to your head no matter what because they second these do...one gets reckless to the point of thinking luck is on their side and one gets to risk even more before you know it you are chasing losses for poor risk management...

Otherwise personally I don't like to keep tabs on my winnings because I don't want to be blinded by the $$$ but crypto wise, I can say I have won't a whole Bitcoin from a small stake and won it from some pool competition but that was a small amount when price was low but that's the target at current price.
Yeaah... But with a big win it can make them become arrogant, thinking that by increasing the bet they can win again this is a mindset that gamblers often experience where they believe that with a large bet the multiples will be high, it becomes a trap that in the end will realize after the end of the game loses all the money that has been won.

The process of gambling games is like this if they forget to withdraw immediately to secure it... They will not think that the dollar becomes big because what they want is to play with high stakes because there is already more capital.

Of course, winning can be a trap for gamblers, especially for those who are really enthusiastic about responding to the win they have just got, and also especially for those who really make winning a priority in their gambling involvement. The trap that is meant is yes, they will experience an increase in interest and hope regarding winning in gambling, continue the session expecting a larger amount of winnings and in the end be disappointed and regretful when it turns out the results are not suitable, and of course this is the beginning where someone will lost control and tried to make another deposit in the hope of getting back his previous winnings, but it was too late.

In the end, instead of winning, you end up losing everything along with your initial capital amount. This means that winning is not difficult, but sometimes it is the gamblers' behavior that causes them to lose their winnings again. On the other hand, you have a good strategy, friend, by first cashing in all your initial capital and continuing the gambling session with the profit amount, that's good, because even though for example in the next session you lose, you only lose the profit from the previous session when you win.
Unfortunately, it goes both ways. For someone with no self-control or responsibility, the result will probably be the same. Just like you said, winning isn't impossible. I have this specific friend who always loses, but that's because he can't put a stop to it. He'll deposit €20, play a few games, and grow his balance up to €60. Instead of withdrawing the €40 in profit, he'll continue, but this time with larger bets. The result is usually losing all of it, and it's something I've seen with my own eyes.

The issue is that with these amounts that some would call "minor,"  the gambler rarely takes them into consideration because it's just €20 or €30, not that big of a deal. If you look at the bigger picture, you lose that amount of money on a weekly basis, and it's a significant loss.

When I started gambling a few years ago, I won a pretty big amount of money and that opened new doors for me to pursue new business ventures. Some of these ideas panned out and some flopped miserably, but I still managed to generate some money from the the ventures that were successful.

I now have something that can generate some "passive" income and something that needs a lot of my time and attention, but overall it improved my quality of living and it encouraged me to follow my dreams.

I still gamble, but not as much as I did before... because time management has become an issue. This will not secure my retirement, but it gives me some freedom to experiment with more ideas. (I still need to work between 8 to 10 hours per day.... and weekends, but I have something to fall back on, if something bad happens)

Hope your big wins, did not just go back into the casinos.  Wink

I'm glad this happened to you. It sounds good and positive because it didn’t end badly. It is also nice to discover that you are not currently active in gambling.
I wanted to make one really significant bet for me, which I will remember for a long time. I entered a big amount for me into the Philadelphia - Brooklyn match after the second quarter. The teams were not very active and I bet that both teams would score less than 199.5 points. I came in after the match and saw that these teams scored a total of 199. If they had scored one point, I would have lost. Then that victory was really significant for me

You work very hard for lerson whose life has been changed by winning  Grin It seems to me that in any more or less adequate country, working so much you should have a lot.
As for me personally, I still haven’t won a really big amount that would change my life, but I hope that if this happens I will be more oriented towards generating passive income.

I don't remember casino win that really changed my lifestyle which mean I didn't win any big amount. Roll Eyes

It's good that you did something productive with the money you won either it's investment or business but lot of people will chose to gamble more with the money they have won and the end up losing everything again.

It's not good idea for gambling to change our life but if it happens, then just accept it and make it worth something.

Yes, and indeed that is the best thing that all gamblers should do when they win, namely to use the proceeds from their winnings for whatever they need in life, for example to fulfill everything they need at that time. There is nothing better than just that decision, because if you don't move quickly to cash out and use it, then of course there is a possibility that you will suffer the same fate as other gamblers who end up losing all the money they have previously won.

So far, yes, I also have a fate that is probably more or less the same as you, where I have never gotten something very significant like other people, it could be because of the luck factor which is difficult to get, or because of my gambling style, because usually in gambling When I gamble using capital of $10, for example, when it grows to $40 - $50, I immediately withdraw it, because that amount is more than 2x my initial capital.
It's a pitfall most gamblers fall into. Don't feel bad and blame yourself in case you're put in that position; you won't be the first one nor the last one to blow your winnings away. Withdrawing and leaving your initial deposit is sometimes the best strategy for retaining your earnings. I'll deposit $40, put them towards a football game, win $60, withdraw these, and leave the initial $40 intact. So far, it has been the safest strategy I've come up with. If I end up losing my balance, I'll simply deposit back some of my earnings, it's inevitable.

The difference is from some people who have said it here related to the victory of the casino. I have never experienced a victory with a fantastic nominal money. If I am not forbidden to dream as if I am one of the winners of gambling in a fantastic amount, then I will use the money for other activities that can bring in me income without having to return to gamble. But unfortunately, it never happened to me so that in gambling that I did not target to become rich but for reasons to enjoy challenges and opportunities.
Thw chances of winning huge gambling is always not a normal, except for a few lucky ones who occasionally win such but he the greater crowd are either loosing or winning in bits, it's the dream of almost every gambler to want to win huge at certain point but then not al dreams can come through at same time especially not with the casinos. Nobody is forbidden to dream to becoming a winner gambling, especially with huge amounts, you still have the power and choice to use your money for whatever it is you wish to until you have used it to place a stake then somehow you loose that privilege.

In my case in the past when I started gambling, I was lucky enough to win more than 10x the amount I had deposited and lost. But it wasn't an amount of money that would allow me to do any business in my country, but it still made me very happy because I was able to buy something I wanted. and then there were some victories that also allowed me to buy some things in my country. The fact is that I never had a big victory that could allow me to create a business in the real world. That's why I focus on playing with little money and if I make any profit I save it, until one day I can have my business in the real world. because in my country to open a company I need the person to have a lot of money. placing sports bets does not give you big wins, unlike playing casino games. but as I like sports betting, I prefer to continue only with sports betting

There's nothing wrong to keeps playing gambling after winning but we must have good self control to holds ourselves to playing gambling excessively. There will be a tend to chase the big wins especially if our greediness increase and we can't stop from playing gambling. We must prevents to chase the big wins especially if we already wins before so we just needs to enjoy the wins money.

The winner will want to win more and the loser will want to get back the money they lost . Indeed , controlling greed and emotions in gambling is not easy and I don't see many people who will be able to do it .

the fate of gambling in a casino is still uncertain. You may be lucky enough to be able to immediately roll over your winnings into a real sector that makes more sense in terms of income, but most gamblers are not as lucky as you to get out of the casino and try to build something real out there.

If the situation is the same and I am indeed lucky to get the jackpot then I will also do the same thing to develop the business from these results to a more reasonable sector. The point is that the big wins you get are not delayed in being used, in fact some of the people I often meet after big wins often return to the casino rather than go out to enjoy it.
