Hello everyone,
I am Tuyen, 31 years old, from Vietnam, a developing country.
I would like to share how I was deceived and had my assets taken away by scammers.
The amount of money I lost was approximately $120,000, an amount that I could never earn with a monthly salary of $1000, even if I worked my entire life.
If you are reading my article then please watch the entire video because it will help me a lot.
You can see details at link: https://youtu.be/HDSWzDnpyn0

Thanks a lot

I really don't know if I should believe this or not, because it some how not true to me. Let's be realistic here... $120k? I can't see this guy losing such amount just like that, OP how come about this?
Saw the video you dropped but I can't get it together and from the looks of things you was having a fun time with whosoever "scammed" you.  You don't have to be too comfortable with any unknown user on telegram, I think that's why you go hit. Take heart OP, you can rebuild again.

Based on Gladiator's summary above [very much thanks for that, I don't think I am going to watch a video-evidence too] the scammer or whoever that is who contacted you, doesn't have an account here? And you basically has zero pieces of information to track them?

seems like OP doesn't have any info except the scammer's obvious fake telegram name.

And on that case, sadly, there's nothing this forum and this thread can do other than serving as a warning to others [though, to be blunt and quite harsh, this scam is a common and an already well-known practice, as OP himself stated on his video]. We can't pursue the scammers or have any leverage on them to persuade them to return OP's fund.

You are right and I am curious to know why OP is not providing any more info and why not respond with the commenters on the topic. It was a requirement by several persons about the written content instead of the video but Op has not written the content until now. Though OP is active but there is no co-ordination.

First of all OP, I am very sorry for your loss coming from someone who knows how losing money feels like(I lost huge amount of money because of my addiction to gambling.), I will give opinion outside of the financial side. You wake up everyday and your legs give; you just don't even want to walk anymore. You wake up everyday, angered at yourself,  you fight with people around you, you go into addictions, you become a different person. Stop now and take some deep breaths. Life is not all about money, go work hard and pay your debt, I still am; but you decide to be happy or not; I feel happy and cherish my days in this world. Not everything is money. Use this loss as an expensive lesson which both changes your business mindset and life mindset. You are not here forever, money is not the most important goal in this world. I was thinking like this until life hit me, I lost grandpa 5 days ago, saw him one last time; did my responsibilities and say farewell to him. Guess what I saw, our time will come one day, don't dwell on your past; keep working and you will recover. Don't dwell on youtube, you won't make it there, and this forum cannot help you sadly because of tg being anonymous. Who can help you? Yourself, be smarter, work harder, and you will make out of the rock bottom one day.

They say,

Ad astra , per Aspera. (From rocks to stars)

Stay well,

thanks for summarizing it.

Stranger ask to invest in Huobei and then another exchange (scam) to withdraw direct into bank. At first this guy invest 50$ and withdraw successful and then 100$,1k ,10k and everything goes well. After that this guy borrowed money from friends with interest and he deposited more than 100k$ and now he is not able to withdraw.
this is pretty much Identical to a scam I have seen before, I personally know several people who have been scammed like this and each of them lost thousands in our currency. I am guessing that he was encouraged to invest more money every time the withdrawal went through(just like how the poeple I know told me how they were encouraged to invest more after every successful withdrawal).

This guy now looking to make money through youtube, Facebook and TikTok and created youtube channel and ask in video to help him with sharing.
if the OP really plan on making money through these platforms, he needs to create good content, asking people to share his video isn't really gonna help him if he doesn't have content that people want to watch.

The victim seem to have a twisted mind just what users here have discovered. I symphatized for awhile thinking he was lured into sending money but it seem like he was the first to talk to this Smith girl as @albon had screenshot it. He wants to profit from the USDT sale and turned out he lost it all.

Now he wants to make money with these videos, Jesus OP has gotto become victim for this goal.

When I hear that you said this, I immediately closed the video.
"Currently, in my country there are many online scammers and these are their common methods"

You already said that these are their "COMMON" methods, and yet, you fell for it. I might say some harsh words to you, but I don't know if you're just dumb, or just ignorant knowing that the way they scammed you are considered "VERY COMMON" already. Why did you trust a stranger? Why did you gave that huge amount of money to a stranger? I can't even give even just a small amount to a random online person, but you gave $120,000 to a scammer? Maybe you fell for the picture the scammer has used. Cheesy

Kidding aside, I just hope that you're still ok, and I hope you will recover from this one. I can feel in the way you're talking in the video the pain that you are going through currently. Take care, and if what all of you said are true, I hope that you learned from what happened. Experience really is very expensive. Cheesy

I have no intention to watch your video though I have got summery by Gladitorcomeback. I think you are not doing anything and you will get nothing because the accused user/site has no account on the forum. I think if the story of you is real then you should go to legal action. And I am surprised that you have created the account on the forum in 2017 and your first post on this forum is in 2023!!!

Short story which happened to this Youtuber:.
Someone contacted him through telegram and start friendly discussion and then this friendly discussion convert into business discussion. Stranger ask to invest in Huobei and then another exchange (scam) to withdraw direct into bank. At first this guy invest 50$ and withdraw successful and then 100$,1k ,10k and everything goes well.
I am sorry for what happened to you, and I hope that your experience will be an opportunity for more people not to be scammed, but any service that gives you your money without doing anything or makes fast profits is too good to be true.
Can we do something to support you?
This is a sad story, I really feel for him too. I pray as you said people should learn from his mistake because some times the issue of money go beyond this, talking of helping him now, this money is not small amount of money the money is huge, I think what someone can do to help him is to share his video maybe a philanthropist will come across it and help him

I am sad to hear your story, Tuyen, but be strong enough. And I hope that your friends from whom you borrowed the money are okay, and I hope that you will make every effort to return the loans to them, as they are not at fault in this.

The police claim that it is very difficult to return the money. Does this indicate that you do not have enough information about this scammer? Did this scammer mistakenly provide sensitive information about himself or anything else that could be used??

----------

When I saw the screenshot of your video, I thought it was the scammer "Smith Gabriella" who DMed You first, but I found out that you were the one who started the DM. {What is the explanation for this?)

Yes, I agree with what you wrote below on the screenshot of your video. I can say that I receive 2-3 accounts throughout the week from scammers who have pictures and names of women and start messaging me and then try to build trust, but I know their methods, so I block and report without even responding to them. I am sorry to hear that you (allegedly) lost $120,000, but I have no intentions to watch 11 minutes video to hear how you lost the money. Instead, you should briefly explain here what happened as that's what forums are for.

The guy seems so depressed right now bro he'll have a hard time writing a long explanation I wish he should in the coming days when he is sober, I understand that he just borrowed the money and that's what really hurts, I just fast tract the video to see if he really got scam and based on what I saw he really is he even shown his online account he admitted he almost committed suicide glad he controlled himself, I hope his family can watch this video in times like this we need our family's comforting words.

He can recover that money in the future in different ways he should not lose hope, I don't know what I do if that happened to me, things like this made me aware to always be on guard of our funds and secure them and educate ourselves so we will not fall to these scammers.

What will all transpired is in meeting a strange person chatting you up on social media and before you know it you're giving him audience and attention, this is one of the first things we do that gives scammers the entrance to launch their attack omnus, when you don't give a stranger attention, how will he from where he was be able to attack you if not that you go too simple and vulnerable to them.

Your monthly salary of $1,000 is considered good in Vietnam and making you relatively wealthy. This means you can start a project or a business to begin paying off your debts to the bank and your friends.

I don't want to discourage the OP but having to set up a business with the time investment and risk involved just to pay back the money would feel like climbing a high mountain for me. There are people who have dug themselves into deeper holes and came out but I wouldn't want to be in his situation.

It's a valuable lesson for everyone to learn from your story but don’t wait anyone to help you probably the opposite and some people will contact you and try to scam you again so be careful.

I'm sorry for what happened to you but glad to see you are staying strong.

This is the most important thing, above all stay strong and be careful never to fall into a scam again, then gradually get out of the hole as far as he can.

Thanks for saving my time watching that video and writing this summary of what happened to OP.

First of I feel regret but why people still believe stranger where  telegram scamming is now become so old and everybody should be aware of it. Second borrowing money for trading is always bad especially when you couldn't returned in case of lost.

What message you want to gives, if you are the real person who scammed? or just helping him with sharing?
Mainly, it's because of greed. When a victim is already shown to be gullible, these scammers will be patient on them at least with this scamming tactic that's been done to him. They will take his trust and build rapport through conversations and with little withdrawals that he'll request. And when they think that they've found a gold mine, they will not be vocal about it until they are scammed. Sorry for OP but if the amount is for real, that's a huge mistake that you've made and all you need to do is to start over. There's still always hope for it but it is unlikely you'll recover that money from the person who scammed and fooled you.

In the end this (apparent) scam is based like many others on exploiting basic emotions of the scammed, such as greed.

I believe that his story is true since he showed us the borrowed money from his bank along with all the transactions from the exchanger and the scam platform he got scammed by. Unfortunately all of this happened due to his greed as you said. If he had just searched for details about what he was doing or questioned why that guy didn't apply that arbitrage strategy instead of sharing it with a stranger, he would have easily realized he was getting scammed. Scammers target people who combine greed with little knowledge about crypto which they think it’s the easiest way to get rich.

We have similar cases and warnings about these types of scam exchanges in this section i wonder why you didn’t search here before getting scammed.
These kind of scam CEX offer different prices, either higher or lower than any other place in the market, to trick you into signing up, buying coins or tokens in a legit exchanger and attempting to sell them on that fake exchanger. At first you may be able to withdraw small sums, but as soon as you make a bigger deposit you get scammed.

Your monthly salary of $1,000 is considered good in Vietnam and making you relatively wealthy. First, you talked to one of them. Not sure why you would need a friend that you are not connected to at all. If you just need someone to chat with, chat with your siblings and cousins, not someone you only met on a chat. I bet those scammers had been watching your activities online and knew you were a good target.

You were lured to OPN with a 2% commission per sale and you think you can do it the entire time. I can understand you want to make money so you go all in.

They are scammers, lesson learned for getting them back is just next to impossible. Take care of your health.

So the more accurate title would be, "How I lost $120K that I borrowed."

Assuming what he says is true, I don't know what he expects us to do in this forum because if the scammers are exclusively on Telegram from here we can't tag them or anything. Already normal tag them is not much use because it happens after they have scammed and then they do not reappear on the forum.

In the end this (apparent) scam is based like many others on exploiting basic emotions of the scammed, such as greed.
