Having a strong community is very vital in running an ICO and maintaining it after. When it comes to bounty, there will be no participants if there is no community. No one will join signature campaigns so there is also no one to promote it. There will be no investors in ICO and developers may not develop any coin because there is no one to buy.
When it comes to trading, there will be no one to buy tokens that we are selling and there will be no other people who will sell their coins. So crypto / tokens / coins will be like stagnant water.
