In this forum merit is really important specially if you are wanting to move-up to the next rank. the number of merits will be the determining factor for you to rank up and for you to get merit you need to make your post helpful and meaningful to the reader for them to give you that and in that way if you reach the merit that is needed then you can proceed to the next rank.
Merit is very valuable to me, with the merit then the post / thread that I create can be more value. If in the old days, although we made a good post / thread, but we did not get anything, we might just get the praise only.

We all know since the merit system started, merit becomes valuable as some other things, because merit is one of two major factors for us to rank up.
So I just wanna know how important is merit for you? And If you compare merit with any other things, what it is?
