This is very saddening for all of us especially that when the coin had its peak price, we were very excited about it and have been thinking of profit ever since. It is easy to say that we should not be affected by this and must continue believing in bitcoin but in reality, some of us are really on edge of hodling.
Well if people became interested only because of the 2017 run then they have all the reason to be disappointed. They're interest is anchored on a very shallow understanding. People who got in for the wrong reasons without proper research are also to blame why we're in such a mess right now.

I also have the same hopes as you, many say if in 2019 the price of bitcoin will recover. I don't know whether it will really happen or not, but I really hope it will happen.

Actually it depends on you. If you choose to use altcoin for a short term investment or use bitcoin for a long investment. This year 2018, the market price of bitcoin is critically red and all of us are disappointed of a deep fal of the price. But still before this year end we are hopimg to rise it but if its not then lets look forward to 2019 to the price of bitcoin.
Its hard to predict whether bitcoin is going up or down next year, the chances are 50-50 but most of the speculation will be uptrend, don't expect there will be hype and huge rising like 2017, the situation already change, but I am positive 2019 will be a good year for crypto, don't too focus on alt because most of the alt got a short life period, focus on strong crypto like btc eth and xrp

Yes the year of 2018 is really the worst year for bitcoin and also for other currencies which people canot earn easily money through trading or investing, but you are right to say that from the next year or from the year of 2018 we have good expectation and it will be a very good year for crypto currency.

Bitcoin is down for almost a year since its price start to fall last January this year and it keep falling till the bottom is reached. But I believe that bitcoin take time to recover so it's better to put your coins into long term and wait for its recovery. The top coin is now below $4000 and still declining after some price uptick and this might continue till early next year if there is no major developments in the crypto world.
Price of the bitcoin for now is very low and I think it will decrease the value is normal because price is not always increase. But the happening right now is not good because price continue falling value and I think if it's not stop that it will not increase value again.

it looks like the condition of bitcoin prices this year is experiencing a decline in prices and maybe this is the worst condition in the history of bitcoin price movements because the price of bitcoin from the price of $20k fell to the price of $5k and it is very terrible that many traders are stuck at high prices.
Bitcoin can never retain its highest position for the whole year. It will get down and increase up in different time frames. So many factors are affecting like supply and demand and promotions and government behaviors and banks policies. Hence, we can’t expect bitcoin to retain the price it has in last year.
