I will never ask my kids to earn money or bitcoin at this stage, rather I would insist them to concentrate on their studies as they have rest of their life to earn money.
Yes in this stage please don't bring them in this Bitcoin world. We teach them only good way how to make money in Bitcoin but later once they grown up it will lead them to addict gambling. Yes if they play gambling with that coins we can not get to know untill they tell us right so better avoid in this stage. Any how in future they only learn how to make money here.

i think that if he just take a couple hours a day earning some satoshis without rush, just for gain, i mean, whitout any kind of greed in his task it dont have to be harmful for him, whatever the kid¿s age is.

Better gain some satoshis than lost time playing in the computer or looking porn ;P  or whatever the young boys do in this days.

But, if he starts with some greedy feeling or with some rush for gain a BTC as soon possible it could be dangerous because it may affects his social live (if he haves one) and his school performance.

I think that you can do it, but with a parental supervission.

Cheers

Children should be taught to manage money and especially how this is earned. Experience would really make them run the business with more effect. As we teach children many other things, its really necessary to teach them what is really needed in future to run their life and live with lots of wealth and fame.

Easiest way for children and newbies to earn is ofcourse through basic faucets. But consider first the age of your child

i think the easiest way for kids to earn bitcoins might be just claiming from faucets and solving captcha

It is indeed a simple and can be done by everyone, but to get the Bitcoin with sufficient amount, then takes a very long time. so it would be a waste of time. You can provide assistance for long-term trade (investment/saving) it only takes a little bit and not draining

My kid wants to make some money.

I never cared much of those easy systems but seems it would work for him.

I gave him 2 faucets but i ALSO remember there was servers/games where one could make Bitcoin [or altcoin] just for playing.

Would you remind ?

Yeah, faucets are good for kids, atleast they will earn by just typing. But there a lot of games out there where it can be used for bitcoin generations but the bitcoins that you will earn from there are not that big compared here at btc talk.Smiley

If you want him to focus on faucets, I would recommend that he and his friends signup for a faucet with a referral system and then have them compete to see who can get the most people to signup with their referral link to that faucet. I did this as a experiment with my kids and they nearly signed up the whole school and even the teachers and the parents. < Ask the teacher to make it a class project for entrepreneurship >

Once they have built up a big referral network, they will get passive income from that and he can then spend more time on his homework and being a kid. ^smile^
there are allot of places where you can play games to earn bitcoins or other things for kids but dont think it is really good for kids to play for gold because they cant handle it yet.

Yeah, but that would pay really little and may discourage them from doing any more activities of that sort because they don't like manual labour. They'd rather play games in their spare time instead.

Sig campaign? They can get involved with the community while earning BTC.

No offense but instead of suggesting your kids these silly things like earning pennies from playing games all day and wasting their time on faucets, IMHO, you should tell them to focus on their studies and develop talents that'll help them make a real career in future.

Agreed. Whip 'em until they learn at least 3 coding languages, then have them write code for BTC

How are you old this kid?
i guess you know best as parent.
If you things old not enough you can push for focus on school.  Smiley
yeah better tell your little child to go to school or playing.. because it is their time? do not force them to make money
because it is the duty of adults. may not be a problem if you get around their game with a game that resulted in bitcoin Cheesy good ide #imo

Exactly educated parents will ask their kids to concentrate on studies and have fun, they will never force their kids to earn the  money at this little age and if they does then only God can help them.
If a kid will learn to earn money at a young age would sometimes brings bad to the child because instead on focusing in studies he will divert his attention in making money, the fact that they are kids and they have a small satisfaction in terms of amount so it would easy for them to get money. That is just a distraction if you want your kid to be something when he grows up.

You can not really prohibit someone to earn money including kids, when that kids feel happy with looking for bitcoin and still not distress them why not. But never make that activities be a obligation for them. It will be bad for them.

I would give my kid (when he turns to 16+) few BTC coins on his birthday as a gift and teach him how he can earn more with the BTC and add more money to his wallets. I would still have a question that how a kids can understand how Bitcoin works though, it's better to teach them the concepts of saving money by using fiat and piggy banks.

I think they should be guided bitcoin is money so  guidance of  parent is needed or any guardian but  in terms of earning bitcoins you can teach them how to invest or in faucet sites.
I don't think investing in faucet sites is something that kids can do because it actually requires quite a considerable amount of time investment and the complexity of maintaining faucets is just.. complex.

There's a minecraft server that pays in bitcoins for just playing in them and I think they'd like to try that, since Minecraft is a game that can be played by anyone, especially kids.
For sure, Bitcoin will give something for kids, as per my knowledge there are faucets games here, especially easy faucets. The kids can be played. faucets games that are very interested by this age group as well as earning some small amount. They will learn something about the future will rum by online currency.

Yeah and I think that would be fun for them, as faucets and captcha solving doesn't required any high skills and kids can easily do that.

lmao and at the end they will find it boring  Grin Grin btw i think it will depend on how old are your children but if they are supposed to focus on their study it is not advisable to tell them about bitcoin and teach them how to earn it because if they find bitcoin is interesting maybe their focus will be on bitcoin not on their study but if they are already on college maybe they can manage their time or they can handle it without neglecting their study .

if they are only a teenager or below i think it is not a good idea to tell how to earn bitcoin because
if they already know what is bitcoin and they are enjoying to earn because chances are they will forget that they have a responsibilities on their own life especially their study . that's just my opinion .
