You can’t say in advance how long we can endure this bear market. It all depends on our life circumstances and the availability of free time. Although this year can not be called a bear. Bitcoin grew quite well in the second quarter and increased in price by almost four times. There really are problems with the price of altcoins. We do not know when they will finally begin to grow. In any case, in the coming year I am not going to leave the cryptocurrency. It requires perseverance and patience.

I'm seeing more threads like this with people disappointed at the current rate. If y'all teary-eyed now I wonder how you were when it was 3k. It hit 10k weeks ago, if you were trying to short you would have already some profits by now.

If you are a hodler then this shouldn't even faze you. I've witnessed bitcoin at $800, I ain't complaining bout the current $8000.

This has nothing to do with Meta. Please move it.
Anyway no matter how the market is doing 1BTC=1BTC... if you sell, you loose no matter what is the price.
Just have patience, all nice thinks take time... and here we are talking about years.

Is that the longest version of telling yourself you are in panic?
Because it is obvious that you are.

Better calm yourself and look back. This happened before and even the worst had come. We should've already learned from that.
This is just another wave from a dump when people are buying the new one which is being hyped.
They sell their bitcoins in exchange for that and yet in a couple of months they will regret it.

Actually I already sell my coins last few month even if I loss too much. Im desperate for some money I need it for my everyday life. But I've learned some lesson, invest what you can afford to lose and don't invest all of your money in crypto.

The largest majority of my coins were bought at $300+ ...so I reckon I would start getting itchy fingers when I reach that price level, but I would still make a profit on my investment capital, with a price of $0. The reason for this is simple, because I sold some coins at $18 000 at the ATH and I got a 800% profit on those coins. green with my profits for my Bitcoin investments.>

I think the endurance from other people will be determined by the price that they paid for their coins and also how desperate they are to use that money.   Tongue

There's no precise measure to me, I'm holding until I feel comfortable with it
I already have my strategy for long term, I ony have money in cryptos that I can afford to lose
With time you will gain more confidence in BTC, if you are not used to BTC maybe you will be scared at crashes ou downturns, but don't worry, if you are here for long term, you should be fine

I can endure, I`m positive about that. I invest what I can afford to lose, on monthly basis. Now I have alt-coin portfolio that worth
some money, but I don`t rely on that.
It`s important for each person to have more sources of income. I have my job and income from there, this is my hobby and I can
endure for years I believe.

It's funny because bull run has happened and has passed and I was not lucky to make profit between those months. I can only survive 1 year of bear period and I think I could handle another year anymore or I'll be dead. Now we are back to bear mode and I'm still hoping that even there's only a very small chance that there is still going to be an explosive altseason to save me from being broke.

If you have been long enough, I'm sure that this is just another test for investors. People get burned here, get REKT but I'm sure some of this left but majority understands that this is just a challenge because the market is really volatile.

But to be honest, even strong hands here are going to be tested and there will be time that they need to liquidate not because they are afraid, but probably there are more compelling reasons behind for them to sell and wait till the market settles again, and then reinvest.

I think I could endure it and wait till it hits another all time high after all we have seen the worst and I think I could endure it even if it hits another huge dump,
I have survived it so why shouldn't I continue to hold ?
The problem here is how would you manage it ?
Most of us would panic and sell but not for those who truly believes in crypto ,
We are investing for the long term so those dump wouldn't even bother us specially if you wouldn't sell your crypto.

Risky investments are not for everyone, especially if it is a short-term investment and then something like this happens. For some people who invest above or close to $10 000, drop to $8000 can look very dramatic, but patience is key in everything. There is a sales option that results in a loss, but preventing the possible greater loss, or holding until the price is back to the desired level.

In long term Bitcoin always shows positive results, but some may wait a few months, others few years. For those who can wait 5-10 years from now there is a chance that they will profit, but there is also a big risk. One always goes with the other, who does not risk, does not profit.

Hmm, I don't know either. I'm not letting this thing stress me out, I just continue hodling. Right now I considered myself lucky because I don't need huge money thus I don't feel the pressure of bear market so far. Sorry if I can't give an exact answer for your question becaus I can't relate Grin. Anyway, if I assume that I need money right now then probably I'll just withraw the amount I needed I let the rest remain on my wallet hoping the price will rise soon.

We can credit everyone who has endured the last year's bear market and still fit of holding up to this date. It's a long bear market but right now I don't think it's still a bear market. This is like a mental game, the more patient you are the higher chance of surviving the market.

Don't let those bad speculations and predictions let you down. Be firm if you are longing to see the future of bitcoin but it's also fine to sell for some profit, if you are into it, it's also not that bad to cut some losses if you are not comfortable.

About my endurance, I can't say but for now, I can stay for a longer time.

@TIDOVEE I can understand what you’re going through as many of us had expected Bitcoin bulls to return, but instead the bears are back and they’re pulling the prices down. However I’m not thinking anything negative as I’m used to this kind of volatility, today the prices are down but in near future they’ll bounce upwards and we’ll get our rewards for holding bitcoins. As for your question how long can one endure the bear mode, my answer is that I’ll be holding on to my coins until I get my profits I would advise you to do the same.

There are two positions for me. Number one is for traders, where volatility can be extremely lucrative and is not something to fear. Number two is for long-term holders, where the relevant time span is years, and even a long bear market is just a bit of a bump on the upwards road to mainstream adoption and higher prices.

I think a lot of concern about prices and bear markets comes from people who believe strongly in crypto and are long-term holders, but who (myself included here) still find themselves checking the price charts on a daily (or more frequent) basis. If you have good coins, BTC and high-potential alts with solid use-cases, then don't worry about a bear market.

If you have been here for more than three years, surely you have experienced a situation like this and that often happens like in 2018 ago. For me whatever market conditions, I will accept because as far as from my experience crypto moves flowing and I follow flow, whether it's going anywhere.

When crypto goes up, everyone hopes that crypto goes down because they mostly miss train, but conversely when crypto goes down they expect to go up and feel disadvantaged. These are traders who do not enjoy their trade, if they could enjoy it surely they would follow the flow of this market.

For me seeing bearish market is not new anymore since I've been in crypto for years now and im holding some of my coins for long time already (I cant sell because of not improving market condition and prices of my tokens) but I dont ask when this bearish trend be over. When I engaged myself in crypto im aware of the risk when you invest in it so whats currently happening is already in my expectation when the worst scenario happened.

If you truly believe in your coins and crypto in general you'll understand that crypto investment is not easy and it takes a lot of guts and patience to hold on. Sometimes you'll get tired of waiting but thats part of investing.

people who already have principles will hold until they feel that the time to sell them has arrived.
I would add, that those people with some persistence and so called principles, will and in my opinion should, hodl forever.
With inescapable crisis on the horizon, this may prove itself as the only sane solution.
Most of people forgot what sort of game we are playing here. As a reminder: it's a game o bitcoins not fiats.
Goal is and always was, to make the world bow to bitcoin. Global adoption and one world currency. If it's not going to be bitcoin than world bank will force us with some crap of their own. So I choose btc instead.
