It's depends on the potential of the coin . If it has a high potential , I'll hold it for long term , like several years. Otherwise I sell it for quick money as soon as it give me high returns .
I hold my coins until I feel that I do not hold this coin longer, because the price is going down. And must sell loss. Then buy a new coin that may go up. Bcause I'm small trader :v
I stay on the safe side, I don't wait for huge profits. I set my profit according to my need and when it reach to that profit level I sell my coins and I keep on monitoring market. But not for all coins, I hold coins who have big potential for long time..
It all depends on what methods they make money. If you are trading on the stock exchange then everyone has their own strategy. Those who simply earn coins and use them for everyday life in the periods of the landfill do not sell them and wait for the price to recover. This is the best strategy for ordinary users.

Investing or holding some coins is a risking thing. Now try to check your purpose on why you hold coins , You hold coins because you hoping that coin will increase the value , if the coin increase the value then I guess that also the time you must or need to let go and sell your coin to invest to other promising coin.
its all about the trade opportunity as now a days it is hard fork so no one is going to trade the coins. buy low sell when they are high in price

There is no specific time and date when holding as long as the coin keep on rising ill keep on holding i sell but a little bit just to get back my profit. But as long as i can hold ill hold it. I hold my coins long enough. I chose the long-term concept, and I am taking investment for the next 3 years. hope for this when the coins I invest are growing. this will be an advantage for me.

i hold for the longest is trstcoin, i get trst from bounty not trade or buy it . i hold trst almost 6 months and now i'm not take profit from trstcoin 
Okay , the BTC price is not stables in one rate like a month period and the difference is too big so you to keeping coins until you see that rate get points like a little different.

I can not tell you. because this is hard to say. but there are techniques for knowing and learning.
for me, when to sell and buy it takes knowledge and research. not easy indeed. but if you often ask and learn I'm sure you'll understand.
because it requires experience.
some coin maybe cant hold for long day, but i hold my coin until i sell the coin by high price. if price i down, i will wait for some day to see its price normal, if not, i will sell them soon
I hold till it hits my target price and once its done I immediately sell my coins instead of holding too long as if price goes lower then I will miss an opportunity of making good profits at a right time.

It is all a personal strategy, but I like to see the community support on here, reddit, others and then decide if it has legs or not. If not, I sell. If yes, I HODL.
Haven't sold a single one since I first started buying, and I've 15 different cryptos right now.
It depends on which coins I have invested if its potential coin like ethereum then I won't mind in holding it for long term but if I have invested in small coins then I would take advantage from each and every fluctuation by selling it when price goes higher then my entry price.
Most of my coins I intend to hold for long like DO, BTC and ETH. Others I plan to sell, when my planned win comes in. After this hectic week, this may now take some while.
