Many traders and investors see halving as the only hope for another bitcoin bullrun and they expected it occur in the next couple of years. But I believe bitcoin can make a rally even before the halving if there is enough support from big investors. The bear market is still around but not like the same as last year's bear market and might still improve in the next quarters of this year. Bull and bear market occur in cycle so after this bear market, bull will follow and vice versa.
Bitcoin already dropped to 85% from ATH and all altcoin more than 90%, so all crypto already oversold so that mean bear market is ended and now crypto market sideaway for afew month and then will start for bullish again. We will see huge bull market in next year and the price will be going up to new level high.
I think with the current market condition so many markets might end up not surviving the current market Is going to take some serious miracle forsome of those low market to actually make it so investors are kinda just trading what they consider really high value Even the high value are been sold really cheap so my guess is market conditions is really going to take some time
It is unpredictable. If it was predictable, then everyone would make a lot of money. The best thing to do is to avoid trading and watch the market. But, in crypto market there are manipulations in market by big whales. I think this bear market would last long may be a year or two. All we can do is to make a guess and wait for it.
How come nobody backs up their predictions with real concepts about reading the chart??
If you look at the chart, bitcoin currently is not showing much except that it is going down down down down down.
Looks like it is headed for $1000, or maybe less.

I can't guess, when this bear market will end, because every time there is a good change in direction I see the bears taking part in it.
No one can guess because the market moves slowly now. But the bear market will end, you don't need to worry. You only need to keep patient, still trade to make a profit, still hold if you are sure the bull market will happen soon, and the other things are you need to control your emotion when you see the market because the market will up and down in many times. If you cannot control the emotion, you will attract to sell fast especially if the price drops too deep.

I also heard that current bear market is the longest in crypto history. I was putting biggest expectations on the next halving, but as I got from other people's opinion everything may change before that, it's too long to wait and the situation may change every moment.
The longest bear I've ever experience, but I'm not scared for the future because I know it will rise again. Its just unfortunate for those who can't afford to wait anymore, and sold their token at a loss. We should wait for more times before we finally see the uptrend, it will be worth it if ever so take it easy for now.

Yes, this is the longest bear market we have ever met in crypto and that's why I am not able to predict about when will end this hard situation of the crypto market. Still, we love to believe that the bear market will end this year and the crypto market can be stable! but honestly, I am not waiting for the bull run or a sudden big pump!

I think bear market will last until up to this year and I think this is also the year that we can see some improvement again on bitcoin value, but still, no one can exactly know how long does it take. I don't know but prepare for the worst is the right option we have. Market can up or down because trust, as long people still do trade/ invest using crypto market will survive. I think you can join another method to keep get income, many ways already in google just take one and have a good trip.
As it stands, we can get to sub 3k levels or bounce slowly back to 4k. Again we won't know.
We cannot know the next direction the bitcoin will take,which makes op's question to a certain level redundant,we can only watch and hope the prices go up,but it's not a centralized system,so no body takes any responsibility for anything.We have to hope that factors that cause a rise show up and bring a long lasting end to this prolonged bear market

Right. Though that should always be the way to deal with it, never rely solely on your crypto trading since these kinds of situation often happens. As it stands, we can get to sub 3k levels or bounce slowly back to 4k. Again we won't know.

I admit, I will be tempted. But most of my coins are in cold storage, and I believe I would be lazy to load my seeds up in a wallet just to sell some of them, and then make a new cold storage again for the rest, just like the first time. Hahaha
This is what everyone says. They say so because they don't actually believe in second chances (and many don't believe in chances at all), and sometimes it backfires. But I assure you that you would do anything if there was a real opportunity and you had a valuable stash of coins. People who had forgotten about their coins were digging up dumps to find the hard drive they were stored on

That's a common misconception (other than the part about growth in demand). Scarcity doesn't mean utility
But from a HODLING standpoint, wouldn't you believe that it is the right time to start accumulating while the price is low?
We should firmly face the truth, no matter whatAs the majority of holders have become such because they were just unlucky and kept on holding when they should have sold. In this way, there is no "HODLING standpoint". Simply put, it is an invention of lost souls (aka bagholders) to justify their mistake somehow and try to rationalize it
How is "hodling" an invention of "lost souls" to justify bag hodling? I hodl, not because of my average buying price, which is lower than its price now I might add. I hodl, because I believe in Bitcoin for idealogical reasons, and as an investment in sound money

Ok I misunderstood your point. I define "market" as every aspect of Bitcoin changing hands, including exchanges. The more people hodl Bitcoin, the more scarce it will be
But it doesn't necessarily make it more valuable (let alone more useful)
But it does. Any scarce resource with a growth in demand, which Bitcoin is, will become more valuable.
It is for sure that this bear market wouldn't last for ever, but nobody knows how long this would continue. Over the past few weeks, we have seen the sign of market recovery, but that hasn't lasted long.
