There's no stipulated or defined timeframe for ICOs, some end in minutes while there are others that take weeks, months and even years to end. It depends on the interest from the investors and their target goal.

That is quite long for a bounty campaign, if it is a legit ICO it's ok to last that long but if you are not so sure then it's better to take off the signature ask them first if you can keep your stakes, it's your decision to stay or get out.

This is the risk when joining up bounty programs and actually I did experience the same thing too when I do join bounty wayback on last year.The duration extends to 4-5 months delay due to market condition
which I do understand and still continue to advertise their company.On the end when they finish their sale,bounty rewards is again delayed with having some various reasons blah blah blah and as a bounter
you cant do anything about it neither you would got paid on tokens or not at all.

I guess that was about the ico era, but there are still hyped icos and the next should be celer network and that will end just in some minutes dude, so many people sold their BTT and FET to participate in celer. ico will be last forever.

They tell you they are in seed round or private sale, whatever way they may call it and offer larger bonuses that will entice investors into buying with the hope that they have the coins for cheap and for that matter they are lucky but here is the case that period never ends so in turns out to be that the investors are losers instead of being lucky.

This is the problem of your friend that he hasn't learnt to choose the good ICOs and their bounty campaigns. It was obvious from the start that the project you mentioned is just a bullsh*t, you need only one glance at the dev team and everything is clear...So this is a good lesson for your friend. Such "ICOs" can last forever just because they are scam from the beginning. Be wise and don't fall into scam!

An ICO can last as long as it can and whenever they hit their target, then they can stop but it is not nice when bounty hunters starts disturbing them on telegram asking funny questions.

Usually that's the normal period of an ICO but there are some that goes beyond to that point of reaching 6 months or even more. IIRC, there are few ICOs before that even made up to a year.

But ICO often experiences extended duration. This is done to achieve Soft Cap sales. But some have reached Soft Cap and ICO continues to Hard Cap.

There is no regulations bounding the time frame for an ICO. An ICO may last based on the scheduled time and dates on the road map which can normally be found on the whitepaper. Other ICOs may be postponed due to some few factors interfering during the initial phase of the ICO. It is always good to follow the news channels of the ICO for updates.

Usually it will lasting for few months or until the hard cap is reached, but not forever of course.
ICO without time limit will discourage investors who want to participating in the ICO sale.
This is because they cannot predict and know about when they can earn the Return of their investment.

It's impossible to predict how long an ICO project will last. The time an ICO project will last depend on how long will they sold out their token. There are so many ICO projects ended right after private sale or presale ended because they reached their hardcap but there are so many other ICO projects last for months because they still need more money for their project or maybe they still don't touch the softcap.
